Ray's on the CreekGreat place for a work dinnerThis was a great place to bring employees for a team morale-building dinner. It provided a nice atmosphere that allowed employees to socialize and the food was great and reasonably priced. Their reminder and follow-up calls were very thoughtful too. I will definitely consider it the next time I need to organize a customer or employee dinner.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAmbience was great, and theAmbience was great, and the food was ok. I'm not sure if Mother's day had something to do with it, but I've had better food.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall enjoyableThe service was great, the food was great. Even though it was a little expensive, it was worth it.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur recent visit to Ray'sOur recent visit to Ray's on the Creek was to celebrate a special occasion and it was amazing as always. First time seeing the restaurants new look and we loved the atmosphere and warmth it offers.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional Dining ExperienceThis was my first time dining at Ray's on the Creek. The dining experience was exceptional! Our server, David was pleasant and accomodating. The food was absolutely delicious! A must try are the shrimp and grits and lump crake cakes. I will be back to try the surprise appetizers from the green egg while dining on the beautiful patio.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMRay's is always a great time! The Ray's restaurant chain makes up our all-time favorite restaurants. This was our first visit to "Ray's on the Creek" since they renamed it from "Killer Creek" and completing the renovation. The new color scheme creates a brighter appearance to the restaurant, but not too bright as to take away from the romantic and upscale feeling. Our waitress, Katrina, was excellent and we will be sure to request her again next time. She was very friendly, gave us just the right amount of service and privacy, and timed our meal perfectly. My wife and I had the roasted chicken and grilled Snapper. The food was excellent as always. I would recommend any of the Ray's restaurants for dinner or just appetizers and a couple cocktails at the bar.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWorking LunchI met a colleague there for lunch. The food and service were excellent and they didn’t mind at all that we spent the first 30 min conducting our business. I found Ray’s to be the perfect place to get a great lunch and do business at the same time.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful diningWe had a wonderful dining experience at Killer Creek. Two friends joined us there, and we all agreed the food was delicious, our waitperson, Jared, took excellent care of us, and Manager Jason warmly greeted us and made certain we were enjoying our meals. All in all, it was a perfect evening. We will definitely be going back soon.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been here many timesI have been here many times for lunch & the service & food is always wonderful. I continue to recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMVery attentive and professionalVery attentive and professional waiters; large portion salads that can be split. Steaks, medium to high in quality, were cooked as ordered. I liked the fact that a starch and veg were part of the main entree not all a la carte. Dessert enough to share but was the least favorite of our three courses(berry cobbler). I also liked the fact that they followed up the next day with a call from the manager in appreciation. I would return again.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my firts time toThis was my firts time to Ray's on the Creek. I been to Ray's on the River several times and enjoyed every visit. This was is added to that. Seating and service was fast and food was very good. The green beans were a little bland though. The trout was excellent and my wife and daughter very much enjoyed their meals. When back in that area we will certainly return.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAll was wonderful for ourAll was wonderful for our 21st Anniversary. Gerald was our waiter and he was amazing!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great service.Great food and great service. Food was wonderful and we were treated like old friends. Highly recommend!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunchWe went there for Easter Sunday brunch. We made reservations one week before and all that was available was 10:15. The food would have been better if it had been fresher. Brunch started at 9:00 and I noticed new food being added but it all tasted like it had been cooked a long time. We will try it again but not on a holiday. The price was good for a buffet brunch. Great view of Killer Creek if you sit outside.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall very nice brunch withOverall very nice brunch with attentive staff. Only complaint was the French Toast - it was a brick. A few more vegetables would have been nice.
Very enjoyable!!!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunch was very nice.Easter brunch was very nice. One suggestion would be to include a whole turkey or some other baked poultry (other than fried chicken fingers)for those who don't eat beef/lamb.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThat by far was the best brunchThat by far was the best brunch I have had in Atlanta!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster BrunchWe all enjoyed our Easter Brunch.......although that really isn't a good time to review a restaurant. The one thing agreed upon our group of 18 (14 adults) was that for a brunch the food items should have had buffet markers as to what the food was, fish, chicken etc. many walked past and didn't try. The carving station and omelette stations were very good.
Kudos to the poor staff that was left to clean up the mess at an adjacent table who let their child make an unbelievable mess around his chair and didn't have the courtesy to clean it up themselves.........I'd hate to see what their home looks like!
We'll definitely be back and try the dinner menu on a normal night.......we are a fan of Ray's on the River !3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was perfect in every way.It was perfect in every way. Lindsay our server was spectacular she did a great job.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMRetirement lunch. RestaurantRetirement lunch. Restaurant did exactly as requested in honoring the retiree with a special dessert!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMHave been there twice thisHave been there twice this week for business lunch, and am taking my wife for a dinner tonight.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll be backThe NY Strip was surprisingly devoid of flavor, which I attribute to that particular steer, since the restaurant really doesn't have much to do with the flavor. It was cooked correctly (MR), so wasn't overdone. The NY Strips I cook at home from beef purchased at Costco have lots more flavor.
It was also a little tough, which is consistent with lack of marbling, and less flavor. I think perhaps perhaps that particular steer was mis-graded.
In contrast, my wife's Prime Rib (last piece in the house), which she had prepared Rare and finished to MR on the grill, was superb. She gave me a taste, and it was likely the most flavorful piece of beef I've tasted in years.
The new decor is outstanding - very classy.
We'll be back3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOur dinner experience wasOur dinner experience was outstanding. Not so sure the new casual "uniforms" go with the prices!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday dinner with my husband.Birthday dinner with my husband. Everything was fantastic.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNice improvements since late summerThis is our 1st visit back after the remodel they did late August / early September. They lightened the color scheme up nicely and updated the kitchen. Overall it's much brighter inside and has lost the "sky lodge" look it used to have with all of the wood / brown tones.
Service was friendly and the menu has been updated a bit as well.
Our appetizer was the Calamari which came quickly. It was hot and crispy... Can't be eating any lukewarm, mushy calamari, can we?
We selected Patz & Hall Dutton Ranch Chardonnay which we glad to see as it had vanished from another restaurant's menu just recently.
Entrees were all done perfectly - Filet, Roasted Chicken, Ahi Tuna.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHopefully just an AberrationHave been to Ray's many times for business lunches and dinners in addition to special occasions. This was the first time that I or anyone in my party has been disappointed. That being said, the service was excellent. Our Server was Aaron and he did a great job. Two in our party (of three) ordered the NY Strip. Both were disappointed. If I did not know better, I would say that the Purveyor of the NY Strip was Sam's Club. Neither of them complained, they are just not those kind of people. In other words, they didn't want to get the "Chef's Special". On the other hand, my dogs were very happy with the NY Strip.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe started with salads. TheWe started with salads. The house salad was excellent. The lettuce wedge was small & not topped with much. My wife had the filet mignon which was excellent. My son had the beef short ribs which were just okay. I was very disappointed with the crab cakes. They were mostly crab but not jumbo lump crab instead shredded crav. It was not very flavorful. I would not recommend this dish.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent choices and greatExcellent choices and great service and the pricing1/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
