A word from Ray's Grill
Ray’s Grill, brought to Fulshear by Fort Bend businessman Raed "Ray" Salti, opened its doors on May 6, 2008. Ray's concept was to create a unique neighborhood bar and grill, that serves recipes created from the highest quality of seasonal and organic inspired ingredients from local farmers and ranchers.

The kitchen is open to the dining experience, emphasizing the direct connection from our "field to table" menu featuring ever changing creations dictated by seasonal availability of organic fruits and vegetables, certified natural meats and daily fresh seafood.

  • "Tucked at the end of a little strip of Fulshear is Ray's. It is an absolute gem with great food selections, wine, and service. A wonderful start was the cake bread with homemade butter. The bread melted in your mouth. The butter was scrumptious and makes you realize what you have been missing! I ordered the Potato Encrusted Sea Bass. It was perfectly prepared and had a delicious flavor. It was paired beautiful with a Tomato Risotto which only served to enhance the fish. We enjoyed a mushroom beggar's purse appetizer and the Banana Foster Bread pudding. Both were well prepared. My husband who loves bread pudding and bananas was in dessert heaven. We will definitely be heading back! : )"

  • "This was our second visit to Ray's (this particular visit was to celebrate a special birthday) and definitely won't be our last. On both occasions the food was faultless (quality over quantity), the servers were friendly and knowledgable, and the restaurant has a lovely unpretentious feel about it. I would also add that although we didn't use the bar area ourselves, we both noticed that, unlike some restaurants, it looked like a relaxed place to enjoy a drink without feeling squeezed into a corner. Ray's was recommended to us by fellow Brits, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to our friends."

The wines were good and the meal was excellent - if anything too much food for a 4 course menu - but I hated to leave anything as it was so good. The menu was quail, venison, sea bass and lemon meringue with matching 2 whites and 2 reds."

  • "We took some friends there for the 4th of July. They were impressed. Food and service were great. I had the venison, extremely tender, nicely seasoned, no gamy taste. My husband had the duck, perfectly done. My friend had the fillet migon, his comment was "it's the best, most tender steak he had in a while". The bread pudding was to die for. All ingredients used in the dishes are fresh, locally grown. Katy folks don't go downtown Houston to find a good restaurant, go out to Ray's in Fulshear. Btw their Cosmo was excellent. Really nice bar staff also."

  • "We eat often at Ray's and try to attend the first Tuesday Arts and Drafts. This Tuesday we had a large crowd attending the art display and we all had dinner afterwards - three large tables ( approx 25 people). I don't think the staff was ready for this as it took forever for us to receive our food (we were on a table of 6). The two other couples at our table weren't very happy about this as one couple had to leave for an appointment and was in a hurry. The food, as usual, was spot on but the service was a bit off that night. We usually sit at the bar where the service is very efficient and Trey knows what we like to drink!"

  • "I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a few years now. My wife finally bought a groupon and we decided to go on Saturday for dinner. We used open table to reserve a table for 5:15pm, the process was fast and easy. When we arrived, we were seated promptly and waited by friendly staff. We got the fried frog legs for appetizer and surf and turf and seabass for entrees. The frog legs were good but I'd not pay $12 for the dish. Also the entrees were good but definitely not worth the original price on the menu. Another problem was there were flies all over the restaurant and we had to keep waving them away. This is not acceptable for this type of restaurant. Overall the restaurant was good but nothing out of this world."

  • "We've now been to Ray's Grill several times, and I have very little to fault with any of our visits. The food is not only excellent, but also creative. The service staff have all been top notch, bending over backwards to ensure that our experience each time was a memorable one. We've sampled a number of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and have yet to find something we do not care for. On this most recent visit, I was unimpressed with the fried onions that topped my dry-aged t-bone (they seemed unnecessary and out-of-place on an otherwise beautiful dish), but that did not prevent me from enjoying everything else on the plate. We even enjoyed a small bananas foster dessert on the house, as part of their Thursday night promotion."

  • "We have been to Ray's Grill several times, and it never disappoints. The regular menu changes seasonally and has a good variety of fresh and locally sourced items. The steak and lobster night is a good deal and a good way to mix things up in the middle of the week. The brunch has also been very good the two times we have gone. There is good variety with hot items (veggies, mac and cheese, fish, chicken, etc.), cold items (salads, fruit, salmon, clams/oysters, etc.), carving station, typical breakfast items, and made to order eggs and omelets. Also, every dessert we have tried has been excellent. The staff is always very attentive, and on our most recent visit (on Father's Day), even went down the street to get more high chairs."

The grill and food prep area is open for everyone to see but there is no shame. They don't mind showing off how disgustingly the food is handled. I was seated very near the grill, and witnessed my the meat flipped, my salad tossed, and my dessert fondled with the same unwashed, uncovered, unclean hands used for who knows what. To top it off the ower happened to be there and walked by the grill several times. He obviously doesn't think this is an issue. Well guess what, I will not eat here again. Sorry Ray but this is unacceptable."

  • "Used a Groupon for our first time visit to Ray's Grill. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine and offered good suggestions for pairings. For our appetizer, we had the Mediterranean Lamb Skewers - really good. Entrée - I had the Herb Dijon Crusted Rack of Lamb. The Dijon was a little overpowering but overall the dish was good. My husband had the Dry Aged Angus T-Bone - excellent flavor and paired well with our bottle of Trio wine. For dessert, we had the Grand Marnier Infused Crème Brûlée - I recommend if you still have room after dinner! The menu is just a bit pricey, but if you check out there website - this place does offer specials during the week. Outdoor seating is available. I will definitely be back to this restaurant. "

  • "An unexpected, quality restaurant in a relatively remote location; Fulshear. The menu was both diverse and interesting. My wife and I had the duck and ribeye, and both were well prepared. The ribeye was ordered medium rare. It was not a very thick cut, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it not overcooked. This is a "busy" place with everything from cozy couples to families with multiple young kids, so if you are looking fora quiet/intimate place, this is not really it. Luckily that is not our style, so we will definitely go back. I hear the Sunday brunch and weeknight specials are good values."
