The Raymi experience revolves around a central Ceviche Bar, offering fresh seafood spiked with indigenous spices and ingredients. Add to that a Pisco Bar, pouring select labels alongside 30 house-infused varieties of the fiery liqueur.

  • "Have been to Raymi several times. Took some friends recently so we could try lots of dishes and we all raved about the flavorful dishes and the attentive service. The ceviche tasting was tasty with lots of fresh flavors and unexpected additions of crunch and spice. Arroz con Mariscos was delicious as was a quinoa dish with chicken. Empanadas are not usually my thing but these were light and cheesy. There is a spacious bar with Pisco drinks and some communal dining tables for groups as well as a quieter dining section with tables. We will be back."

  • "The food is excellent at this restaurant. This was my second time dining here, the service was way better the first time. We waited almost 20 minutes before I got a busboy to find our waiter. Once he started taking orders things improved. We were a very large group but this did not affect the timing of our meals at all. The kitchen did a great job. I highly recommend the pork belly sliders, they were incredible. Overall I would recommend this place, the servers just need to step it up a notch."

  • "Fourth time here and it was absolutely perfect! The service was outstanding, food absolutely delicious and the cocktails specifically pisco sours were strong and soooo good! We were four and each ordered different dishes all were very very good. I especially loved the Arroz con Pato (duck dish) the duck was cooked perfectly andso tasty, loved the rice and sauce it was perfection. I'm gluten free and I loved the fact that all gf dishes were marked on the menu and the servers were very knowledgable and helpful. For dessert the only gf option was the rice pudding with quinoa granola which I thought would be boring but their version was very yummy! I'm in love!"

  • "Took out of town guests to Raymi tonight because I know their Peruvian cuisine is colorful, flavorful, and delicious. Indeed, the food was lovely. The pleasant surprise was how generous the management was in responding to a hiccup. Our food was delayed due to an issue in the kitchen which was at first frustrating, however management offered to comp our entire meal to make up for the inconvenience and this was such a grand gesture we left feeling well fed and well taken care of. I will certainly be back and can enthusiastically recommend Raymi."

  • "I had great spicy ceviche but the chicken dish was bland. I asked for all white meat but was given half and half and we waited over 45 minutes for our main dish and no one came to check on us. Everything else had a nice presentation but main courses except for vegetable dish were so so."

  • "After hearing great reviews post-restaurant week, I visited the restaurant and was impressed. My guest and I actually sat the bar and were greeted by a cool and helpful bartender (definitely looked around at the other tables and everyone else seemeed to be enjoying themselves as well). He explained how the menu was laid out/food served (e.g., tapas style), how Peruvian food is different from that of other cultures, and was great with drinks. All in all a top notch experience. Visit and enjoy."

  • "The dishes we ordered from the Restaurant Week menu are of very unique design, especially like the touch of Shiitake Mushroom on sweet corn cake in one of our opening small plate. The beef in the main dish is cook just right (not too cooked or too raw). As for desert, we got the Dolce de Leche, which is a bit too sweet for me. Overall very good food for Restaurant week, friendly servers, and good ambiance."

  • "went here during restaurant week and I would definitely go back. everything I ate tasted awesome. I had the mixto ceviche and my date had thw aji roto traditio; both were surprisingly delicious. it was the best ceviche I ever had. we also tried the hanger steak and the duck leg with rice. both were good although but the steak was better. for dessert, we had the arroz con leche amd the dulce de leche; very different but both very good. the service was also great."

  • "Went to the restuarant during restraunt week with 2 other friends. The restaurant was very cute with the Peruvian decor. The wait was a bit long but we eventually were seated within 45 minutes, even though we had reservations. The drink menu was not so great, since all of the mixed drinks were made from pisco. The food was fantastic i had: polenta corn cake with mushrooms and truffle oil for as an appetizer, the hanger steak for my entree and rice pudding for dessert. I was very pleased with all my choices. My one friend had the ceviche as an appetizer, rice shrimp/chicken dish as the entre and bread pudding for dessert. My other friend had butternut squash as an appetizer, salmon as the entre and the rice pudding. The food was very good."

  • "Came here with friends on a (busy) Friday night during restaurant week. The hostess was very nice and friendly and held our table for quite some time while we had drinks at the bar. Once seated we waited for about 20-25min to get water, drinks and order food. Supposedly there was a misunderstanding on which waiter was taking care of our table (!!!). Every single dish we had was VERY good, from apps to dessert... No complaints. A Peruvian in our party commented on how authentic the flavors were. We all want to go back!"

From the pisco-based cocktails to the creative and filling Peruvian dishes and amazing dessert, my taste buds were singing all evening. I didn't know what pisco was (Peruvian liquor made from white grapes), but it is now a favorite. It made for the BEST sangria I have ever had- not too sweet. My companion and I dined from the NYC Restaurant Week menu. Appetizers were a simple beet salad (fresh and light) and classic Corvina ceviche - also delish! Entrees of pork belly over potatoes and roasted chicken were so flavorful and perfect portions. Dessert was bread pudding with brown butter ice cream. Heaven! Great space with communal tables. Will return often!"

Wanting something a little different I took a chance and ordered the salmon, while my boyfriend ordered the lomo. Both dishes happen to be very good and portions happen to be perfect. Dessert was good as well. I will definitely return to the restaurant soon. Service is also a main reason I will return."

  • "This is my 3rd time at Raymi. I have never been disappointed. I love ceviche and about 2 years ago I tried pisco in Chile (a liquor found commonly in South America). Their pisco sours are as good as any I have had in South America. We had the Mixto ceviche, the hanger steak , porks shoulder sliders and the bread pudding. An added plus we arrived an hour ahead of our reservation and they were able to accommodate us. All were delicious! I will definitely be back."

  • "I tried Raymi for Restaurant Week since Peruvian was the only cuisine I haven't had of the ones listed on Restaurant Week's website and was very happy with the choice. I had the Corvina ceviche and roasted pork belly and both were incredible. There is an authentic feel to the interior and a view into the kitchen which is always nice. My only (small) complaint is that the waitstaff, although very friendly, were a little rushed not allowing me to get in any last questions/requests before taking off. Try this place for Restaurant Week or afterwards if you miss the event."

  • "I stumbled upon Raymi while looking for a Sunday nite Restaurant Week reservation, and I'm so pleased that I did. What a spectacular meal! We started with a perfectly composed quinoa/vegetable salad and deliciously sticky caramelized squash. Next was a crispy crackly duck leg, a fresh seafood paella in corn studded rice, and munchily addictive plaintain dips. We finished with a luscious dulce de leche pudding and a decadent bread pudding. Service was indifferent (for example, the server repeatedly put the dishes in front of the wrong guest throughout the meal), but with food this good, who cares? I can't wait to go back, and would make a special trip to the Flatiron district just to enjoy it."

  • "Let me start by saying that I'm Chilean with many Peruvian relatives who's had more than his share of restaurant and home-cooked Peruvian cuisine. The food is definitely re imagined for an audience that isn't looking for the home style 'meat and potatoes' of Peruvian food. Our ceviches were very tasty, though they were very toned down in the heat factor despite being the spiciest available on the menu. We had a table order of the skirt steak (churrasco) and fried yucca for our main. The portion was good and we certainly didn't leave hungry. I would not dream of paying menu price for it though, as more authentic Peruvian skirt steak and yucca frito can be had elsewhere for about 1/4 of the price. Staff and atmosphere were A+, good date spot."
