Diner Reviews
  • "We were there on a Wednesday night. The food was great. Service was slow & our food didn't come out together. The waiter apologized. I never was offered a refill on my water & would have appreciated more. I could live with all of that but it was very noisy so we could not hear one another talk which was frustrating. There was a musician who played the guitar & piano adding to the overall noise level. The musician's choice of music wasn't appealing & he never took a break. Wine was supposed to be 50% off, but I wasn't sure I was charged 50% off (because if so, a single glass of wine is what I'd consider very expensive there). I wanted white zinfandel but they didn't serve it so I had to settle for pinot grigio."

  • "I love tapas-style restaurants, and Red Sky Tapas was a great tapas bar experience for me. All the dishes we had were well-sized for the corresponding prices. Two of us had a couple drinks and split four tapas as our meal with the Lobster Dip as an appetizer which more than filled us up. Every dish had a unique and enjoyable taste to it. We decided on dessert just to finish sampling Red Sky's menu. As for service, it was alright. We had to ask for refills a couple times, but our server was new and was adjusting to tapas-style service. The other servers helped out by bringing us our dishes, sometimes surprisingly fast, and the manager checked on us a couple times. Overall a delightful and satisfying experience."

  • "Made our reservation for 4 two weeks in advance to make sure we could see the dueling pianos and it was well worth it. Food was great and the service was phenomenal too. Check it out!"

  • "Been twice now - food is reliable. Love the grilled parmesan romaine heart and the raw tuna. I think there is some room for improvement on the food. It definitely is all good, just not great. I also wish they had some more light options. However, there are a lot of choices on the menu. Their cocktail menu is also really fun. Tons of cocktail options and since I don't like sweet drinks they are always very accommodating to make mine lower cal and less sweet. The service is great, everyone is super nice. Ambiance is good especially since they have live music a lot. There is something about the restaurant that is comforting, easy, fun at the same time. I will definitely go back."

  • "We tried a wide variety of small plates and desserts. No disappointments! Particularly good were the lamb spinach rolls, ahi tuna, grilled caprese."

  • "Went with 2 other couples. We all really enjoyed the food and I enjoyed the mixed drinks, the others had beer. It was the first time for all of us and I know my husband and I will go back. The dueling pianos could have been better. One guy could sing, but he was eating the microphone so we couldn't understand him. The other guy had all the personality and was a lot of fun. We could talk over the music, but just barely. Wish something like this was closer to home in Gwinnett County."

  • "It was in a nice neighborhood, nice atmosphere, and all the staff had positive attitudes. There was live music playing, and even though they were closing they didn't kick us out, they were polite about it. I plan on going back multiple times in the future!!"

  • "Everything about Red Sky Tapas was awesome; the food, service, drinks, and ambiance. The only thing that left a bad mark was open table. I was online at noon to reserve a table at 630 and open table said only 545 and 9pm were available. I choose 545 and when 630 rolled around the restaurant was still well under half capacity. When we left at 745 the restaurant was finally near full capacity. Not sure why 630 was not available online when it was clearly open."

  • "We went later to have dessert and drinks with friends and to listen to the dueling pianos. We were seated up front, which was very loud! But it was fun and the dueling piano guys were excellent!! Very talented. I am so glad we have this restaurant in East Cobb! This is a great place to take friends and have a unique experience. I also love the vast menu of martinis! The dessert are so delicious!"

  • "Myself and a group of friends spent a Friday evening at Red Sky Tapas recently, and had a delightful time. The acoustics of the room were such that at times it was difficult to hear the conversation at our own table, but we adjusted. The food and service, however, were very good. Our personal favorites were the black bean hummus, buffalo calamari, and fried plantains. Recommended for a fun time with friends who like to share small plates."

  • "Red Sky is the perfect place to dine with friends. The variety of choices provides something for everyone. The portions are perfect. Great service .. With each dish served as it is ready, you have a constant flow of tastes arriving at the table."

  • "Red Sky has great food. The pizza, spring rolls, tenderloin mac 'n' cheese, queso dip, szechuan chicken wings & chicken artichoke dip are all fantastic. Didn't care for the lobster mac 'n' cheese (had a fishy taste), but other than that, everything was excellent. Also, the 'Good & Evil' dessert was very good. If you can, go on Friday nights, as they have 'dueling pianos'. The song selection is fantastic ('Brown-eyed Girl', 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', Theme from Cheers, etc), and they sometimes replace the traditional lyrics w/some that are a bit risque. They're very talented and very funny as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, & look forward to going back."

  • "This is one of my favorite places to go when we get a night out of the house. My husband and I were able to sneak away a little early and enjoy a drink at the bar before our friends showed up. The bartendar was great full of personality! When we moved to our table our waiter was not as friendly. Short and cranky! I dont believe he ever cracked a smile. He gave the vibe off that he was not happy about being there and definitly not happy about waiting on us. We were a group of 10, 5 couples, all drinking! We were in at 5PM and our by 7PM. Our tabs by each couple were no less than 75. He made good money off us and still wasnt happy! That wasa disappointment, but I still love the place. I will just avoid this waiter in the future."

  • "I had been curious about the dueling piano performance for the longest and finally got my best friend to go with me to check it out. I expected to get two expert pianist in a battle of the keys against each other for the best performance. Instead we got two guys banging away at keys and singing. Not a bad show but the score selections were so so. On the other hand the food and drinks were great!"

  • "The food was way overpriced for a tapas menu, and the food did not live up to the $$$. We were there w/ a small group for a girls night and the server was not friendly, which is ashamed considering a 20% gratuity was automatically added in, that may have been why, he knew his 20% was already in his pocket. Our server would only show up once in a great while, which is an issue when you're sitting on an extremely uncomfortable chair for 2+ hours and you just want to get out of there. The dueling pianos was a neat concept, unfortunately it was so loud that you could not understand a word they were saying. The only positive experience was that the owner was very kind and came up to each and every table to see how everyone was doing."

  • "My sister had an awesome birthday celebrating. The atmosphere was amazing, the services was excellent. Thank you Matt and Cane for letting us call on you 1000 times ordering stuff and you all were amazing and happy to serve the crazy bunch on the patio."

  • "We ordered a variety of plates and enjoyed each one. As we went earlier in the evening, it wasn't terribly busy but we ran out of drinks (the non-alcoholic ones) at least twice and had difficulty catching our server's attention for refills. Some of the staff were busy while others were laughing loudly and seemed to be having a better time than the dinner guests. Overall, it was a good experience, but more attention to the guests' experience could make it great."

  • "This is a nice place to eat if you want a change of pace from the usual suburban fare of Cobb County. Service was great, but I would only give the food a "fair" rating. Calamari didn't have much flavor. I must have expected more after reading the other reviews. However, both the salads were quite good. Food would not make me want to come again. I would come again for the music, either guitar or piano."
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "They play piano on the weekends, and acoustic guitar on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The food is top notch. Great variety of tasty and creative small plates. Try the buffalo calamari--perfectly cooked, and with a kick you don't usually have in a seafood dish. This is not bar food, there is a talented chef behind the doors. My wife had a few excellent cocktails as well. Definitely check this place out."

  • "I have been here several times for a special event. Seen the dueling pianos twice and the energy at Red Sky is top rate. Great music, the crowd participates and fun is had by all. The tapas is tasty: sea scallops especially; however some dishes need more seasoning; once the risotto was salted, yum. The staff very attentive and always around if you need anything and the management seemed genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our time there. The martini selection is out of this world and you will want to prepare ahead of time with a designated driver; you'll need one. Enjoy. I'll definitely be back."
    Dined on 2/1/2014
  • "Overall, restaurant was great. We came for food and get together with friends and the dialing pianos. Dualing pianos were a disappointment; every 3rd song was a birthday song and didn't feel there was much interaction between the two players. Will frequent the restaurant again for food, ambience and social gatherings, but not on dialing piano nights."

  • "I have come to Red Sky on multiple occasions- bachelorette party, girls night out, my engagement, dinner with friends, and celebrations. The food is amazing, and the drinks are even better. The bar staff and the wait staff are always friendly and knowledgable. I have never had a bad server! They have a wide variety of food and drinks, and it always comes out promptly. There is also a gluten free menu for those of us who can't have wheat. :) I was very surprised as to what was on it since many of my favorites were already gluten free and I didn't even know it! I highly recommend the buffalo calamari and the key lime pie martini!"

  • "Great Food that is always fresh well seasoned and done just right. The dishes are refreshing and not the same old thing you find in other places. The servers are outstanding and will do whatever it takes to make the visit special. The bar staff willing accepts special requests. We have attended charity fund raisers, Birthdays and just fiends for the evening at Red Sky. It is always a pleasure and a value. Terry has built a super team for everyone to enjoy"

  • "Excellent service and food. Made reservation and included flowers. They got all that perfect. Ordered 5 tapas items for 2 people, perfect portion for sharing and not too much food. Waitress outstanding. Manager visited and very friendly. Should have ordered one dessert, got two and too much. Not cheap - this plus one glass of wine pushed $70. Very loud even on a Thursday. Features live music, but hard to hear over crowd noise. Was looking for a "romantic" spot, not quite what I had in mind but excellent experience and will return."

  • "We ad a girl's night out here and everything was great. The piano players we saw last time we were here were much better than the ones there this past Friday, but these guys were still entertaining. As the night got later they did start getting a bit vulgar, but it is a bar so I understand. We still had a great time and laughed until we hurt."

  • "WOW! asked to leave my table- even with reservations through opentable as well as confirming it was my b-day! no comlimentary anything- the owner came to our table at exactly 9pm said he'd offer us 2 choices- 1- to cancel the 3rd bottle of wine we were about to order as well as more food. 2- go to crowded bar and try to find a spot. But the time on our table was up! Our tab was$200- about to be more~~ just to satisfy an overbooking!! That is NOT what I call service. There are way too many place to dine with entertainment that will covet good patrons like ourselves! Not a repeat for this couple of 4! Overall food was tasty and service -(waiter) were outstanding-"
