A word from Ray's Grill
Ray’s Grill, brought to Fulshear by Fort Bend businessman Raed "Ray" Salti, opened its doors on May 6, 2008. Ray's concept was to create a unique neighborhood bar and grill, that serves recipes created from the highest quality of seasonal and organic inspired ingredients from local farmers and ranchers.

The kitchen is open to the dining experience, emphasizing the direct connection from our "field to table" menu featuring ever changing creations dictated by seasonal availability of organic fruits and vegetables, certified natural meats and daily fresh seafood.

  • "The meal was very good, service was very good, however the bananas foster bread pudding was served cole, probably too close to closingtime but no excuse. We should have sent it back."

  • "A great little restaurant in the suburbs. Very friendly and attentive wait staff, but the great menu and delicious food keep us coming back."

  • "We took some friends there for the 4th of July. They were impressed. Food and service were great. I had the venison, extremely tender, nicely seasoned, no gamy taste. My husband had the duck, perfectly done. My friend had the fillet migon, his comment was "it's the best, most tender steak he had in a while". The bread pudding was to die for. All ingredients used in the dishes are fresh, locally grown. Katy folks don't go downtown Houston to find a good restaurant, go out to Ray's in Fulshear. Btw their Cosmo was excellent. Really nice bar staff also."

  • "We eat often at Ray's and try to attend the first Tuesday Arts and Drafts. This Tuesday we had a large crowd attending the art display and we all had dinner afterwards - three large tables ( approx 25 people). I don't think the staff was ready for this as it took forever for us to receive our food (we were on a table of 6). The two other couples at our table weren't very happy about this as one couple had to leave for an appointment and was in a hurry. The food, as usual, was spot on but the service was a bit off that night. We usually sit at the bar where the service is very efficient and Trey knows what we like to drink!"

  • "If you are on the west side of the Houston area and want a great meal but don't want to drive into the city, Ray's Grill is a great place to go. Great food and great service every time."

  • "I'm sorry but the food was really bad. The restaurant itself was nice, music was good too, but food not at all, and for the price was awful. Good place to get a drink at the bar but not a dining experience. Staff was really good though, but you go there to eat so won't be returning."

  • "I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a few years now. My wife finally bought a groupon and we decided to go on Saturday for dinner. We used open table to reserve a table for 5:15pm, the process was fast and easy. When we arrived, we were seated promptly and waited by friendly staff. We got the fried frog legs for appetizer and surf and turf and seabass for entrees. The frog legs were good but I'd not pay $12 for the dish. Also the entrees were good but definitely not worth the original price on the menu. Another problem was there were flies all over the restaurant and we had to keep waving them away. This is not acceptable for this type of restaurant. Overall the restaurant was good but nothing out of this world."

  • "Place was nice. Waiter presentation impressive but food was not that good. Lacked flavor, therefore overpriced and overrated. Will not return"

  • "Great food on Pasta night. Very reasonable prices for taking the family out to dinner."

  • "We've now been to Ray's Grill several times, and I have very little to fault with any of our visits. The food is not only excellent, but also creative. The service staff have all been top notch, bending over backwards to ensure that our experience each time was a memorable one. We've sampled a number of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and have yet to find something we do not care for. On this most recent visit, I was unimpressed with the fried onions that topped my dry-aged t-bone (they seemed unnecessary and out-of-place on an otherwise beautiful dish), but that did not prevent me from enjoying everything else on the plate. We even enjoyed a small bananas foster dessert on the house, as part of their Thursday night promotion."

  • "I visited Ray's initially with a Groupon for a Wedding Anniversary dinner. I purchased a second Groupon and treated my parents to dinner. They loved it just as much as my husband and I. Great deal with great food!"

  • "Good food, good wine list. Gets a little noisy when all tables are full, but worth the experience and drive to Fulshear. Would definitely go back. The salmon and filet is good, but the chicken fried steak is the best!"

  • "We have been to Ray's Grill several times, and it never disappoints. The regular menu changes seasonally and has a good variety of fresh and locally sourced items. The steak and lobster night is a good deal and a good way to mix things up in the middle of the week. The brunch has also been very good the two times we have gone. There is good variety with hot items (veggies, mac and cheese, fish, chicken, etc.), cold items (salads, fruit, salmon, clams/oysters, etc.), carving station, typical breakfast items, and made to order eggs and omelets. Also, every dessert we have tried has been excellent. The staff is always very attentive, and on our most recent visit (on Father's Day), even went down the street to get more high chairs."

  • "We have been to Ray's many times for dinner, but this was our first brunch and it didn't disappoint. So many choices and all of it absolutely delicious. On top of the great food and friendly attentive staff, you don't have to drive into the city. What a gem."

  • "Took my husband here for brunch and as always food and service were great. Our visit included a $25 gift card for a future visit. Definately going to visit Ray's again soon."

  • "We had two ribeyes steaks which were a tad fatty but had great flavor and were large enough for a take home meal for each of us. The server was very attentive."

  • "Well unless you like people sweating all over your food and preaparing it with their uncovered hands, I wouldn't recommend it. The grill and food prep area is open for everyone to see but there is no shame. They don't mind showing off how disgustingly the food is handled. I was seated very near the grill, and witnessed my the meat flipped, my salad tossed, and my dessert fondled with the same unwashed, uncovered, unclean hands used for who knows what. To top it off the ower happened to be there and walked by the grill several times. He obviously doesn't think this is an issue. Well guess what, I will not eat here again. Sorry Ray but this is unacceptable."

  • "Reservation late, food was not good and cold, service was horrible, menu was scattered and we were rushed out the door on when we were trying to have a romantic night out away from the kids.."

  • "Used a Groupon for our first time visit to Ray's Grill. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine and offered good suggestions for pairings. For our appetizer, we had the Mediterranean Lamb Skewers - really good. Entrée - I had the Herb Dijon Crusted Rack of Lamb. The Dijon was a little overpowering but overall the dish was good. My husband had the Dry Aged Angus T-Bone - excellent flavor and paired well with our bottle of Trio wine. For dessert, we had the Grand Marnier Infused Crème Brûlée - I recommend if you still have room after dinner! The menu is just a bit pricey, but if you check out there website - this place does offer specials during the week. Outdoor seating is available. I will definitely be back to this restaurant. "

  • "We go to Ray's fairly often and we're always impressed by the great, unique food and attentive service. Always fresh and cooked to order. It wasn't as enjoyable for our kids the one time we took them, so we'll just keep it as a date night place."

  • "Absolutely excellent! Rack of lamb was outstanding!"

  • "Ray's Grill is perfectly located in the heart of downtown Fulshear, Texas. We love surf n' turf Wednesday's and their Sunday brunch is fit for a king! The staff is always super friendly and the restaurant is always clean."

  • "We had our Mother's Day brunch there, and found the food very good and service excellent. I do have to say the desserts were rather mundane especially for this occassion. But I would definitely eat at this fine establishment again."

  • "Brought my wife for the Wednesday Surf and Turf. Had reservations but probably not necessary for a Wednesday night for 2 people. Everything was perfect. No wait to be seated, server (April) was spot on for all our needs, food was prepared perfectly and presentation was lovely. We also found out that Ray's does Sunday brunch. We'll be trying brunch in the near future."

  • "The manager was very accommodating to my large party of 15. The food was exceptional and I loved the range free chicken and delicious potatoes underneath. The crème brulee was outstanding. Our waiter was patient and attentive with such a large party. We had a blast."

  • "An unexpected, quality restaurant in a relatively remote location; Fulshear. The menu was both diverse and interesting. My wife and I had the duck and ribeye, and both were well prepared. The ribeye was ordered medium rare. It was not a very thick cut, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it not overcooked. This is a "busy" place with everything from cozy couples to families with multiple young kids, so if you are looking fora quiet/intimate place, this is not really it. Luckily that is not our style, so we will definitely go back. I hear the Sunday brunch and weeknight specials are good values."

  • "Great none franchise restaurant. Staff was great at making us feel welcomed. We had a great waiter and most important the food was excellent. The menu has something for everyone. Fellas if you are looking for a place to take the wife for date night off the beaten path this is it!!!"

  • "Love locally owned restaurants and this one never disappoints. Food great along with service. The brunch was fantastic for Easter and have already made reservations for Mothers Day! In the small town of Fulshear, one doesn't have to compete for parking or maneuver in congested traffic to have a wonderful dining experience. Take the opportunity to check it out."

  • "Went for Easter Brunch and was very disappointed in the food! Especially for the expensive price for the brunch. On our way out we both decided to use the RR but to our surprise both rooms were out of order!! It was a 30 minute drive to Rays."

  • "We have brunched at Rays for Mothers Day, and Easter. The food is always very good, and varied. We love the lamb and roast, and all the shellfish. The omelet station is always a hit too! When Soren was Chef we thought the food was wonderful, it does not seem to have fallen off since Soren left the restaurant. We live in Katy, and wish we could dine more often at Rays, but the 2-4 times a year are always memorable. Thank you Ray and all the staff!"

  • "It was our (group of 3) very first time and I was there celebrating my 65th birthday with my daughter and granddaughter. The food and food choices were great! We had the $10.00 pasta night special and we all ordered different sauces - they were all great! The servers were all attentive and personable without being intrusive. The crème brulee was awesome! We will definitely be back! "

  • "Interior design is superior but the noise level is very high. For an April dinner with a focus on local vendors, I would expect a seasonal menu with fresh ingredients. Instead we ordered from the fall/winter menu. Foie gras appetizer tasted like dry biscotti and too much marmalade. Steak came in almost cold so that butter on top never melted. The freshly baked bread was burned black. Not a place I would revisit with many other fine restaurants around!"

  • "We took our monthly dinner club there, and they were amazed at how great everything tasted. Nice atmosphere, close to home with out having to drive to Mid-town. We will be trying Rays again. Not to mention they have great wait staff, that never let your glass run dry on water or adult beverages."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed our evening at Ray's. The food was good. Fulshear is just far enough out of Houston to be country and quaint but just close enough to have convenient access to anything. I had the rib-eye steak cooked to a medium, which it was, and my wife had the sausage and veal. While our entrees were delicious, they didn't bring us any steak knives. Our waiter brought out steak knives to a table next to us BEFORE their entree's were there. We ordered the crab cakes and, while tasty, they were not very large; maybe an inch in diameter and as tall. I had made a reservation through Open Table and, although we were running late and I called ahead to tell them, our table was not ready and we had to sit at the bar."
