  • "Used Open Table to make the reservation. Left a note that it was our Anniversary. We were greeted at the reception kiosk like we were Royalty. We were taken to our table where we were introduced to our server Jendi. She is a total delight. Made excellent conversation, shared with us what the specials of the evening were and just as I suspected we changed our minds and had the specials. The Steak and Seared Scallops on mashed potatoes with asparagus where out of this world. We paired that with the Shafer Merlot and it was a match made in heaven. When desert came they had inscribed the plates with Happy Anniversary Wishes and a card signed by the staff. If you have a Special Occasion then Reata is The Place and Jendi is the server."

  • "Have never been disappointed in my dinner dining experience here. Food always superb and a great place to take out-of-town company to woo with a little Texas flair. I'm just sorry that I ate every last little morsel of my steak (melt in your mouth Pan-seared Pepper Crusted Tenderloin) and had no room for dessert. THAT is a rarity for me, as the dessert selections called to me on so many levels, but between the steak & the jalapeno cheddar grits....this gal was full! My date enjoyed the Blackened Buffalo Rib Eye (a first for him), and marveled at the richness of the dish."

  • "The server rushed us &k ept picking up plates and clearing stuff even when we still had food on it that we were eating. The noise level was so bad that even my friend that I was taking to Reata's for her first time noticed how noisy it was and she has one ear that is a bit deaf! The stuffed enchilada with tomatillo sauce was horrible..chicken tasted old and had a piece of grizzle in it. I have had this entree one other time and it was the best! Don't know what went wrong this time??"

  • "This was my first time to dine at Reata. I knew it was a fantastic restaurant, and I browsed the menu online, so I knew the menu. I did not know what to expect about the atmosphere, and even the look. It was a good mix of formal dining and western influences, combined with an open dining feel with several private dining options, including a massive enclosed octagonal room in the middle of the space with large windows and seating for 8 to 10. The food was great and somewhat unique. You will not find some of the items at other casual dining establishments. For me it is a special occasion choice, but it is one that will be hard to beat."

  • "This was my first time here but it will not be my last!Absolutely wonderful!First the decor is so awesome. I love the true Texas feel. And the rooftop bar is so nice (along with outdoor dining).Next time I hope to eat outside!Second, our waiter (can't remember his name). His service for our group of 7 was impeccable.Loved his fun sense of humor and great recommendations. He was all over our table and did a stellar job!Third, the food....every single bite we took at the table was awesome. The tenderloin tamale appetizer and the onion rings were both so good!! Many of us had the jalapeno cilantro crusted redfish. Amazing! The chicken fried steak...another amazing entree. Lastly, dessert....the chocolate bread pudding tamale...to die for!"

  • "I have been to Reata three times now and each time has been a very good experience. I have suggested this restaurant to others and even hosted a large appreciation luncheon here. Most had never been to Reata, but everyone enjoyed the food and experience."

  • "I went to dinner for the first time at Reata for my birthday. Everyone wished me a happy birthday. Our server Shirley was amazing. She is truly what excellent customer service is all about. They even gave me a birthday card signed by the staff. My daughter, who has been in hospitality management for over 15 years said that she was blown away by the level of service. I both had very delicious ribeyes cooked to a perfect medium rare. The views from their rooftop dining are not to be missed. We ate outside in 90 degrees and with the fans going it was nice and cool. I will definitely be going back."

  • "Reata came highly recommended to us, so we could not wait to eat there while on our trip to Fort Worth. It was wonderful! Everything we had there was top-notch. the service was very good, and we loved the "classy Texas" atmosphere. You will not be disappointed."

  • "My wife and I have eaten there countless times and have never had a bad experience. My only complaint is that I don't have two stomachs to be able to finish my food AND have dessert."

  • "Reata is not what it used to be, and that's a shame, given it history and unique roof top bar. On the night we were there, we ordered the bone in ribeye steak, a house specialty. The steak was average at best, lacking the intense beef flavor it should have had. Sides were good. Our waiter was very nice and attentive - the highlight of the night. The real problem here is that you pay premium prices for a steak in a town that has incredible steak restaurants within walking distance. As this is now the second consecutive disappointing dinner at Reata, I would not expect we'll return soon."

  • "We had a delightful evening. Good food, friendly service and welcoming atmosphere was enjoyed."

  • "Yes, the restaurant famous for steaks is a great brunch destination too. My husband somehow managed to eat the entire HUGE cream cheese stuffed french toast with banana & pecan topping, which was almost like blintzes. I had the rancher's special with scrambled eggs & a manageable 4 oz. chicken fried steak (you can also order from the regular lunch or dinner menu). $3 bloody Marys & mimosa's topped it all off. We specifically tried Reata for Sunday brunch to hear Kyle Redd play & were very pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed a great brunch too as we have been many times for dinner or drinks on the rooftop bar."

  • "Disappointing. The Carne Asada was not "high quality" beef and the Stacked Enchiladas (signature dish) were mediocre. We were ther for Sunday Brunch/Lunch. Perhaps things are better for dinner."

  • "Everyone was very friendly and accommodating but we drove from Dallas primarily for the food and it was just so so. Waiter touted the buffalo burger but the bun was dry....also touted was the chicken fried steak but it was only O.K. not wonderful. Bloody Mary was definitely humdrum. The fried onions and ketchup were great but I ordered the carne with the cheese enchilada...steak was very good but enchilada had way too much cheese in it....I removed the cheese and just ate the steak. The restaurant was not busy and we were there around noon so there was no excuse for the appetizer tray to have dry tamales or over cooked mountain oysters....the rest of the appetizer tray was delicious but overall the meal was disappointing."

  • "This restaurant was perfect for our 2nd anniversary dinner. We had drinks and calamari up on the rooftop deck which is pretty breathtaking. We had dinner down in the main dining room and our server did everything she could to make it special for us. I had the tenderloin wrapped in bacon and my fiance had the salmon and we split a side of mac n' cheese with bacon and jalapenos. All awesome. They then brought us free glasses of champagne and some chocolate strawberries for dessert. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone celebrating or just looking for great food in great atmosphere."

  • "Chose The Reata since my wife had eaten there a few years back and she has wanted to take me ever since. We started out with some happy hour drinks on the rooftop bar - the margaritas and mojitos were top-rate! We then had our dinner on the rooftop lower level even though it was a bit hot that evening. Our server, Ashley, was super-accommodating and friendly. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience - including a handwritten card for our anniversary as well as a special dessert suprise. We had the cowboy bone-in ribeye, jalapeño cheddar grits, kale pen and bacon mac and cheese, and bacon wrapped shrimp. All were delicious and served very quickly."

  • "I have eaten many times and have enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food but I have noticed over the past year the quality has gone down. I ate with my wife Tuesday night. We ordered a tamale appetizers that was cold and had too much masa. I had a bone in rib eye that was okay at best. The asparagus was warm not cooked and the Jalepeno cheese grits were tasteless. Being originally from Mississippi I take my grits seriously and this was very disappointing to me.i had the pecan pie for desert and it was shallow with little filling but it was only saved by the scoop of vanilla bean ice cream that could have been purchased at a Wal Mart! Very disappointing evening!"

  • "Went to Sunday brunch with my wife and her aunt & uncle. We were both celebrating wedding anniversaries and we could not have picked a better venue for food and service. I had the huevos rancheros off their Sunday brunch menu and it was extremely tasty as well as lots of it! I give the Reatta an A+ for quality & quantity of food as well as service. However, the biggest surprise of the day was going to their 4th floor outside deck patio. This area was not yet open for the day, but it was a beautiful area with a nice view of Ft. Worth. I can't wait to go back!"

Father's Day we made reservations for the dining room and enjoyed another great dining experience with wonderful food and excellent service. We hope to visit again soon and experience the roof top dining."

  • "Good. Having just eaten at Lonesome Dove dulled my Reata experience. Every thing about Lonesome Dove was much better. While the food was good at Reata, it wasn't special. I had the redfish and my companion had the tenderloin. Both were good but not better than you could get at any fine restaurant. And it was very noisy. My companion and I could barely have a conversation without raising our voices. Service was outstanding. Reata is iconic in Ft. Worth. But the restaurant didn't quite live up to its legend."

  • "My family came from Ohio and Florida for the week. We spent our last evening at the Reata to celebration my son's graduation from the University of Arkansas. I had reservations for 4 before I knew my son could be here, we needed 5. It was Father's Day weekend and still we were able to have another seat added when we got there. Food was delicious! We had great cocktails, many appetizers and 5 different entrees. I would like to come back for dessert sometime."

  • "For a place with a reputation like Riata it was very disappointing to find poor quality lettuce in the wedge salad and with the asparagus. Seems like they went to a lot of trouble to try to make the lower part of the stalks of asparagus palatable. Still a very nice place overall."

  • "I went June 14th with a date prior to Jersey Boys at Bass Hall. Had a reservation and was immediately seated at a table for 2 but our view was construction across the street....not very romantic or scenic. Service was great, management even came to the table twice during service to check on us. Never felt rushed. Food was perfect and nicely presented. Ordered Kenwood Sonoma Valley Chardonnay. The bottle was a Stelvin twist-off which caught me by surprise for $42 bottle. Ruins the effect of uncorking but understand it's becoming a standard sealer. Anyhoo, appetizer, 2 mixed drinks, great meal, and dessert, and wine. All total $142 plus tip which is more than fair for this excellent restaurant. Reata is a gem."
