  • "Really enjoyed The Red House! Friendly and helpful staff, food was fabulous, and we weren't rushed. Will definitely return!"

  • "Four of us had dinner at the Red House recently. It was a first time for all but one of us. We had four appetizers and four entrees, all different but each one was generous and prepar ed perfectly! They even served a complementary birthday dessert to our special birthday guest. Very memorable and moderately proved for what was served."

  • "Wonderful food at a good price! I also love that you can order your dinner as tapas to share. Save room for the amazing desserts!"

  • "I had driven past the Red House for several years, just thinking it is a wine shop. When friends visited from out of town we decided to try it. It is allot more than just a wine shop. The food is excellent with a surprising offering of dishes that are not what one would have expected. I will go back, and it is a nice place to take a small group for an intimate dinner. The boarding house setting means that if you eat inside you will most likely have a private room. The patio is great, and shaded, which helps in the summer in Seattle."

  • "This restaurant was a great find on our visit. In a little neighborhood location the outside dining was great. The wine list is extensive with all the different bottle selections throughout the restaurant. Jeff Andrew has an excellent selection of wines for diner as well as for direct purchase. We enjoyed several small plates and the dessert? The ricotta cheesecake was a hit as well as the pistachio gelato. When back in town for another trip will make this a stop and recommend it to our local friends"

  • "Great food, fabulous service, very comfortable and nice ambiance. This is a neighborhood gem. We don't live near here, but try to stop, if the timing is right either to or from the airport."

  • "I picked your restaurant because a few years ago I dined there with a girl friend. I had the lasagna, and recalled it being the best I had ever had. On the evening of our reservation we were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary. My husband loves anything Italian and he had never been to your restaurant, but I knew he would love it. (He agreed it was the best lasagna ever) I had the fish special which was also very good. We will come back with our grown foodie children from Las Vegas next month, they are also wine snobs so I know they will love your establishment."

  • "Red House is quaint and unique, has a delightful menu accompanied by amazing daily specials. The wine and beer selection are more extensive than you could expect to find anywhere else in the area, and available for retail purchase as well as with your dining experience. The staff are friendly, intelligent, and always exceed expectations. Based on my reservation, they greeted me by name upon arrival, which was a pleasant surprise."

  • "The individual rooms make it very conducive for smaller group occasions, 6 to 10 people and have a little seperation from the main room where you aren't sitting back to back with others. Also good for small groups of 2 to 4."

  • "I just had lunch at the Red Door on Wednesday and I've already told several people that they have to go there. I personally love non-corporate, entrepreneurial restaurants that show imagination and have great food. My sister and I split a crab cake sandwich which was served on a fantastic rustic style French bread. It came with a choice of fries (regular or sweet potato) so we choose the sweet potato. They were actual sweet potatoes, not yams so although they had a sweet overtone, they were more savory. Thick cut and very good. We splurged on a ricotta cheese cake served with strawberries and had a good cup of coffee. I had a great Pinot Gris with my meals. Light, crisp, perfectly chilled. Our waitress was fun and personable."

  • "A nice, varied menu. Loved my Portuguese seafood stew. The clams in it were tender and tasty. Chocolate gelato for dessert had a wonderful dark chocolate flavor, not too sweet."

  • "A great experience each time I go. The food and service are great. It can get a little loud and not really the place to go for privacy because of the set up but still worth it to go. I wish it was beneficial to keep this place a secret"

  • "I love the Red House! You can eat outside or inside, the food is always great, and so is the wine list. There is something for everyone here. I am never disappointed when I come here. We went for mother's day and had a wonderful time. "

  • "The Red House was a very respectable restaurant and tapas place. We arrived early on a Sunday for dinner. We were offered a choice of indoor our outdoor dining as it was a nice day. We chose indoor. The water arrived in a timely manner and the menu selection looked very good. My husband and I wanted tapas dining, the menu could have been a bit more expansive. We ended up with the cheese plate, olives, duck liver pate and mushrooms. Our son had the bacon wrapped filet mignon. All the food was very nicely prepared and yummy. We also ordered a bottle of Spanish wine, which was also very well priced and very nice. The service was a little slower than we might have liked, but all items were delivered at the same time. We'll be back!"

  • "Red House is Renton's delicious getaway. It's tucked away behind some vegetation in the old downtown area. It's quite unassuming but whoever finds it will consider it a gem. Such great food, wine and beer to be had there!"

  • "We have been to Red House many times and every time the food and service was excellent. Recently we had a party of 5 and had a nice roomm upstairs all to ourselves. Food was fabulous as usual and the service was perfect! From appetizers to desserts the flavors were fantastic! Good spot for families, date night, meeting with clients, and special occasions."

  • "We went here for my birthday & I ordered Pollo something that started with an R. It was chicken wrapped with prosciutto, stuffed with spinach & mushrooms with turnip massed potatoes & asparagus - delish. My husband got the steak with fries & said average. He wanted what I ordered. Nice atmosphere of all the little rooms. You could reserve a private room. I would go back "

  • "The chef is pure magic, the entree selections inspired, the wine list truly global and amazing. The Opa fish was exquisite, and I suggest trying the specials whenever possible. However, if you haven't had the Cippino fish stew yet, it is phenomenal. We asked the waiter what they made it with and he said, "It's made with Love." I truly believe that everything at the Red House is made with Love. Very knowledgable sommelier, too!"

  • "Dinner for 4, seated in the upstairs area was delicious. Wine was great, (which by the way we accidentally spilled and the waiter replaced it free of charge!) We ate Steak Medallions, a Chicken dish where the chicken was wrapped in prosciutto and Lasagna. (All delicious) The apple crisp for dessert could have been cooked a little longer (hard apples don't do well in a crisp) but overall, we will be going back. Fun, lively atmosphere!"

  • "My mother and I have been having dinner at The Red House every other Friday for the last couple of months. Normally, it has great service and amazing food that is in season. However, after our dinner last night our spot may be changing. My mom got the Paella and I got the mussels. The paella was very greasy and poorly prepared. The mussels that I was given for my dish had many that the shells were breaking and the mussels themselves appeared very small and deformed. The service was pretty bad as well. The waitress came by quite frequently at the beginning but then during the last half of our meal she was nowhere to be found. Even when she was coming by, she never asked us how the food was or if we needed anything. "

  • "Our food was amazing. Sitting amongst all those bottles of wine in a small room was quite lovely. Oru server unfortunately neglected to share any of the "specials" so we missed out on the halibut and the combo tapas plate they were offering that evening. When she spoke it was barely above a whisper. I found the individual that actually delivered our tapas plates to be quite energetic, informative and very nice...wish he has been our server. We only heard about the other items by evesdropping on a neighboring table. The portions are a good size. Overall we did really enjoy it."

  • "We made dinner reservations for 6:30 and arrived a little early. They wished us a happy anniversary and seated us right away. While they always seem to be busy, the service was awesome and our waiter was focused on each of customers course timing so that they fired at just the right time to be served at a perfect pace. The menu is always wonderful and the courses we chose were excellent. This was our third time there and as foodies it is in our top ten. We highly recommend the Red House as a MUST! We had a wonderful evening, thank you!"

  • "The Red House has friendly, knowledgable staff, gluten-free options, an extensive selection of wines and beers, and a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. I've been here four times and have yet to have a bad experience. The flourless chocolate torte is a good way to end the meal...and if you're looking for mac and cheese, theirs is great."

  • "We ordered steamed clams, polenta fries, lasagna & salmon salad - all fresh and tasty (the clam broth had a nice bite) and the portions were generous. Our server was a delightful young lady who helped us select a wonderful Malbec. I wish I lived closer to Renton. The Red House is definitely a great addition to the neighborhood!"

  • "This restaurant is our go-to place. Large selection of wine and beer, can eat light or hearty, but always good. The building is an old house converted to a restaurant which gives it charm but the noise can be a little deafening depending on where you are seated and since they are often busy it is hard to get away from it. Something to work on."

  • "We were in the area and was searching for something to eat when we came across Red House. The menu had a variety of tapas-style dishes as well as more substantial entrees. The food was good but fell short of excellent which left us feeling it was a little over-priced. The service we received was excellent and the ambience is eclectic (it is basically a converted house). They have a great wine list and a good outdoor seating area (although the view leaves a lot to be desired). This would be a great spot for drinks and tapas after work or before a night out."

  • "I took my fiancé here for his birthday. We walked in and were impressed by the delicious smells, incredible wine selection, and the charming, chatty atmosphere. However, we were taken upstairs and put into an empty room the size of a bedroom. The sunlight was bright and the speaker was off, making it quiet with the fun chatter muffled in the background. Luckily, another group was placed in our room not too long later, and we were all able to make conversation and enjoy our meal. We had the macaroni and cheese with crab meat and it was amazing! We also enjoyed different brews and are excited about returning in the summer to eat on the patio! We'd recommend to anyone, but maybe they should turn the speaker up in that room."
