  • "There were 6 of us in booth and we are not quiet people, but we could not hear each other. We also had a hard time hearing our server who I'm sure she had a hard time hearing us esp since she was wearing a hearing aid. The place was very busy. Our meals were good but not hot and light on vegetables. There is better food in town but not many restaurants were not taking reservations during french quarter fest and we needed a reservatuon. I did end up suggesting the place to someone later over the weekend because of the ability to accommodate a reservation for 6."

  • "I went to eat here a few days ago and loved it. The food was fantastic and the French bread served with butter before the meal was phenomenal. Our servers name was Andrew and he was great. He automatically gave us his suggestions on drinks and entrees and I happen to choose his entree choice which was the wood grilled red fish and lump crabmeat. Oh my god it was the best redfish I've ever had. Excellent selection of cocktails and wines and everything priced moderately. Would definitely recommend this restaurant."

After 40 minutes of waiting and our number not shown on the board I went to ask if I had missed our number being called. Without explanation we were seated right away."

  • "They seated us at a table in a doorway between rooms. Was so loud we and our server had to yell to communicate. She forgot for 20 minutes to bring our drinks, never checked on us after food arrived. We waited 20 minutes for the check. Servers bumped our chairs constantly as they walked around us (there should never have been a table there, honestly). The room on one side of the doorway had three large (12+) groups; maybe that's why service was inattentive to a party of 4. Menu SO overpriced for mediocre, chain restaurant food (gumbo and BBQ oysters were delicious but how hard is it to get gumbo right in NOLA?). Otherwise, ech. Our other five dinners during the trip were amazing; was a shame to end on such a woeful note."

  • "It was recommended by a co-worker, and he did not disappoint. The ratings are true--very, very good food, but very, very loud location. If you're on Bourbon to get the ambience of the "scene", then that should not matter to you. I had the grilled salmon with the vinaigrette dressing. Delicious! My co-worker had the shrimp with bar-b-que dressing. She didn't leave anything behind but the shells. Pecan dessert finished it well! definitely recommend!"

Red Fish Grill caught our attention because it had a large number of fish to select from that were cooked on a wood fired grill. The fish could be pared with a wide variety of interesting sauces ~ Lemon Rosemary Worcestershire & Ginger-Soy Green Onion, to name a few. Both of our meals were excellent. The service was wonderful & our server was very knowledgeable on the menu options. Our only complaint was that it was a little noisy. We would definitely go back & would recommend it to others."

  • "Gotta admit I did not have high expectations for the restaurant which was adjacent to the Hyatt we stayed at on Bourbon Street between the Hard Rock Cafe and the Hustler Store. However, truth be told I enjoyed my meal (gumbo and redfish with crabmeat) more then the 3 very we'll known restaurants i visited during the trip. It was also, by far, the least expensive of these meals to boot. While the atmosphere doesn't scream fine dining, this was the unanimous favorite of our family for the trip and will be on our list of places we'd eat again at in a heartbeat."

  • "We lucked upon an early open reservation, trying to get a little grub before heading to see Elton John. It was gonna be a good night. Well it got even better upon our arrival. Our waiter IKE was the man ya hear. He was so informative and was right on with every description and taste. Started with the barbecue oyster. Oh yea you must try them. Wow is all i can say. Then onto the RG house salad which was a nice tasty fresh crisp treat. Then onto our entrees. I had the grilled black drum served atop sautéed greens and butternut squash and the hubs had the grilled sheepshead on top sautéed greens and butternut squash. Im still on a food high. The atmosphere was cool and bustling and Ike is a must to request if you go."

  • "From NYC, when I spend a certain amount of money on dinner, I expect fresh ingredients. This restaurant is highly rated on Opentable and i really don't understand why that is. A fish (decently good), with frozen peas and frozen potatoes, a mediocre (too salty) sauce for $33, a very tiny salad for $12. This is really unacceptable. The waiters would have been good if in a dinner, but definitely not for a restaurant that pretends to be upscale. Only plus-es, it is in the middle of the very touristy Bourbon street, and it is open late."

We had a booth looking in to the kitchen which was a thrill to watch the preparation and organization. Had an awesome mushroom soup, and the catfish Po'boy, awesome as well. Very laid back charm, service was there but not overwhelming. Someday we will be back."
