The service is impeccable and we always feel right at home. I walked in to an unexpectedly warm welcome and 4 people at the bar that grew to only 7 before my guest arrived. We were seated at a roomy window table as requested when I booked weeks before. Every dish a standout, including a delicately done skate, light green beans tempura, and an impossible to imagine but delectable dessert of pistachio, creme freche brownie and hot fudge. Very knowledgeable bartender, exceptionally warm professional service at every turn. A definite keeper! Everything from the appetizer to melts-in-your-mouth fish entrees to the savory and tart blueberry pie was just superb. And the wine list was quite impressive for its diverse and superior quality wines. Now I see what all the fuss has been about all these years. They had an ample selection of items to order. In fact, they liked the rapini, a side dish, so much that they ordered a second portion. I intended to order the duck, which was on the restaurant's website. The restaurant had no duck that evening. The waitress apologized profusely, saying that the restaurant tries to change its menu and website seasonally and keep them consistent with each other. As an alternative, I had the kid, which was tasty.
