A word from Ray's Grill
Ray’s Grill, brought to Fulshear by Fort Bend businessman Raed "Ray" Salti, opened its doors on May 6, 2008. Ray's concept was to create a unique neighborhood bar and grill, that serves recipes created from the highest quality of seasonal and organic inspired ingredients from local farmers and ranchers.

The kitchen is open to the dining experience, emphasizing the direct connection from our "field to table" menu featuring ever changing creations dictated by seasonal availability of organic fruits and vegetables, certified natural meats and daily fresh seafood.

Diner Reviews
  • "Love locally owned restaurants and this one never disappoints. Food great along with service. The brunch was fantastic for Easter and have already made reservations for Mothers Day! In the small town of Fulshear, one doesn't have to compete for parking or maneuver in congested traffic to have a wonderful dining experience. Take the opportunity to check it out."

  • "Went for Easter Brunch and was very disappointed in the food! Especially for the expensive price for the brunch. On our way out we both decided to use the RR but to our surprise both rooms were out of order!! It was a 30 minute drive to Rays."

  • "We have brunched at Rays for Mothers Day, and Easter. The food is always very good, and varied. We love the lamb and roast, and all the shellfish. The omelet station is always a hit too! When Soren was Chef we thought the food was wonderful, it does not seem to have fallen off since Soren left the restaurant. We live in Katy, and wish we could dine more often at Rays, but the 2-4 times a year are always memorable. Thank you Ray and all the staff!"

  • "The Easter Brunch was fantastic. What else can I say other than I would highly recommend for any occasion."

  • "It was our (group of 3) very first time and I was there celebrating my 65th birthday with my daughter and granddaughter. The food and food choices were great! We had the $10.00 pasta night special and we all ordered different sauces - they were all great! The servers were all attentive and personable without being intrusive. The crème brulee was awesome! We will definitely be back! "

  • "Interior design is superior but the noise level is very high. For an April dinner with a focus on local vendors, I would expect a seasonal menu with fresh ingredients. Instead we ordered from the fall/winter menu. Foie gras appetizer tasted like dry biscotti and too much marmalade. Steak came in almost cold so that butter on top never melted. The freshly baked bread was burned black. Not a place I would revisit with many other fine restaurants around!"

  • "We took our monthly dinner club there, and they were amazed at how great everything tasted. Nice atmosphere, close to home with out having to drive to Mid-town. We will be trying Rays again. Not to mention they have great wait staff, that never let your glass run dry on water or adult beverages."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed our evening at Ray's. The food was good. Fulshear is just far enough out of Houston to be country and quaint but just close enough to have convenient access to anything. I had the rib-eye steak cooked to a medium, which it was, and my wife had the sausage and veal. While our entrees were delicious, they didn't bring us any steak knives. Our waiter brought out steak knives to a table next to us BEFORE their entree's were there. We ordered the crab cakes and, while tasty, they were not very large; maybe an inch in diameter and as tall. I had made a reservation through Open Table and, although we were running late and I called ahead to tell them, our table was not ready and we had to sit at the bar."

  • "We've consistently enjoyed some of the best dining for the money at Ray's. Service is always spot on and the unique variety in their dishes is rare."

  • "The staff is very friendly and willing to answer all your questions but if you are like me you may want to goggle some of the menu items so you can see a picture of the item before ordering. See it eat it."

  • "We are regulars and love most of the senior staff at the place. We have never had an issue with the behavior and quality of the staff. The other night we visited and the food was very good (it is typically outstanding but that night the lobster tail was just not as good as it usually is), the service on the other hand was really really slow. It took us 2 hours to finish what otherwise was meant to be a short dinner. We will be back or course, but we will make sure we ask for our favorite senior staff member (April) as she has always been on the ball."

  • "My husband and I celebrated my b-day there. Everything was excellent! We will definitelly be back soon! Thanks Ray's."

  • "My boyfriend and I have ridden our bikes past Ray's Grill numerous times and then finally bought a Groupon to try out brunch. We've since been back for dinner and brunch several times. The quality, consistency and knowledge of the food and their sources is bar none. I've never had a filet literally melt in my mouth like butter. And I love that the only fish was the special of the day, then I trust that I'm not getting frozen planks from China. I also loved that the waiter was enthusiastic, helpful and friendly about my wheat allergy. He didn't leave me to search through the menu and hen peck, hope and pray that I was going to have a reaction. He directed me to 4-5 tasty entrees that were safe and assured me he talked to the chef."

  • "There were quite a few servers wallking around, seemingly busy. Ordered Mimosas and saw them on the bar, had to go them ourselves. Someone needs to light a fire under them and tell them that walking hither and yon at a brisk pace is NOT service!!! Lamb was OK, everything else but the clams was great."

  • "We have been to Ray's several times and are never disappointed. The chef is a master at combining flavors you wouldn't expect like a mushroom tart with apples and cinnamon. It was absolutely amazing. Our server was really upbeat and made our meal an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back again and again."

  • "Absolute best fish dish my wife and I have had in a long time! The large snapper fillet was pan cooked with skin on and placed over green cauliflower with a butter, mustard and pomegranate sauce. Snapper was cooked perfect. Started off with one of their local field green salads and it was very good. Only negative was we sat at one of the couple of tables for two they have in the bar area and was a good bit of traffic around us."

  • "This is in the middle of nowhere about 35 miles due west of Houston on the extension of Westheimer Drive. But it is well worth the drive as the food is outstanding for the price. They also have a large and fairly priced wine list."

  • "Hidden away....quiet. Great service. Outstanding quality food. Food was prepped just to our order."

  • "So refreshing to find another dining gem in Fulshear! Our server, Steven, was very knowledgable of the menu and wine pairings as well as giving great recommendations. The tri-peppercorn steak was incredible and the surf and turf was also delicious. We enjoyed the wine flight and although it wasn't an impressively long list of draft beer, it was quality. The only reason the ambience wasn't given an excellent rating was because the couple sitting outside was smoking and we aren't used to being around smoking while we eat."

  • "The food was very good. The server was really very good, but over worked. Ray's is a really nice place to have a great dinner. If you want a private note to the restaurant, make sure the space will hold an adequate number of characters. The box on the form was grossly inadequate."

  • "We loved the ambience, the steaks and rock shrimp sandwich were sabrosos. The service was outstanding. We had two kids with us and we were impressed that the waiter offered to serve them as soon as their food was ready. The wine list was affordable. We will certainly return because we were quite impressed."

  • "We were in the Katy area this past Friday night and some friends were driving back from Brenham, so we were looking for a place to meet near Katy. Went to open table and found this restaurant. Read reviews and thought we would be ok. To our surprise, excellent choice!!!! Our waiter was great, calamari was great. Food, drinks, wine and main course were fantastic. We had no complaints. Crème Brulee was a hit as well. :) We had shrimp burgers, snapper, salmon and pork chops. Everyone raved. We had happy plates! :) Closed the restaurant that evening. Definitely would recommend and return when we are near this area."

  • "We absolutely love Ray's. An excellent menu coupled with great service is always a winner. We have never eaten in the main dining room because we find the bar a bit more romantic with lower lighting. We did once have a table in the main dining room but requested a change before we were even seated. But that's our choice. Overall a great place for wonderful food, extra special service and great ambiance."
