Entertainment: Along with regional wine and food, music is a passion at Red Newt Cellars. Each week, the Bistro features regional musicians performing from 7 - 9pm in the Bistro. Selections are eclectic, including Blues, Jazz and Folk.
Special Events & Promotions: Nine Wines Blind: Biannual in April & November. "Nine Wines Blind" will excite your palate and challenge your mind in a fun and dynamic wine and food pairing dinner: Five courses of our innovative Finger Lakes cuisine, nine great New York State wines to be served with dinner blind. Enjoy wine, food, conversation and conjecture as guest winemakers join in the conversation before the wines are unveiled at the end of each course. Winemaker's Table Dinner: Monthly on Fridays. "Winemaker's Table Dinner" is a special dining experience exemplifying the synergy between food and wine. There are four courses, all paired with wine, with the main course being served family style. The Winemaker joins the table for the meal giving you, the diner, the opportunity to ask all the questions that you have always wanted to have answered, about wine that is.

"Thursday nights means that the wine list is 1/2 price + there is live music. Such a deal. The new monthly menu featured lamb chops which were absolutely delicious - served in a whiskey-based sauce! There is no other place to even consider eating in the southern Finger Lakes!"

"I took my mother to Red Newt Bistro for Easter Brunch. We were running late for our reservation, but the staff kindly assured me, when I called them, that it would be no problem at all and that they looked forward to our arrival. It truly made me relax, as I tend to worry that my tardiness will be interpreted as lack of concern for the staff.

We were seated quickly and given a very attentive waitress, though the other staff not assigned to us were also open to asking if we needed anything. The place was not as crowded as I imagined, but perhaps that was the holiday.

The free pastries and rolls were wonderful, as was my mother's Brioche Benedict. The Mahi Mahi in the tacos was bland, but the salsa was lovely. Definitely visit this pla"

"We went to Red Newt for the Easter brunch and a birthday celebration. The homemade holiday pastries, breads and rolls were wonderful. The menu was small, but our orders were unique and perfectly prepared. We especially liked the wine-flight offerings. It is not often you can taste different wines of the same variety from different wineries at the same meal. The restaurant is small but has a beautiful view and a nice ambiance. It was too cold to eat outside but there is a large deck for nicer weather. We have been exploring the "buy local, eat local" scene in the Finger Lakes and will definitely return here since the menu changes regularly."

"This bistro associated with the winery is excellent. It has gourmet food with reasonable prices. The wine flights available really are a must, as they offer the opportunity to taste several years or different wineries of the same wine and to mix and match food/wine pairings. We enjoy eating here whenever we can, even though it's an hour from home. On this occasion we had Easter brunch, and it was busy without being too crowded. The service and food were excellent."

"Lunch on a dreary Saturday in a spectacular winery and bistro.
The food was delicious and looked wonderful plated.
Two new guests with us were surprised at how good everything was, we weren't.

The lunch had a vibrant atmosphere with so many persons from the winery's tasting room coming to the bistro for lunch, too.

A great place for lunch, and of course, wine and lunch!"

"Red newt never ceases to delight us! We are regular customers to Red Newt and love the food, service and wine list. Chef Holland is doing fabulous dishes with all local ingredients and it keeps us coming back. I loved the choice of 2 sizes so if you want to try a bunch of stuff it's not too much food. Wine flights are great too, who else offers a flight of aged Finger Lakes Riesling? So intriguing.
Great for outside dining once it warms up"

"The Red Newt Cellars Winery Bistro outside dining area was the perfect setting for lunch on an 80 degree March afternoon. The scenic view of the Seneca Lake region was spectacular. The service was very good, however the Vegan selection was unimpressive. The relaxing atmosphere and peaceful scenic view made our experience well worth the trip."
