In keeping with our mission of a true field to fork experience for our guests, both the Red Slate Restaurant and the Bar at Red Slate will utilize, promote and celebrate local sustainable foods and artisan spirits wine and beer.
Our relationships with the local farmers, brewers and distillers will allow us to offer our guests a unique farm to table experience that begins with the pre-dinner cocktail and bids a fond farewell with a locally roasted coffee that will have you thinking about joining us for breakfast the next time you are in the Londonderry area.

  • "We enjoyed the salmon (not dried out perfectly cooked on a bed of quinoa. The steak was prime and cooked rare as requested with a nice pan sauce. OUr 3 year-old devoured the poutine, and thought her gnocchi were excellent, the sauce was simple and delicious. Great Vermont drinks and a quiet atmosphere. The small bar scene was fun and comfortable."

  • "We were pleasantly surprised when we dined here while staying at the lodge. The food was fresh, using local foods, wine and beer. There were menu choices: fish, chicken, beef for everyones liking. They were all prepared with care and wonderful taste. The chef did a great job. Would definitely eat here again."

  • "The waiter--who was very new, to be fair--didn't know what the bar had on tap (took him two tries to figure it out) and didn't know what the specials were (also took two tries). But he did keep our water glasses refilled. The decor, which really was fine, included unusual touches: metal interior panels similar to the shutters that would be pulled down over a closed storefront, as well as what appeared to be a large antique meat grinder...led to a running joke at our table that at a certain hour shutters would close over the windows and doors and guests would be fed to the meat grinder. Overall, we had a good time and the food was OK, although the website verbiage about a menu based on fresh local ingredients was presumably aspirational."

  • "This was a great place for dinner. The food was very delicious and well worth the cost. The Bar has only Vermont made booze. I was very impressed with the amount of Vermont made booze available to the bar tender. I recommend the Magic Mtn Crush."
