Diner Reviews
  • "We had the pre theater, hope the regular menu was better. The stroganoff was re-invented and didn't work or satisfy cravings for good stroganoff. Very disappointed with the short rib and side of ricotta noodles the Kiev was even worse. The joys of Chicken Kiev involve the cutting into the fried breast and seeing the butter ooze out. This came pre-sliced and dry as a bone. The "potato chip" crust gave it some crunch but not a Kiev at all. The skimpy appetisers, mini lobster tacos and the tiny salmon pizza wre adequate. Dessert was a disappointing supposedly strawberry sorbet that barely had any berry identifiable taste Four very disappointed diners will never return there."

  • "Red Square is a nice place to hang out and have some great cocktails, before hitting nightclubs. The food and service is also great and the stuff more than friendly."

  • "This is a very unique place. Great decor, great ambiance, terrific bar and very good food. Highly recommend when in Vegas."

  • "I was taking clients to dinner, and although I had reservations, it took 45 minutes to get seated."

  • "I visit this restaurant every time I am in Vegas. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is one of a kind. I always get a new Russian Vodka recommendation and the caviar is the best. They are not shy with the prices though so be prepared but on the whole the place is absolutely worth it. Visit the Ice Bar."

  • "This recycled vodka bar nods at its Russian roots with a sparse selection of menu items, some with Slavic names, and a nice choice of vodkas and caviar. The food was good enough - we had beef Stroganoff and chicken Kiev - but not spectacular. The chicken was too dry, and the beef was an unfamiliar presentation for Stroganoff - a large hunk of meat on noodles. Still somewhat movie set-like, with a headless statue of Lenin out front, very high ceilings, ornate light fixtures and "worn" floors, the dining room was fun, spacious, and graciously lit. Though the music was very loud (we dined at 7:30 pm) all speakers seemed to be located high overhead and we could hear each other. Not sorry we went once, but no need to return."

  • "From all of the restaurants to choose from, I would not recommend this one. Filet was miserable. Potatoes were not much better than a powder mix."

  • "We made a reservation but the hostess was interrupted several times by people from the bar checking on their tables. We were shown to a table right in the walkway. The hostess just left us and we decided to leave but before I did I wanted to talk with a manager. It took a while to connect with one of the two managers but when we explained what had happened he found us a table that was not in the walkway. He also bought us each a cocktail and an appetizer. The meal was as good as the last time we visited. For our appetizers we tried the shrimp cocktail & the kobe sliders. Our main courses were the prawn & chicken kiev. The only drawback was the loudness of the music. If they waited until after 8 to bring up the volume it would be nice."

  • "The "frozen bar" is lame. Totally oversold. But the vodkas deliver. Had good service once we got someone's attention."

  • "Service left something to be desired. Rarely checked on us although it appeared the female server was the only one for the whole room. She had a couple assistants but clearly was not able to provide service to every table. Food was ok, not as good as I remember from previous visits. I find it hard to believe my wife and I would return. The hostesses, what exactly are they supposed to do? Not very friendly, and not just to us but I watched them be unfriendly to everyone they led to a table."

  • "Highlight of our stay in Las Vegas. The flights of vodka were great."

  • "Decided to give this a try as I was watching so much winter Olympics and it was a great find. Fun decor, Quiet as it is not open to the Casino Floor, great service, food with a Russian Twist-but Americanized enough that all in the party were glad. My Beef Stroganoff was delicious and others liked their chicken and steaks. It could have been the 2 Vodka Martini Drinks we each had, but a grand time was had by all as it was quiet enough to hear each other, but not so quiet that you feel conspicuous for having a good time."

  • "Been here many times. Pricey but worth it. Server was outstanding. Three very young atractive women standing out front checking in guests. I approached them with my date and identifed myself. They were talking and joking among themselves and paid no attention to us. I raised my voice and introduced myself again. The background music was loud and she said she couldn't hear me. Rather than leave her podium and come closer, I was forced to navigate the two other girls and make my way to the podium. She refused to make eye contact with me and was clearly frustrated that I had interrupted their conversation. Sad that such a classy place greets guests in a hip hop way. Once inside, all was perfect."

  • "Went for something different - liked the idea of Russian, especially during the Olympics. We got there 30 mins early and they refused to seat us despite their only being 2 or 3 others in the restaurant. Girl at the front was also curt and impolite. We waited at the bar which was pretty cool (literally - it had ice down the middle). Again the bar tender didn't appear too interested in being there - looked like staffing choices were made on implant size rather than skill...finally sat down (they wouldn't let us transfer our tab to the table) and the food was ok, some interesting options. Waitress at the table was competent and friendly. With so many places in Vegas to choose from their are a lot better options for the price. Would not go back"

  • "We had a wonderful experience and the food and drinks were fabulous all the way around the table! We all ordered different things and none of the entrees disappointed."

  • "First time back here in 8 years, and it was as wonderful as I remembered it to be! The Salmon Pizza appetizer is wonderful. We couldn't decide on entrees, so we got the stroganoff and the chicken kiev and split them. Both were outstanding! Highly recommend that you order one of the Vodka shot sampler platters. They're a bit pricey, but it's all in the name of delicious vodka research, right?"

  • "Repeat visitors, love the food, hate the loud blaring music. But, it's a Strip restaurant, so I guess that's what the tourists expect! Also, just inside the back door to Mandalay so it's very easy to get to, and you don't have to walk through the casino."

  • "Too expensive! We also felt the waiter was trying to rush us out of there. Trying to turn his tables, he kept coming to the table asking us if we were ready to order when he clearly could tell we were talking."

  • "Food took way too long to arrive when the restaurant was virtually empty. Drink was empty multiple times. My side dish of Brussel sprouts was burned. Kobe sliders were good. Prawns were good, but on the small side."

  • "As vodkaphiles, my husband and I were looking forward to the evening. We were disappointed to find that they were out of Beluga Noble (although there was a bottle frozen in the ice bar). They also had no Youri Dolgoruki, a quintessentiall Russian vodka. Service and food were however excellent. We will definitely return."

  • "I have been to Red Square at least 5 times. It changed ownership last year. While the bar maintains its Russian focus (vodka tastings), the rest has changed. The stuffed lobster was supposedly stuffed with crab and Ritz crackers; one could not taste the lobster, only the Ritz crackers and no crab. Service was OK but not great. Very disappointing."

  • "We entertained clients, service and food were very good. However, very hard to carry on a conversation due to the unusually loud music. Suggest other choices if you want to talk."

  • "I've eaten at Red Square the last couple years and the experience was excellent. Now it seems to have turned into more of a night club than a restaurant. The music was way too loud to enjoy conversation during dinner, and there was only two of us. We struggled to hear each other. It would have been impossible with a large group. We asked for a different table in a quieter area of the restaurant but were told it was that loud throughout the restaurant. The food was excellent as always but the experience was anything but."

  • "We were very disappointed. The beef shortrib for the "House Specialty" Stroganoff was very tough and chewy. The Pasta was way over cooked! The Brussels Sprouts were the highlight of the meal. Disappointed! Seeing Michael Jackson ONE after dinner took a little of the sting away."

  • "For a Russian named restaurant, little of the menu was Russian. (Except vodka). Pricey. tenderest filet mignon I've ever had."

  • "One of the best restaurants in Vegas. Definitely without a doubt. The fish is always fabulous. The drinks, appetizers... everything here is absolutely delicious and the service is always the best. Will go here every single time I go to Vegas as I have since the first time dining at this restaurant."

  • "My wife and I really liked the Red Square. I had the prawns and my wife had the salmon. Food was excellent although my wife didn't care for the risotto that came with her meal. Current pop music was playing in the background which we did like. We would definitely eat here again."

  • "We ate here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Apparently the ownership has changed. The food is good but not great and everything is overpriced for the quality of what you get. Our original server was great, but he left in the middle of our meal. His replacement could have cared less about finishing the job. We had to ask to have drinks refilled and to get our bill. We won't be back. It was a total disappointment."

  • "We had reservations for an early dinner (7:30) the day after Christmas. The restaurant wasn't crowded and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding!!! Overall great experience and I would highly recommend to friends and family traveling to Vegas!"

  • "Food was good, loved the Beef Stroganoff but the St Petersburg shrimp a little lacking. Menu on Open Table reflects lower prices than what they show you in the restaurant. The mixed drinks were very good."

  • "I made an an online reservation ..had some rude greeter.. Told to wait with empty tables..Overpriced appetizers of midget amounts.. No mention of promotions such as the vodka tastings..which the email reservation mentioned.. Don't bother..Mother Russia is too cold Signed, A non return customer"

  • "This is a great place to start the evening. We had a few yummy appetizers and dressed in fur coats and hats, then off to the vault for roulette shots of vodka & one surprise shot. It was great fun. Next time we will spend more time there and have chicken kiev dinner."

  • "I was very confused. This restaurant was to be a Russian-themed restaurant. It has a large bar and very loud speakers. We had the pleasure of listening to loud pop music throughout our dinner. We asked them to turn it down which they did for a brief time-but it got louder again as the evening went on. I had a massive headache (and I certainly enjoy music at the right time and place). We enjoyed the food (salads mainly). The salmon was very over-cooked and lacked a lot of flavor. The stroganoff was excellent. The menu and drinks were high priced for the type of atmosphere. It wanted to be a more upscale restaurant, but really missed the mark. Most disappointing meal of our most recent Las Vegas stay."
