A word from Raymi
Welcome to Raymi, a modern Peruvian restaurant as dynamic as the country it celebrates. Raymi captures the multicultural spirit of Peru, blending the Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, and native influences that embody the country’s vibrant cuisine. The flavors are once familiar, adventurous, unexpected.

The Raymi experience revolves around a central Ceviche Bar, offering fresh seafood spiked with indigenous spices and ingredients. Add to that a Pisco Bar, pouring select labels alongside 30 house-infused varieties of the fiery liqueur.

We look forward to serving you soon. Salud y buen provecho!

We were seated in a dark corner in then early empty back room. The decor was unimaginative and somewhat depressing. There were too many waitpersons who didn't know what to do . The music was really terrible and disturbing. The food was just ok except one excellent fish dish. It was way overpriced. We won't be back even though we live a block away

Great food , Pisco Sour too citric , lost authentic recipe in the Aji de Gallina and Carapulcra, Arroz con Pato better to have the salsa criolla on the side , otherwise the lime will be mixed with the rice , empanadas and pastel de choclo really good flavor , we ask for 2 extra side the rice and they only have one more and anyway the charge in the bill.

I'm not a reviewer, but Raymi was such a pleasant surprise. I choose Raymi because the location was right and it turned out that everything was right. There were four on our party and we all were impressed with the innovative fusion menu and we all were blown away by the things we ordered. (tuna ceviche, cod, duck, amazing corn empanadas, and three fabulous) The service was impeccable and the restaurant was very attractive.

  • Fantastic service. The food
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 7/29/2012
Fantastic service. The food was also incredible, although I'm not sure if it is 100% Peruvian. Some ingredients and combinations were more Mexican than Peruvian (for instance, Peruvians would never put cilantro or avocado in their ceviche), but you would only mind if you are a Peruvian food purist. And, as I said, food was delicious anyway. The ambiance is also great. Another Peruvian restaurant opened just a block from Raymi a few months ago. Food is great in both of them, but service and ambience in Raymi are by far better.

Unusual, creative cooking. Interesting combinations that reflect the indigenous Peruvian culture, as well as more recent immigrants from Japan. The maitre d' was unusually attentive and friendly. The tables in the rear room were very pleasantly separated from each other. The menu choices are varied, and both the fish eaters and the carnivores in our party were very happy with their choices. The food isn't like any other cuisine I am familiar with, which makes dining at Raymi an interesting, as well as delicious, experience.

Food: I would give very high marks indeed, for the exoticism of its taste and the daring presentation. Fresh take on the art of introducing ceviche, not overwhelming , but flirting with "jazzy". But most everything is reliably special and appropriately festive. An well oiled machine that should crank up very soon. Good luck!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 7/19/2012
This is the first on-line review I have ever written, so motivated was I by my visit to Raymi. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff numerous, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, the pisco cocktails imaginative and well-made, the food interesting and delicious. We loved our waitress, from Peru, and the management made a few well-timed stops at the table as well. They have hit the atmosphere just right -- sophisticated and high-end but warm and not at all snooty. We had 3 appetizers and 3 main courses for 3 of us, plus 2 desserts -- the right amount of food. We focused on the fish, and each dish was great. The Peruvian corncakes, a non-fish dish, were the best corn-based dish I have ever had. I suggest you go -- I'll be back.

Loved it as Nuella. I liked the ambiance and service better then. Food was still very good, but they are still working out the kinks for service. I would have given it 1-0 stars for service but the staff really did make an effort to rectify their wrongdoings. That being said dinner took 3 hrs, and drinks took 45mins because "the bar was backed up." Not all ordered dishes were brought and then they put everything on the bill when they said they would remove the late items. They did correct it though and apologized multiple times. Because the food was so delicious, I would go back to give it one more shot.

Went in their second week of business so we expected they would still be working through the kinks. We had a reservation but the front dining room was full, the back dining room closed so we had the option to sit in the bar or wait 25 min. Honestly, the bar is quite nice & doesn't feel like you are sitting in the bar so we probably wouldn't have noticed the difference if they hadn't said anything. The food was fantastic but the services was not yet close to where it should be. A lot of confusion on what course we were on - wrong plates brought out (still wet from washing), asked if we wanted dessert before our entrees were served, drinks taken away before they were empty. If they can resolve their front of house kinks, it will be grea

The food was ok, nothing memorable about the ceviches and anticuchos. Our waitress kept coming to our table again and again and explaining things about the food five times. STAY AWAY! A single star is too good for this venue. The management and overall service at this new venue should be avoided at all cost. Drinks sent to the wrong table, waiting too long for appetizers and entrees, and then the "free desserts" and "comp cocktails" ended up being charged to our bill. The manager blamed the waitress, but we knew it was hi fault and his floor managers fault - poor oversight leads to poor execution. I look forward to dining at the next restaurant to take over this space when Raymi fails!

I went with a seven friends for dinner on this Saturday at this new restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with modern facilities and warm and very well prepared food from the ceviche, tiraditos, kebabs (named Anticuchos in Peru, calamary crispy and main dishes especially their chili chicken, (aji de gallina) spectacular pork tenderloin (carapulcra ) the classic lomo saltado and the traditional Arroz con Pato, flavored with authentic Peruvian taste. We hope to return to enjoy the bar that has a very striking menu to prove it encourages. I see very well represented Peruvian food in this place where before was Nuela.
