Red Stag Grill-Grand Bohemian Hotel AshevilleOne of the best dinners myOne of the best dinners my husband and I have had for a long time!! Everything about it was superb!!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulMy wife and I had a wonderful time during the whole evening and the food was spot on in all aspects. The wine list had several notable reds which was a great addition to our meal. The staff was very helpful but could be more in tune as to when to approach the table. This attention to detail and the menu will put this restaurant in the top tier selection for those looking for a fantastic evening out.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Mother's Day BrunchMy sister and I attended the Red Stag Restaurant for their Mother's Day brunch. The menu for this brunch is a price fixed menu for three courses and the selections are a gastronomic delight. We both had the fried green tomatoes with deviled egg and topped with shrimp. The entrees were delightful. My sister enjoyed the red grouper and I delighted in the unique Eggs Benedict. This particular presentation replaces the traditional Canadian bacon with a very nice small filet mignon as well as crab meat and all topped with a wonderful Hollandaise sauce. The third course was the desserts and we selected the strawberry dessert and the chocolate dessert. Both were delicious. Service was spot on. The bar was a nice place to wait before seating.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was the restaurant forThis was the restaurant for a upscale (not downtown but and activity centered ) hotel. Parking around the hotel -scarce but free valet at door.
We were from out of town and dined early mid week so things were not rushed.
The tasting menu was quite nice, even though it was said to have been part of a challenge like on Chopped, the show that makes the contestants use unusual ingredients as part of the dish. It was a display of the chef's talents and quite enjoyable. The other meal was a delightfully prepared Halibut , a fish not always easy to handle in the kitchen. The sauce and the veggies all blended very well.
Portions were generous including the appetizer. All in all a delightful experience.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful evening! The food was delicious and the service was first class!

Will return for dinner soon!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe decided to go to the GrandWe decided to go to the Grand Bohemian Red Stag restaurant for Easter brunch. We enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere along with the food. They featured a fixed price three course menu which allowed for several selections for each course. We had a party of three and all ordered something different and shared a couple of bites. I particularly enjoyed the salmon but the lamb and eggs benedict dishes were tasty as well. Would definitely recommend to friends.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall a very good specialOverall a very good special occasion spot. Great service and atmosphere, food is always goods. We had Easter Brunch and were very pleased.only problem was that after a local tax and establishment added gratuity, the advertised price was off the mark quite a bit. Still recommend for any special occasion.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional!Exception food quality. Well informed and friendly servers. This is a great spot for breakfast and brunch. Prices are an awesome value considering the quality and ambiance3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply the best of food, ambiance,Simply the best of food, ambiance, service and luxury surroundings and great location close to shopping and Biltmore3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had wonderful dinner. We had wonderful dinner. The only complaints we had were the lighting made it very difficult to see what you were eating. The dessert menu blinded us at the end of the evening. (Cool idea with the menu lighting up!!) Also, we ordered a glass of wine ($18.00 a glass) and it was very warm. The bartender said it was very difficult to keep red wine at the optimum temperature. That problem should be fixed. You have a great wine list, however, I'm not sure I would order red wine by the glass. Overall, we had a very nice experience.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe prices were high, butThe prices were high, but the service, food and wine were very good, and worth the price. Complimentary valet parking was an added bonus. Interesting back lit wine and dessert menus. It took longer to get our food than I like, but I may be a bit impatient.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ambiance in a beautiful hotelWonderful evening in a classic setting which felt like a hunting lodge.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
