  • "Everything was perfect, per usual. The food was divine! The place was rockin' and yet no hiccup in the quality of the appetizers or entrees. The Parisian is heaven on earth!"

  • "We returned to Red Pony after a 2 year hiatus and were pleasantly surprised by the quality, the flavors and the variety of offerings. I had the Ahi Tuna and it was excellent. A huge serving and nice presentation. My friend had the Corvina and it was equally delectable. Service was considerate of our conversations and efficient. Morale of this story: I should not have waited so long to return."

  • "Every employee we came in contact with made our first visit to this restaurant special. It was our wedding anniversary and we felt we were treated extra special. Seth (bartender?) was especially nice and because we were early for supper, he had time to chat a little. A really great guy. The food (and service) were excellent. the menu was flexible (trading sides so we could get what we liked) made the meal very special. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion."

  • "After reading reviews of restaurants in Franklin, we made a reservation at the Red Pony. As a first time customer, they provided a complimentary appetizer....very nice! All of our meals were delicious...elk, lobster ravioli , monk fish & roasted brussel sprouts. Service was very good, however, I felt a bit our server rushed us a bit. We really liked the warm atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. As an added bonus, the Red Pony catered a wedding reception we attended the following evening and the buffet was outstanding....the shrimp and grits were outstanding!"

  • "Lived in Nashville for 4.5yrs. Had a jog w/running club in Nolensville & asked for anniversary dinner recs. Put 5 names in pocket & randomly picked...Red Pony. Made res online, welcomed @ door w/happy anniversary, great touch by staff. Our waiter Steven was superb, 1st time there & had the best gnocchi app ever...wife wanted it for dinner...kitchen special for 1st timers. Guac appetizer was the best we've had in TN. She had Salmon special & I had filet. Kitchen delivered perfection! Decor in restaurant is elegant yet restrained. Wife said it was in her top five best ever. Not an easy list, she is picky. I'm not, but found myself agreeing. New favorite restaurant in Nashville. They hit a home run for us! Red Pony is now our new "go-to"!!"

  • "We chose the Red Pony to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We were a few minutes early for our 8 p.m. reservations and were told to wait at the bar. The hostess forgot about us until we said something to them, so we were 45 minutes late getting seated. The manager was very apologetic and offered us a free appetizer. We ordered the sushi appetizer which was very good. Our meal was the BLT pasta and the Red Pony burger. Both were really tasty and the drinks we ordered were also very good. Had no room for dessert, though. Except for the wait it was a good experience. Our waiter was very good and so was the food. Parking could be a problem but we lucked out and found a spot along the street. We would go back the next time we are in Franklin."

  • "We felt like we were number one. Our server gave us his full attention and helped us make the tough decisions about what I could only assume was truly marvelous food. We wish we could have ordered from the entire menu, because he made it sound so wonderful. The service was impeccably attentive. Brian turned this into a treasured experience for us. Having the neighborhood haunt feel was unexpected, but delightful. A romantic dinner was possible without the black tie stuffed collar feeling. The food came up a bit short of 5 star, but was still very good. Every vegetable dish Brussels Sprouts and the Asparagus came in 5 star strong while the meat seemed bland, but was still decent. It was the best asparagus I ever tasted."

  • "Went to Red Pony before seeing Sheryl Crow at Franklin Theater. Very helpful that we could make a reservation! Food was great...several in our group ordered elk medallions and liked very much. Server was Brian, and he was wonderful...Very attentive and knowledgeable. We always have a fun time and a great meal at Red Pony!"

  • "Had a fantastic time ... the staff was great, the service was fantastic, the food was out of this world good, we had been told it can be a bit loud and it was ... but the overall experience made the noise level dissappear for the most part! I highly recommend this place!"

  • "A group of friends and I surf the restaurants of Franklin, TN once a week. Sometimes our group grows expotentially and this restaurant's staff is always totally friendly, nice about mix-ups and accommodates us to our satisfaction. Now, this does not take into account that the food is excellent and the waiters are great also. it is one of our favorite places to go."

  • "After many visit to the RP for the BLT and beef tenderloin, I finally had the RP Burger and OMG! Absolutely phenomenal. By far the best burger I have ever tasted. It was an honor, Red Pony Reataurant, to have experienced the deliciousness of your RP Burger. "

  • "My wife and I went to Red Pony for our 11 year wedding anniversary. They provided a great seat in front of a window in the corner along with complimentary champagne. The food was fabulous. Highly recommend the Kung Pao Calamari (appetizer) and the Bacon Wrapped Elk Medallions (entrée). The service was prompt and friendly. I look forward to trying something new on my next visit-- which will be in the very near future. "

  • "A great find. We really enjoy the food, ambience, service and wine list. They do it all right. The noise level is comparable to other restaurants that are in older buildings that make use of brick walls and uncarpeted floors as part of the décor."

  • "My wife and I have been dining at Red Pony for years. Before we found them we used to go down town Nashville for special occasions. Now we save the hassle by staying on Franklin and we both agree that their food and drink selection are second to none. We have never been dissapointed with a single item that we've ordered and the wait staff are of the highest calibre. If you want to impress someone or have a romantic evening out try the Red Pony, you will be blown away!"

  • "Having just moved to Franklin, I was so glad to find a great date night location! The Red Pony is a great spot to go on a date and enjoin the company of your better half. ( ask for table on second floor ) If you are with another couple the first floor offers a wonderful setting, The Bar is awesome.. and the man behind the bar is a true professional.. I recommend eating at the bar if you enjoy going alone.. The food is awesome ! I never had bad meal, and if they bring back the Italian Butter I promise to do the dishes for a week! "

  • "Our dinner at The Red Pony was better than average, but not by much. The appetizers and dessert were the best part of the meal. The entrees were average and slightly over-priced. The downstairs dining area is small and the tables were just small enough to be a bit crowded with plates and drinks. I may be overly critical, but that may be because I was paying for it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves."

  • "We had sat by the window upstairs a couple of years ago and greatly enjoyed it. We requested that this time, but when we arrived they said that we wouldn't like it upstairs because it was very loud. We totally agreed that we didn't want loud. So we were seated at one of those tiny tables for two. This was ok but not great. At first it was quiet - about 6:30pm - by 7:15pm or so the other tables filled up and it got quite loud - but have had worse. Roland our waiter was great. He recommended the guacamole with jicama, shrimp and grits and BLT - these were outstanding. Upon making online reservations, I mentioned it was my wife's birthday - this was not acknowledged by anyone. I will come back and recommend this restaurant."

  • "I had dinner with an old friend and we were seated upstairs in the corner. The wait staff was very attentive but not overly so and let us take our time choosing food after our wine glasses came. We were very please with the quality and quantity of food served. But for the loud music coming out of a speaker above us, the ambience would have been perfect."

  • "Took a group of 10 for graduation dinner and everyone enjoyed their food. Our server was a tiny bit brusque and had some strong words for one of the people bringing out our entrees, other that that it was great. Sorry they no longer have the mezzo platter to share as we really enjoyed that last time we were there but the brussel sprout appetizer and the calamari were excellent. The trout was also good as was the lobster BLT and the special seared scallops. The bread pudding - which was a coffee & donut bread pudding was a bit too sweet for me, but the dark chocolate cake and the creme brûlée were outstanding."

  • "The food and atmosphere was great and fun. The service was less than expected - -the service from the bar to the table was terrible. We made reservations for 4 almost a week in advance and our table was by the kitchen while others in much better locations were empty. A factor of using Opentable?"

  • "My wife and I ate at this restaurant last Friday night and was very disappointed in the food and her martini. She has eaten here many times over the last several years and was always very pleased with the food and service. However, this time it was a whole different story. The martini had ice in it and the vodka was non-exsistant. The food was some of the worst we have ever experienced at an upper end restaurant. It was apparent to my wife that either the owner or the chef had changed, and not for the better. There are many other fine restaurants in the Nashville area which we will visit again, but this one will not be one of them. As a side note, there was not a lot of people in the restaurant for a Friday night, and now we know why..."

  • "Go to Red Pony for this dish; it was really good. The amuse-bouche from the kitchen, a gnocchi made of grits, was also fabulous - it should be a standard side item offering. Downside: service was distracting and erratic. The wait staff attending the very close table beside us was repeatedly both overly educational and chatty (not patrons he personally knew either based on the conversation) to the point of unavoidable distraction/irritation. We also had to ask more than once during the meal for water glasses to be refilled. "
