No entertainment that night, so it was quiet. Pretty river view from most tables with a picturesque riverwalk available if you finish early enough.
Seafood platter was superb - succulent lobster tail, huge scallops, large shrimp, with salmon - not the typical talapia or haddock.
Prime rib was very good though a bit of grizzle in it.
Calamari was loaded with fried jalapenos, not our favorite. (Didn't know it was a Mexican dish ;). Red sauce was bland like Ragu. White sauce had too much lemon. Not recommended.
Service was very good. All staff pitched in when needed. Waiter was obliging and took pictures of us. The facility is gorgeous inside and out. Outdoors are scenic views of beautiful, well maintained, lush landscape and the peaceful Chattahoochee River. Inside, its chic, contemporary elegance meets fine dinning. The food is EXQUISITE! We were there to celebrate my Partners birthday, and he had the seafood platter (prepared Blackened) which is hands down the BEST in Atlanta. I had the pork chop, which was cooked "medium well" to perfection! That's a lot being that I don't like anything that isn't cooked "well done". This was our first dinning experience at Ray's and trust me, we will DEFINITELY be returning very soon! It was very limited. Especially, if you are not a big PORK eater such as myself. The desserts were alright at best. The cakes were very cold and came off as store bought instead of fresh from the oven. In my opinion, with the expansion; the buffet became limited inside of the compact area it was in. The french toast was dry, the eggs were overcooked, the flank steak was dry. Chicken tenders are macaroni and cheese are good but not worth that kind of money. The desserts were pretty good but rather limited (almost all cakes). Like family5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful evening...We enjoyed an early Mother's Day Saturday evening. We had comfortably unforced and friendly service that was informative, sociable and bright. She may have been oversat as she didn't appear quite as quickly as we might expect. Our food was unanimously excellent despite my stringent dietary limits. All were of very high quality with appropriate portion sizes. The live music in the nearby bar provided music without overwhelming conversation. One minor call out was a bit excessive air conditioning which left us all chilled by the end of the meal. So we gave four stars on the service due to minor delays and also on the ambiance for the cooler than desirable temp. The service was impeccable from the moment we walked in. I made a simple comment when making the reservation about the anniversary and it seemed the entire staff knew about it.
We were greeted and seated promptly in a roomy, comfortable booth with a great view of the river. Our server, Rubin, was knowledgeable and attentive without being a pest. The food was fantastic from the oysters Rockefeller to the flavorful steak and fresh scallops.
Is it a bit pricey? Yes, but you get everything you pay for. We wanted a quiet, romantic place with GREAT food and GREAT servce and that is exactly what we got.

The bread was wonderful as were the sides accompanying my dish which was the special of the night...bacon wrapped monk fish bacon and a spicy tomato sauce. The fish was not good at all and the sauce did not go with it. At $32.00 for the entrée, you do not want to make a mistake like that. The coffee was excellent and the dessert was good and beautiful. Everything else, every one else, was FANTASTIC! The view is incredible, the food was delicious, and the staff (with the exception of one) was friendly and helpful. Though we were there for a romantic night as a couple, there was a group next to us with menu options easy to share.
