Red Fish GrillGreat meal!We enjoyed an excellent meal with excellent service at Red Fish Grill. Perfect ending to a wonderful vacation!!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Seafood! We had an outstanding meal at Red Fish Grill. In fact, we both had the red fish special (it's in season right now) and it was awesome. Service was a little spotty and the noise level was high. But the food is what makes this place special. A real New Orleans treat!!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentDefinitely go for the bread pudding! Phenomenal end to an exclent meal. The crab cakes were top notch.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingDinner was wonderful. Everyone in our party of four were very pleased with their menu choices. The shrimp and grits were delicious according to my fellow diner. The crab cake was the best I've ever had - a large cake with wonderful flavor. I will definitely return next time I'm in NO.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and atmosphere were great.Food and atmosphere were great. Same for all staff except our waiter, Tom. Not very attentive. Seemed uninterested. For example, instead of bringing bread after we were seated, we were 75-80% through with our meal and he asks if we would like bread. He put a damper on what was otherwise a nice evening.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood experienceVery enjoyable. Our swordfish and drum fish dishes were very good. Would definitely recommend.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMbest redfish! The redfish was perfectly seasoned. My guest had crabcakes and practically li cked the plate!
Server was knowledgable and made wine recommendations.

Great food especially the BBQ oysters5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh school reunionI returned but my girlfriends' first visit and all were wowed. We had a new drink made with elderflower liqueur and all the food was fabulous. Our server, Ike, was a gem. An internet date met me during the double chocolate bread pudding (divine) and Ike did not rush us while we vetted him!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFun place with great AtmosphereIts all here.....great food, atmosphere and service. A fun place for dinner.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTook a group of clients FoodTook a group of clients Food and service were great, I would definitely go back5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNot disappointedRestaurant was very busy but extremely efficient with plenty of help. We were a party of four and all enjoyed our meals (redfish, crab cakes, and gumbo). Wine steward was very helpful telling us about different drinks and how they were made (and the differences between various establishments). We found out what he was talking about a few days later. I wouldn't call this a place for romance but it was a very satisfying meal and a place I would go back to.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMToo much noise. DifficultToo much noise. Difficult to have a conversation. I got extra brownie points do taking my wife there on Mothers Day.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat casual restaurant on BourbanGreat casual restaurant with classic Southern, Cajun and Creole influenced menu.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Orleans GemThis is our 2nd time at Red Fish Grill. Two of us had the signature Red Fish which was outstanding. I've had it at other restaurants but have always been disappointed in comparison. One of our friends had the Seared tuna which was also excellent. My husband had the Gulf fish, which was drum and he was not as enthusiastic and would not order it again. Drum is not as mild as red fish. The noise level was a bit higher than I would prefer but, we were, after all, in New Orleans. We skipped appetizers so that we would have room for dessert. We all shared a chocolate bread pudding and it was amazing. Our waiter got my friend's drink wrong twice so she gave up which is why the service did not rate and excellent.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the nicer restaurantsOne of the nicer restaurants on Bourbon Street. Great fish.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food

little waiting at all5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMIts terrificEven for New Orleans, with so many choices, the Redfish Grill was outstanding. We had a wonderful server(with a very aprkly diamond ring!) who could not have been nicer. The wine was a well priced Chardonnay. The food was out of this world. Superfresh shrimp, oysters and crab;the bread was not great and it should be but everything else was perfect. Lively but not deafening. We were very pleased with everything5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDining experienceThe food was very good and came in a timely manner. HOwever, the main dining room is Very noisey, seemed that we had to shout to each other at our own table during our conversations.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGumbo! Crispy fish! ShrimpGumbo! Crispy fish! A nice favorite.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter, Ike, was the highlightOur waiter, Ike, was the highlight of the night. Absolutely hilarious. We were somewhat skeptical because of the proximity to Bourbon Street but the food was well priced and delicious. Highly recommend the seafood sampler- oyster lettuce wraps, BBQ crab claws and shrimp.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSeafood gem in NOLAAbsolute wonderful meal and terrific service. Went to Red Fish to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our waiter Van was very friendly and knowledgeable about them menu. Bbq oyster appetizer was delicious and unique as was their banana's foster icecream sandwich. Tuna was wonderful and cooked just right and our son raved about the gumbo. I would definitely recommend the Red Fish. Prices are very reasonable and atmosphere is fun.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHere's what to order! The barbequed oysters, the special redfish, and of course the chocolate bread pudding were the best choices we made.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOrder the Hickory GrilledOrder the Hickory Grilled Red Fish! The velvety fish slid down my throat in pure delight. The flavor combinations of the potatoes and lemon butter sauce were ideal. Pre-order the Double Chocolate Bread Pudding topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a perfect ending - it's not too sweet and not too rich, but 2 of us were more than satisfied sharing one.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been coming here forI have been coming here for several years for Jazzfest. The place has never lets me down. The fish, hickory redfish and Mississippi catfish, were very light, flaky and most importantly tasty.
When they ask you if you want ice cream on your double chocolate bread pudding, the correct answer is " yes".
Great atmosphere, suit and tie not required, but I'm sure you wouldn't feel totally out of place in one.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAll food was wonderful, butAll food was wonderful, but especillay their signature Hickory Red Fish! Noise a bit much!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFor a New Orleans restaurant,For a New Orleans restaurant, the food was good, not great. Atmosphere is rustic but fits the Bourban Street location. Our service was excellent.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed the fish entrees,We enjoyed the fish entrees, nicely served, fresh ingredients. Our server did a fine job. The restaurant was full and with high ceilings the noise level was quite high, preventing quiet conversation and causing one to really raise your voice to be heard.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly second time to the redOnly second time to the red fish grill in new orleans but if I lived there it would be many more times!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fishAlthough the food was excellent, (three of us had the red fish, one had the crab cakes) I thought a simple salad included with the main course could have improved the the meal. There is nothing included with the meal, anything additional has to be ordered separately, so the price was a tiny bit high I thought, but the fish was excellent.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMRed Fish Grill was a greatRed Fish Grill was a great experience all around. First time to New Orleans and with so many places to dine, this was definately an excellent choice. We had a large group, the service was excellent and the timing of the appetizers, entrees and dessert were perfect.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWaiter was excellent. FoodWaiter was excellent. Food was good and presented well. Not a place for a quiet dinner out. Would go back.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic dining spot in theFantastic dining spot in the French Quarter, very close to Canal Street. Save room for the double dark chocolate bread pudding, as it is the perfect end to a terrific meal. It must be ordered in advance, so plan your meal accordingly. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The chocolate souffle is wonderful!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAll in all, a very nice dinnerAll in all, a very nice dinner experience. A very lively, noisy crowd. The fish was very fresh and well cooked. My entrée was Red Fish on the half shell, served with mustard greens. Both the fish and the greens were delicious.
A little less noise would have earned five stars.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIf it were not for Open Table,If it were not for Open Table, our group would have missed out on Red Fish. Food was great, with top notch service.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMYou Will Not Be DisappointedFood here is pretty spectacular. The fried oysters appetizer is world class and of course their red fish is to die for. A not to miss place in New Orleans.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGotta go for the raw oystersWe were a party of six and had to wait 15 minutes or so for our table, even though we had a reservation. Bar was lively and a good place to mingle and watch sports during our wait. Food was all around very good, but the raw oysters on the half shell were the biggest, meatiest, most delicious oysters we've ever had. Kids raved about the gumbo and the bottomless cokes (mom and dad not so happy about those).4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner and wonderfulGreat dinner and wonderful service. Making reservations was easy and we had a most enjoyable evening.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMy group of four had a blastMy group of four had a blast celebrating my birthday here. Although we were late for our reservation and called to be sure they could take us, the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The food was delicious -- especially the crab claws and oyster wrap appetizers -- and though it was a bit noisy for intimate conversation, we had a great time.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
