Diner Reviews
  • "This was our first visit to Red Square, and it was great. The stroganoff, in not traditional, was outstanding. Everything from appetizers to dessert was wonderful (except we probably ate too much!). The service was warm and attentive."

  • "A wonderful combo of traditional eastern european food and drink with an extremely modern approach. Food was awesome, service simply outstanding. Great night out!"

  • "The steak portions were adequate. However, the fish and duck portions were small. Was still hungry when finished. The root vegetable medley was almost all brussells sprouts--not squash. Calamari had way too much pepper on it. Menu is very limited. Service is very good."

  • "Our last visit, like the many before, was excellent in all respects. Appetizers, vodka, Irina's Corner Russian dishes and the seafood entrees were again the high quality we have experienced over the years."

  • "We took our well-traveled and discerning guests from L.A. here for a unique dining experience and the vodka infusions. They loved the food and ambiance, as well as the spirits. Unfortunately, one of our guests found a piece of broken glass in his soup. Management promptly worked to resolve this issue, and everything else was outstanding. Our guest still says this is his new favorite restaurant in Denver. All dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection."

  • "What a pleasant place to dine. Wonderful food, great staff and overall wonderful time."

  • "Although often thought of as an outstanding vodka bar, with seemingly endless flavored vodkas, the food is excellent. Many interesting dishes with a more continental bent, with a number of Russian specialties to justify the restaurant's name. The beef stroganoff, their signature dish, is wonderful, made with an excellent cut of steak. A great selection of appetizers as well. Service, even when busy, is attentive and friendly. We'll be back many times."

  • "Have enjoyed this restaurant on previous visits, but this time found it too noisy and the food disappointing. One dish was good (lamb), the other was not (duck breast was tough and not good). For the prices, should be much better. Thumping rock music was also not conducive to enjoying a special meal, which this was supposed to be."

  • "Just a few blocks from the DCPA, Red Square was definitely worth a walk of a few blocks. The food was excellent!"

  • "Love this restaurant!! Great food/value. Infused vodkas are amazing. Pasha is a dear and Steve is a great host."

  • "Went for a dinner with colleagues while in Denver for a convention. It would not have been at the top of my list, but there were limited options by the time we tried to make the reservation and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good, and the atmosphere quirky, but the highlight was the vast selection of infused vodkas. The prices are very reasonable and the shots are short which allows for sampling a variety without totally loosing your faculties. I thoroughly enjoyed the beet and the horseradish. The service was very slow and our waiter was not terribly attentive. More than once we had to flag down someone else to go find him, but this may be a quirk of Denver as this was not the only place we had that experience."

  • "We have been to this restaurant numerous times and it never disappoints! It's a fun place to go, the food is delicious, the wait staff is always eager to please and the infused vodka makes every visit feel like a special occasion."

  • "Our food was out of the ordinary but very good. I also have to say the waitstaff provided some Of the best service we've had. And, the ambience Can't be beat"

  • "We had been to Red Square Euro Bistro once before & loved it, so invited friends to join us there before a show at the Buell theater. Once again, everything we ate was wonderful, and the portions were so large that we had leftovers to take home. And we had the same waiter both times, and genuinely enjoyed the attentive service he provided."

  • "The food was freaking fantastic, and the specialty vodkas were inexpensive. However, when I made the reservation online ( a week in advance)I specifically asked for a table with a view. But they put us in a smaller room off to the side by a party of nine people who were really loud. Also there appeared to be only two servers on the staff so the service was pretty slow. Four stars for the food and cheap shots."

  • "I've eaten here twice in the past, a decade ago when Denver didn't have many foodie/mom&pop restaurants. Great for vodka. First course: PEI Mussels Tossed in a Lemon-Dill Wine Sauce Tasted good. Size of mussels on the smaller side. Second course: Seared Duck Breast, Brussels Sprout and Bacon Hash, Port and Black Cherry Reduction. The duck was seasoned just right and tender. Port and Black cherry reduction was a good pairing. Both friend's saw their NY Strip Steak well done, but one wanted medium rare. Third course: Dark Chocolate Mousse, Poached Pear Compote, Toasted Coconut Cookie. The cooke had more of an almond flavor, but I still loved it. The mousse was rich in taste. Some in my table liked the pear pairing, others did not."

  • "My husband and I went to a couple of restaurants for Denver Restaurant Week, and this was by far the better of the two! We started out with dill and beet infused vodka shots at the bar while we waited for the rest of our party to join us. We were seated promptly once our party was complete. Beau, our server, was very polite and knowledgeable, giving us recommendations when needed. The selections, portions, and preparation of our food was excellent. The wait between the courses was a little lengthy, but understandable due to Restaurant Week. Beau did apologize for the wait, and we were kept occupied by plenty of refills on bread and drinks. We will definitely return to dine on another occassion!"

  • "They have a great selection of vodka. The bar ambience looked pretty cool. The downside, we went for dinner.... And we saw saw the food was going to be great and it was Ok. We had the denver week fixed menu. We ordered salad and mussels, the salad was very good, mussels Ok. For main duck and sea bass. Not impressed at all with the sea bass... Had much better in many other places. The duck was good. Dessert ok. Now, service was very very good. The place was packed and still our waiter was always around and asking if we needed anything."

  • "We had a really lovely time at Red Square. We were those folks who made a last minute reservation during Restaurant Week and boy were we delighted. All of our food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Our server was really great, we enjoyed his service and chatting with him. If part of the point of participating in Restaurant Week is to get people to come back to your restaurant in the future, then Red Square absolutely nailed it."

  • "We were celebrating a family birthday. Since the party had 6 in it, we were given a large table off in one part of the restaurant which was great. It was liking having our own private room Food was very good; the mussels were delicious; the mushroom risotto out of this world! Definitely would go back."

  • "Go for the food, splurge on a martini. Service is excellent and so is the food. It was very busy on Saturday night but we were able to get a reservation by calling early in the week."

  • "The infused vodka flavors are amazing! Especially the fig. And dinner was just delicious! Service was a little slow, but will definitely go back."

  • "-Understaffed, It took and Hour and a half to get our food. - Steak was ok, not the 75$ it cost ok, but like TGIF good. - Wine list was wrong! I kept ordering wines and the waiter kept saying "oops we're out! Try again!" - Only one waiter for the whole restaurant that we could see and he was super forgetful and slow, two different table asked for the manager in the 2 hours were were there. - the "host" was a super old guy who quite frankly sounded and acted like the place was run by the Russian mob. He was no help. Long and short- 4 glasses of wine and two dinners $185.00= mediocre at best for those prices. - go there for the vodka but nothing else"

  • "For a Holiday the had no problem serving the food w quality & great service. Although I was limited to a holiday menu choice, it was Valentines, the choices were diverse enough to satisfy most palettes. I sent my hubby to see a friend who had surgery so our niece & I went out. It was not clear that we were not a couple in todays world yet were received as if we were & treated w dignity. The set menu had a nice offering of appetizers that were easily pre-prepared for the night but tasted as if they had just been cooked. The main course was cooked to our liking. I had mashed potatoes w roasted red bell pepper added to it that changed the color & enhanced the flavor. The Service was impeccable. The Vodka was well done. Definite return for me."

  • "We eat here on special occasions and it is always excellent. Denver has only a few restaurants where the seafood can always be counted on to be excellent- this is one. The other dishes such as lamb and beef are also excellent. We always have good service- we usually request Pasha but all the other staff is wonderful also. We recommend the infused vodkas and never drive here because we usually enjoy too many of them! There is also an extensive wine menu and when we have ordered from it have never been disappointed."

  • "bisque was like old fish water. Fish was dry. Dessert was cardboard. Vodka is great but there is not enough of it in the world to make you forget the food. Service was fine."

  • "We returned to the "scene of the crime" where my husband proposed 10 years ago, expecting a nostalgically good experience. Both the duck breast and sea bass were outstanding as was the mussel appetizer. Don't expect much of an authentic Russian experience, howerver. The majority of the menu is contemporary, delicious, bistro fare. The extensive vodka list and infused vodka selection is fantastic and the service is spot-on-attentive, but not pretentious. The bar scene is lively and inclusive. I highly recommend this inviting and cozy restaurant. I certainly won't wait 10 years to return."

  • "We came here with a group of 5 girls before a burlesque show so needless to say, we were in the mood to party. Our server was fantastic!! He made great vodka recommendations, was friendly and funny. Vodka: DANGEROUSLY good. Dill vodka, sounds weird - just try it. It comes with a pickle chaser. Delish. Honey vodka was pretty good, chocolate vodka went down WAY too easily (that's a good thing). We had a GREAT time. Food: a few things to note. My friend got the raviolo appetizer as her meal - one lonely ravioli. She said it was good, but it was small. Adversely, I got the mussels app and it was PLENTY!! Oh! And get the potato latkes. Very tasty. We'll be back for sure."

  • "I've been here before. This time on a Travelzoo. My issues this time are that the restaurant's website is not updated to the latest menu so when you arrive, you don't get to have what you wanted because the Travelzoo had entrees for under $26. And you cannot pay extra for anything. I had the sea bass which was over cooked and the salmon was a bit over cooked too. I think the restaurant needs to keep their menu on the website updated so people aren't surprised. Last time I went it was the same too."

  • "We had a great pre-show dinner at Red Square. We started off the evening with different vodka shots that were frosty cold, filled to the brim and full of delicious flavors. We followed those with tasty appetizers and yummy entrees. The service was friendly and prompt. We'll be back!"

  • "We had a great experience. Food was delicious, service was lovely and it was quiet enough for us to feel romantic. Felt like a family owned restaurant, as everyone worked to make sure our experience was satisfactory. We would come again, for sure."

  • "We don't usually drink Martinis but the two that we had were the best Vodka Martinis we ever had. Service was fast and friendly from the entire staff. For the appetizers we had and Pumpkin Raviolio and the Seared Tuna both were incredibly tasty. For entrees my wife had the Duck and I had the Stroganoff, my steak was perfectly cooked and my wife loved her duck, portions were perfect sized. We were there early and watched the dining room fill up so I would strongly recommend reservations."

  • "I love this place. It's easy to get a table at the last minute when every other decent restaurant is booked solid. The food is top notch with fun creative dishes, great flavors and perfectly executed steaks, lamb, etc. The 50 kinds of vodka flows fast. The homemade vodka infusions are so good that you want to try them all but can't. The décor is upscale and attractive. The service is just about perfect where you feel like they actually care that you have a wonderful experience. The crowd is younger and lively with a vibrant bar crowd doing shots. The noise and indeed laughter can spill over into the attractive dining room that adjoins the bar. All and all it is a fun place to have a nice dinner."

  • "We are never dissappointed at Red Square. The food is always perfect. If they only served the Pelmeni I would still come here as much as possible. The infused vodkas always add an excellent addition to our meal. My wife loves the beet vodka, while my coice is dill. Get here if you can."
