Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I have eaten here a few times and have really enjoyed it. So, we decided to introduce this restaurant to our extended family. We had a group of 10. The service was excellent. The food all came out at the same time, fresh and hot. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the special, Mako Shark. It was absolutely delicious. My husband and I went a bit early to have a drink at the bar. The bartender, Kevin, was awesome! Thanks for a great experience!"

  • "Been here quite a bit since it opened and always enjoyed my visit. The food is very good, wait staff is friendly & very attentive. They also have a good "Happy Hour" menu in the bar-area!"

  • "We have driven past this restaurant at night many times and noticed that the parking lot was usually full- a good sign of a good restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday - very few diners, which was a bit worrisome. But the food was great! We shared several of the small plates- sliders and Reuben egg rolls were memorable, wings were excellent. Service was friendly but not obtrusive. Good selection of beer. We will be back!"

  • "Overall we were pleased with the environment, the service, food selection was good. Alittle confused with the prices of entrees, as they are just a number (ie: 7, 12, etc) after the meal. If you are not savy on that type of line item it is deceiving. An older person was seated behind us at a booth with a small child. It was a bit disrupting as the child kept banging his feet on the seat. Recommendation to possibly seat people with children in a designated area, away from people without children. We have all been there with children at one point in time, however, once you are past that phase, you would prefer that they have to deal with their own children, not you for them."

  • "We are very pleased to FINALLY find a restaurant that offers such a nice selection of Gluten Free meals to choose from. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great and the service is wonderful. The Red Cedar Grille is now at the top of our list, our first choice, when dining out. Thank you for giving Gfree people a nice place to dine!!"

  • "I really enjoy the food & service--the only problem I had with my recent lunch is that it was quite chilly in the restaurant-- My guest & I ended up wearing our coats most of the time--our server tried to adjust the heat (which was set at 67--but we didn't feel any warmer---other than that --we enjoyed the restaurant"

  • "We decided to hit up Red Cedar for brunch after finding an Amazon local deal. The food was good. Decent selection, but I've seen better. Very tight space to get food from the buffet as you have the tables set up on one side and people eating right behind you. There wasn't much room to stand around or even go around people. That being said the food was still good. My wive loved the "french toast" which was more like a chocolate chip bread pudding. I recommend getting there early. We were there at 10:30am and there was no wait (also made a reservation w/ OpenTable). When we left there were several people waiting for tables."

  • "Nice local restaurant. Busy and loud on a Saturday evening, but the service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Large beer list and tasty specialty drinks. Peanut butter torte is a yummy way to finish off your meal,"

  • "I was extremely excited to try out this place, but was disappointed when we made a reservation, but were seated in the back of the restaurant with rickety tables and sticky floors. The girl even wanted to remove a table and make it SMALLER, without considering the number of people that were in our party. The server was slightly intrusive, and not completely attentive. I asked her twice to bring me a gluten free menu, which she forgot, then while I ordered from the menu, she proceeded to ask me if I wanted it gluten free. The food was good, but I found the portions to be overcompensating for something and overwhelming. My grilled chicken entree came out with veggies...and ham...and steak fries (?). Not sure I will be rushing back here.."

  • "We were seated at a table made from a slice of red cedar, very unique tribute to natural beauty. Crab bisque was great. Reuben special had lots of meat. My fried scallops had to go back though. Something about them tasted bitter. They happily replaced them with shrimp, yum!"

  • "While this is located in prime real estate 309, it's easy to zoom past and over look. My a Wife and I ate here and the good was terrific without breaking the bank! My wife compared it to the capital grille. Great service from Jessica as well, seriously great service thank you:)"

  • "My wife and I used to go to the Inn Flight quite often and always enjoyed it. Since the change we had not stopped in to try the Red Cedar Grille. So the day after Valentine's we had a 'date night' and had dinner at the RCG. It was a very positive experience. Our wait person was exceptional (we noticed several of the wait staff during the evening and they were all very upbeat, friendly and attentive, but not constantly in your face). We were encouraged to take our time ordering and never felt rushed, yet once we ordered the wait was exactly right. The food we had was excellent and plentiful. We noticed a nice kid's menu and will return with our 12 year old next time. A great experience!"

  • "My husband and I decided to try this restaurant on a whim. We were very glad that we did. The Belgian Mussels were fantastic as we my ribeye along with the sides. We were happy that we made the choice of this restaurant on a very snowy Saturday night."

  • "Had the beer brined suckling pig and the pork cutlets. Both were generous in proportion and very tasty. The pork was tender and not fatty with a very good barbecue sauce that was even warmed so it didn't cool down the food. We also had the appetizer of coconut cashew shrimp that was perfectly done. The waitress was attentive and professional and very prompt. The atmosphere was laid back and enjoyable."

  • "Amazing food! We would highly recommend it to anyone. Even though it was a Saturday evening during the dinner rush and it was packed, our food was served very fast and hot with a smile. Every plate from apps to entrees had an elaborate presentation like art work. The craft beer selection was top (hop) notch!! My wife used to go there all the time when it was called In Flight (under different ownership and management) and she said it was really good back then but that it pales in comparison to the new restaurant and chef/owner!! Kudos to the owner, chefs, cooks, and the entire serving staff for making our dining experience at the Red Cedar Grille second to none. We definitely be going back many times in the future. This is a local gem!!"

  • "The Red Cedar Grille is a great place to go for comfort food. The mashed potatoes with colby and bacon were sinful. The sauteed greens were delicious. And the beer brined suckling pig and pastramied brisket were both very flavorful. The only thing we did not like was the fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari pieces were small and way over done, very chewy. The breading fell off of the meat and did not have much flavor. The aioli was bland, and it did not come with a red sauce as well. I am not sure if we were supposed to ask for it as well. I would not recommend getting the calamari. That was disappointing especially because it was a $10 appetizer."

  • "Service and the setting were great. But for the most part the food was average. Suckling pig was basically low flavor pulled pork. Pastramized brisket was too salty."

  • "First time trying out Red Cedar Grille and it did not disappoint. Service was great, the interior is really cool looking, and has a great beer and wine list for anyone that is interested. I would definitely recommend this place to someone and would come back!"

  • "Second time here, service is great, people are nice which made me want to go back. Food mediocre and inconsistent. Had the Onion soup, tasted like someone poured a shaker of salt in it, had the same soup a few weeks ago at and it was good. Ordered wings and Pierogi , we had 4 hungry people at the table and no one finished them, they just won't worth the calories. Ordered the burger, this was good, although the roll was overpowering, for me. many options to add to your burger. Favorite is the fresh cut fries, don't know why more restaurants don't do this. Anyway, tried twice, I may go back and try the pizza, it looked good, but I am not in a hurry. Hope they get it together, the people seem rnice."

  • "If you are a foodie who likes to cook, you must check out the Red Cedar Grille. Finally a great restaurant that serves fresh, home cooked food has arrived to our area! Now I can eat out and not leave saying "I can make this better at home". This place serves everything up fresh with really interesting flavor combinations on the menu. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. This is our new favorite spot to dine!"

  • "Attention French fry fans, the French fries here are amazing. either the regular ones or the sweet potato ones. (gluten free menu available as well!) I have no complaints about this place at all, I was just surprised it wasn't more packed in there on a Friday night! I had the chicken and brie sandwich the first time there and it was so good I had the same thing the next time I went back. Also, the deep dish apple pie was incredible. It wasn't overly sweet or gooey like some apple pies can be. paired with the adorable ball of vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect ending to our date night!"

  • "First time for Brunch. The waitress didn't explain it to us and we had to tell her we'd never had brunch there before. She made note of the fact that crab benedict and cinnamon rolls were in the back and had to be special ordered (but were part of the brunch). The way she explained it, made it feel like she would be put out by having to place in order for them and suggested we "wait" till we had the buffet. Well, would have been great to start buffet but there were no plates. Had to request to see menu for drinks. Sat forever waiting for drinks to arrive. Cleaned up our plates but didn't replace forks. Ended up eating with fingers - couldn't find forks or waitress. Very good food, very lousy service. Cozy booths, atmosphere."

  • "What a great New Years dinner we had. There were several specials offered. I had the crab and scalloped stuffed lobster tail and it was amazing! Also had a small Greek salad made to order and it tasted delicious. Our waitress Cora was very attentive and saw to it that our every need was met. I will give this experience a 10 out of 10. Great job, Red Cedar Grille! Happy New Year!"
