Great service and food- wife and I went from a day at WWII Museum- we were early for our reservation but were seated promptly. Attention to detail is a good description- from food to service they hit on all points. Can be noisy once dinning room is full.

This was a very great dining experience. We had no problems with our reservations. The food was really great. Everything from the appetizers to the desert. I would recommend that restaurant and Open Table to all of my friends and colleagues. This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while.

Very good food, the wood fired grill menu is excellent. But for what it is, a little pricey. Pretty crowded too, but service didn't necessarily suffer from that. I feel that a server should be attentive and not be asked for a drink refill, but other than that, prompt service. I'd recommend it as an "occaisions" restaurant.

We just returned from our 5 day visit to New Orleans and I must say MY OH MY did we eat!! We ate out 2-3 meals a day and of all the fun restaurants we tried - THIS WAS OUR WHOLE GROUPS FAVORITE!!! We loved it so much we even bought the cook book written by the owner. I had the Red Snapper which was so delicious!! My husband and our other friend had the Redfish with crab and they both raved about it all week long. Every place we ate at - we compared to this restaurant...and NOTHING EVEN CAME CLOSE. An absolute must if you are in the city!!

What can I say? I had an overnight last yr and met Ike, the dynamic waiter, on the street when looking for directions. Ate there the next day andirons was fantastic, so I HAD to book when visiting with friends this weekend. Again Redfish did not disappoint. Masi the manager accommodated our request to sit with Ike on a busy Sat. Ike is phenomenal. The most outstanding service, very, very good at what he does ( I am in the industry). Recommendations he made, tremendous. Food...the best. 3of us went with the Wahoo, Ike recommended lemon vinaigrette sauce. SOOOO fresh and delicious. A gem, a don't miss right on Bourbon St by Canal!

I was in town for a conference and several colleagues and I made a reservation for Red Fish. A friend had recommended it to use and we were not disappointed. The seafood (actually tried red fish) was fresh, well-presented and absolutely delicious. We split several appetizers and they were outstanding. My favorite was a buffalo friend oyster dish and I don't usually even like oysters. It was so good that I went back for lunch a second before heading to the airport to fly home!

When I first came to New Orleans, I saw all the signs in the airport for Red Fish Grill. I saw the BBQ oysters on the signs and thought, maybe one day I'll get a chance to go and try those. I also assume that all restaurants in the French Quarter get advertised, but that was not the case. This is well worth your time and money. The food is great quality and is affordable and isn't too over priced. We went on a Saturday night and it was crowded, but not uncomfortable so. If you do decide to go, you should probably make a reservation so that you can simply walk right in and be seated.

I really enjoyed the service and suggestions from our waiter Timothy. He was outstanding. He was spot on for suggestions with my shell fish allergy and my husband's aversion to onions. We had the char oysters that were great but I was surprised to see them lightly battered and fried but very tasty. My husband enjoyed the gumbo. The fresh bread comes to the table in white paper bags with red fish-it adds to the crunch factor. Funny how the ears play a little part with the mouth and eyes in the food experience in congress. We both had the gulf red snapper and it was so fresh and clean, not too buttery or overseasoned. It was very "restaurant loud" but what do you expect for a restaurant on Bourbon street !

A tight but varied menu where the emphasis is on seafood. Ate here 3 times over a 1-week visit. Never had anything that wasn't excellent. We had a group of six and had a great meal and alot of fun at the Red Fish Grill. Ike was our waiter and he is well known in New Orleans circles as he has had cameo roles in several movies and TV shows shot in New Orleans, including 12 Years a Slave. He made our evening with his fun banter and efficient service. We all had their signature dish, the Red Fish which was excellent. Also the double chocolate bread pudding is definitely worth a splurge. I will look forward to returning on a future trip to New Orleans and will definitely ask for Ike and order Red Fish again.

I had the most popular menu item, the redfish and it was so good. The French bread was light and flaky, not dry at all. We had a 1/2 dozen raw oysters and a 1/2 dozen of the BBQ Buffalo oysters and both were delicious. The Buffaflo oysters were light and not greasy or chewy, very tender. We found ourselves using the bread to soak up all the extra Crystal hot sauce and Bleu cheese left in the shells. Awesome!

I asked the waiter for a recommendation as to the best fish and ordered the one he suggested. It tasted old and fishy! The preparation also was lackluster. The accompaniments were plain. Appetizer of BBQ oysters much different from usual preparation, and not in a good way. Overly breaded and blue-cheesed out -- might as well have been Buffalo Wings. Only bright spots were the chocolate bread pudding dessert (excellent) and the bar drinks. Unforgiveable to serve bad seafood in NOLA.

The food was fantastic. Our table of 7 ordered different dishes and everyone was pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. Our server seemed a little harried and flustered at times, but overall the experience was a great one. Friday night on Bourbon Street meant the place was packed and a bit noisy, but we were still (mostly) able to have conversation. We'll be back.

Oysters on the half shell were fantastic. Rest of meal was fine. Server was very attentive, but just could not make a lot of food recommendations. Would have expected more for the price. Also, extremely LOUD!!! Did I say how loud it was. For this reason I would recommend going back for the oysters at the bar or possibly for lunch. Just not classy enough for a serious dinner out.

We were seated in a private area, away from main dining area. Very cozy. Service was excellent. Especially our food server, who had Happy Anniversay written in chocolate on the plate of our complimentary dessert. I love shrimp and grits and it was excellent. The shrimp were a little small, but tasty. My wife had Mississippi catfish (is there any other?) huge filet, nicely breaded and tasted great. The red bean and andouille soup was also very good

Red Fish Grill was, in a word, greasy. They had no vegetarian options, even though they made the "vegetarian friendly" list. The grilled Red Fish was good, but not great. Vegetables were all greasy. Our waiter kept insulting his own kitchen staff and diners at a nearby table. It was also very loud. Needless to say we were very disappointed and it was not what we were looking for.

This is by far the Best seafood restaurant in the French Quarter in New Orleans, creative menu, friendly wait staff and reasonable prices. It's best to go there after 8:-30-9:00 to get a table or early before the dinner crowd starts coming in. The one drawback is the noise level but that's the same problem in most hot spots today. Make a reservation and you will be glad you did.
