ReataGreat to be Back AgainMy daughter took me to Reata's for Father's Day. I hadn't eaten here since before the hurricane. From the valet parking through the receptionist greeting and to the fine dining, the experience was even better than I remember when I used to go on a regular basis. The wonderful staff was polite, professional, attentive, and the waiter was especially knowledgeable. The food was exquisite. The ambience under the dome was perfectly fit to provide for a eating and conversational experience. My daughter and I were able to talk in our normal tones. Everyone in the room seemed to be having as a good a time as we.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy western atmosphere.Classy western atmosphere. Great food. Attentive service, and helpful, too. Consistently a top choice!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic StaffWe went to Reata for a birthday celebration and it could not have been better. The staff was extremely attentive and was very dedicated to ensuring our night was memorable. When they found out it was my wifes birthday, our waitperson Jendi gave her a card with a personalized message that she picked up from the casual conversation. They also personalized the dessert. My wife loved it! The food was fantastic as well. Make sure you try the smoked elk sausage. I highly recommend Reata and the whole Ft. Worth Sundance Square area.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for everyoneAs always the Reata did phenomenal in their service and with their food!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst ClassI took my father here for a pre-Fathers Day dinner. The service here was very impressive! The waitress along with the management staff made us feel so comfortable. We had the cowboy rib eyes and they cam out perfect. Great choice for special occasions and a good Texas style steak.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to eat! They have really good food! We had a very attentive waiter and an overall good experience! I highly recommend it!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMdowntown fort worth diningOne of the best places in downtown fort worth to have a romantic diner6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I celebrated ourMy wife and I celebrated our 13th anniversary with dinner at Reata. We started with bacon-wrapped shrimp for the appetizer. There were only three, which seemed a little odd, but they were huge. Wonderful smoky flavor, and they were served with fried onion straws that my wife loved.
I was very tempted by the charbroiled ribeye with butter, but settled on the citrus crusted chicken with rosemary honey mustard with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife had the jalapeno cilantro crusted red fish. We shared a banana pudding for dessert. It was brought to the table on a plate with "Happy Anniversary" beautifully written in chocolate. Great presentation, and some of the best banana pudding I've ever had.
Excellent experience!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMI went twice in one weekI loved it so much the first time that I went two times in a week. Their corn tamales and jalapeno cream soup are delicious. I even had a chicken salad that was amazing. I might go twice next week too :-)6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulWonderful in every aspect. Would eat here again and again if I were in Fort Worth.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful dinnerWe had a wonderful dinner here and have never been disappointed. Our waiter, Eric, was terrific and enhanced the experience even further. Delicious, original food, great service and relaxed atmosphere. Can't ask for more in Sundance Square!!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBest all aroundThe most pleasant atmosphere. Everyone at Reata have smiles on their faces and are happy to help. Last but not least the food was great. Perfect location in the downtown area.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AM39th Anniversary DinnerOur server, Joey, asked the occasion for our visit and prepared a simple, but memorable, dessert plate for us.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMoccasionWe were celebrating my retirement from education and they wrote " congratulations" on my dessert plate. That shows they care.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulWe ate lunch at Reata after our son's graduation ceremony a few blocks away. It was perfect. Our waiter suggested several items. Two of our party tried them and were not disappointed. Service was quick and friendly. The apple crisp was delicious. Everything tasted great and I would definitely recommend the Reata to anyone. Our lunch total for 4 people was not that much more than we would have spent at a fast-casual restaurant, but the quality was much higher in both the food and service.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe scallop appetizer wasThe scallop appetizer was excellent & large enough for 2 to share. Our steaks were cooked to our order and very good. When seated our server asked if we were there for a special occasion. We told her it was our 23rd anniversary. When we ordered
dessert to share, it was served on a white plate with "Happy 23rd Anniversary" piped around the edge in chocolate - a great
touch!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDate NightMy husband and I enjoyed Reata for a long needed date night. We went early in the evening and received impeccable service! It was a great experience and the food was wonderful, as usual!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect night!!Service and food were impeccable!! Complimentary champagne for our special anniversary was an added touch!! Thank you!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMA long overdue date night out!I had the Mahi-mahi with lobster Florentine and my husband had a steak. I did not really care for the rice and black beans that was served as a side, and probably would have preferred a risotto or something, but the entrees were delicious! We also ordered calamari which was excellent! We ordered our desserts "To Go" and loved the pecan pie, the tamale bread pudding was no good by the time we got back to the hotel room. I think the only complaints we really had were that maybe our waiter could have suggested a dessert that would have kept better without refrigeration, and that we requested a table outside on the roof, maybe we could have been seated in a less crowded area, as we were looking for something a little more intimate.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMSweet SurpriseThe wait staff is very attentive without hovering. My husband mentioned that we were celebrating our 29th anniversary. As we finished our entrees, the waitress brought out a dessert plate beautifully decorated with berries and cookies, with "Happy Anniversary" written out in chocolate. Nice touch.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great service. My wife and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary, and we were very pleased.
Reata is a Fort Worth institution, and it definitely lives up to that old oil-money ambiance at a price point that even average folks can afford for a special occasion. The "old west" get up of the wait staff is a bit kitschy, but they are competent, attentive, and professional.
The steak was pretty good overall, though I find the cuts of meat at Salt Grass more to my taste at a similar price point--but I feel that's simply a matter of personal preference, the wine-based sauce on my petit tenderloin was delicious. I'd eat here rather than at Del Frisco's, which I've also had and is quite a bit more expensive.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Night OutThe kids really enjoyed their dinner out. It made their prom really special.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMReata lived up to expectationsSo glad we chose to eat here! The location downtown is very fun and exciting, the rooftop garden/patio is beautiful, and the service was excellent.
We had mentioned while making reservations we were celebrating birthdays. The moment our waiter Deven came to our table, he wished us Happy Birthday and hoped he would make it a great celebration meal.
To begin with, we ordered the Smoked Quail with Jalapeño Cheddar Grits with Molasses BBQ Glaze. The grits were amazing! I enjoyed the Stacked Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatillo Cream Sauce. They were the best chicken enchiladas I have ever had! To finish with, we enjoyed dessert and the wait staff delivered a card they had each signed to wish us well for our birthday. We will definitely return!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMNever been disappointed.Food and service is always excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be going back soon. Our waiter Buddy was wonderful5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Girlfriends LunchFood was tremendous, service perfect (Jeremy was great fun, informative) -- we loved it.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great ExperienceWonderful atmosphere, upbeat, friendly wait staff, delicious food. My wife's cousin took me here 5 years ago when I was in town for a conference and I've been angling to get back to Ft. Worth ever since, in large part to revisit Reata's. Starters and entres are generous, unique and tasty. Get the chocolate bread pudding tamale--my mouth's watering just thinking about it.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first time atThis was my first time at reata but the experience was worth going back for. I went average and ordered a rib eye that was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. If I have to give one negative it would be that the mashed potatoes were a little salty.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service;Excellent food and service; great Western decor and ambiance.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTimely for business lunch!Really enjoyed our lunch......extremely efficient service, excellent food, great attention to detail.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMinteresting and tastyHad reservations 2 hrs before a Bass Hall performance, but would allow for a little more time next time. Food and service were excellent-the Calamari was huge-plenty to share, the bacon wrap shrimp was scarce-skip that one. One person had the venison, we shared steak and lobster, another made her own entree of grilled red fish with lobster florentine-all very tender, tasty, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Didn't have time to try desserts. There was a private party on the patio, but probably missed the heat by staying downstairs-very roomy, we sat under a buffalo head:) a little pricey, but would definitely go again for special occasion.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent experienceTook my wife for her birthday and once again Reata delivered a great time.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely anniversary dinnerOnline reservation system worked seamlessly, and we were seated immediately when we arrived. Food was beautifully prepared and presented and tasted delicious. We had onion rings as an appetizer (HUGE serving) and two salads: goat cheese w/ mixed greens and house salad; both were excellent. We shared the chop special: 8-oz. grilled sirloin & shrimp scampi w/ cheesy mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. The steak was a tiny bit tough but that was probably because we ordered it medium & it should have been medium-rare. We had the molten chocolate cake w/ drunken mixed berries for dessert, and the staff even wrote "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate on the rim of the plate (our server had asked whether it was a special occasion when we arrived).5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place with unique foodGreat place with unique food and excellent service!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved everythingWas the best Mothers Day lunch ever! Food was great and everyone was very friendly!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place for Family CelebrationI took my wife and two sons there for my younger son's birthday and my wife's birthday. The staff was super nice and there when you needed them and not there when you did not need them. The food was awesome. A little pricey, but we knew it would be and were ready for it on our special occasion. We had a great time, and I would recommend it to anyone.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Mother's Day!The Reata was perfect! Fantastic food, incomparable service, and great music!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMperfect for mothers daytook my wife for mothers day and she loved it.
she had a great time and great food!
Will definitely do it again!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTexas GourmetWe ate at Reata for Mother's Day, and it was a wonderful choice. Service was impeccable and the food is amazing-- it has a really unique Texas flair, like the bourbon creamed corn or the cheddar and jalepeno grits-- yum! Highly recommend for families, friends, dates, it's a great restaurant. Also, make sure to try the bread pudding that comes in a corn husk-- SO good.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNever dissappointsThe Reata is a true Ft Worth classic. Wonderful food and atmosphere. We drive from Dallas to enjoy all the Reata has to offer.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's DayI had a gift card from work and chose Mother's day to take my wife out for something special. Reata is perfect for such occasions. The food is adventurous and everything we have ever had at Reata has been wonderful. Our service was the very best. Our waiter's name was Curtis and he was very engaging, helpful and attentive. When we were getting up to go, Curtis thanked us for coming and said he enjoyed serving us. The noise level was a little high because the restaurant was packed wall-to-wall and there was a very good live musician. However, the overall effect was one of warm ambiance, memorable food and service!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day dinnerMy review of Reata to outstanding. We dined on the rooftop and ordered everything from calf fries to bread pudding and everything was perfect! We steak and lobster tails, cheese grits, fried shrimp and lots of deserts! The atmosphere was great, the rooftop was amazing and the day was perfect for outdoor dining. The waitress was very friendly and the service was fast and food cooked perfectly.
We have not been to Reata in a number of years just because we go to so many other places in town more regularly but I think Reata will be put back on the list for our go to steak house.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Mother's DayWe took my mom there for Mother's Day. It was the first time she & I had been. The roof top dining experience was wonderful! Great food and reasonable prices with friendly, helpful staff. We will go back any time and not just special occasions.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMImappreicate how the managerImappreicate how the manager took really good care of us. Very personal service and great food!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMjust okI went in expecting an amazing dinner with my husband and left thinking it was just ok. Maybe my expectations going in were a lil high after I had heard it being recommended by a few friends. We arrived at our reserved time to be surprised that they didn't have us reserved. After a few uncomfortable moments, they ended up sitting us. The noise levels at times was distracting. Great for a group of friends or family vs an intimate date spot/experience. The wait staff was nice, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food itself was just ok. Nothing I'd have to have again. The appetizers outshined the main dishes IMO. Overall, it was just ok. Not on my short list on places I'd have to come back to.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe can't wait to go back!We cant' say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was fabulous from appetizers to dessert! Our server, Marjorie, couldn't have been better! The wait staff as a whole works like a well oiled machine. Plates disappear and glasses are refilled as if by magic - you never even notice when it happens. This was our first visit to Reata and I can guarantee it will not be our last!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMY FAVORITE FORT WORTH RESTAURANTOut of all the restaurants I've visited so far, this has consistently remained my favorite. This is a rare restaurant that has actually improved, rather than declined over time. Every dish I've ordered so far is exceptional. The wait staff has the right amount of attentiveness - not too much or too little. The atmosphere is a great balance of sophistication and comfort. My last several visits have been wonderful!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFort Worth LandmarkReata is a fantastic restaurant for business dinners. It not only provides out of town guests with a flavor of Fort Worth, but has an ambiance and service that promote open communication.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMReata itself is a special occasionIf you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience then Reata Restaurant is the place to be. I dined with a good business friend there and we ate like a Kings. The service was wonderful and the menu had a wide variety of choices. While this is a higher end restaurant, one can dine most affordably or as extravagantly as you desire to.
The steaks were served exactly as ordered, the sides were delicious and portions were very generous. The desserts were sumptuous and a perfect end to a memorable evening. Our waiter was attentive, personable and always there when you needed him and never overwhelming, as is the case at other restaurants I have been to.
I look forward to my next dining experience in this fine dining establishment!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Ft WorthRestaurant was very quiet even though it was full while we were there. Ambience is fancy, but relaxed...a very Ft Worth type of experience. We found any of the game items we ate we're very tasty.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as Always. What can I say? Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic atmosphere and a fantastic price. I dont know where else I could get a porterhouse with lobster crab brulee complete with green beans and some of the best garlic mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life for less than 50 bucks!
Staff was amazing, frequently checked on us to make sure everything was ok. We went there for our anniversary and they even gave us two free glasses of champagne with our desert. Love this place.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
