It is a "must go" for anyone who enjoys fine dining...!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Brunch very PlesantThe only way to go on Mother's Day is with a reservation and so I did book through the "Open Table" which popped open from Red Rocks website, the process was quick and easy followed by a confirmation sent to my email address. The Mother's Day Brunch Buffet was very good, food was at the proper temp. and was being refill frequently so it was also fresh. The server, Ann Marie helped my 86 yr old mother so I could get my meal. It was a slow drive from the convention center ( about 7 miles) but certainly proved worth the drive. Wait staff was superb, not pushy but there when needed. Our waiter was a bit awkward in presentation.He offered unnecessary information about previous staff being fired for not being forth coming information regdg the pricing on the specials menue.We brought the billing mistake to his attention his response was. "I make mistakes" he said they often enter tbl #'s incorrectly causing billing mistakes. We eat out nightly and we always find our way back to Red Rocks, Strawberry Hill. The wait staff is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. We are always greeted with respect and seated promptly. Prior to moving to SC, I had lived in Charlotte for over 30 years. And so therefore, I am very familiar with the fine service offered at the Red Rocks! Also, YES I would recommend this fine restaurant to all my friends (even those who have to travel quite a distance to get there!). Having been to the restaurant on a seperate occasion and enjoying the regular menu, we were disappointed with the buffet. The side dishes were very good but the Ham was a complete heartbreak and the Prime Rib was average at best. Although the dessert selection wasn't bad, we found the flavors to all be blah. We tried 7 different dessert items. Just not what I expected. The service and atmosphere were amazing. We will go back for the regular menu but not for a holiday buffet.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food - just a bit cold.Very very good. Service was okay. Waitress was very quiet. Food tasted great, but several items cold - like the green beans, the eggs. Maybe plates should have been in a warmer. We were so hoping you would have a Belgian waffle station or an omlett station. Only thing else we missed was bread.

And you want to go somewhere that will feed your body and your spirit and usher you into the weekend? That is Red Rocks for me. I can always find something wonderful to eat on their extensive menu and I can count on friendly service every time I go. They go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. And now that the weather is warming up, one of the things I'm most excited about is eating outdoors on the patio there. There may be fancier, more expensive restaurants in Charlotte, but in my opinion, there is none better!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
