  • "Love Peruvian cuisine and this restaurant's take on it is very good. Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. We had a very early dinner so cannot speak accurately to the noise level since it is always quiet at 6pm in any Manhattan restaurant. The bar was filled with after work patrons but still quiet enough that conversation was easily heard between us at our table. This was the perfect spot for an early birthday dinner celebration. Loved the restroom downstairs. Felt more like a spa!"

  • "I've been to Raymi twice and both times I have enjoyed the food. Some portions are surprisingly small (the waiter even described the large plates as medium - not big). Don't go there expecting to take advantage of any specials - the yelp deal is for the bar/lounge area only, which is pretty much the next table over from the dining room. Same goes for the "ladies night". This was a bit of a bummer. It was also disappointing to hear that they were unable to make a drink that I had the last time I was there because they didn't have the "spicey ingredient" - it was just cayenne pepper! Overall - good food. Not the best I've had, but solid."

  • "This was my first time at Raymi. The waiter guided our threesome through cerviche with native cocktails laced with bitters. We then had the pig's ears, tails, ribs, and "sliders." All wonderful with interesting sauces. I asked for a native wine willing to sacrafice authenticity for a Chilean Cab. Instead, there was a Peruvian Syrah with just the right amount of acidity to battle the smokey, garlicly whole chicken and Peruvian Paella that came next. The service, food, and ambience is well worth the trek down to Madison Square."

The choice of "pulpo meloso" was amazing and "the CAUSA soft shell crab" was outstanding . I definitely would return to try more dishes and I wish recommend this restaurant highly enough. I was in New York for a meeting and this was the highlight of my culinary visit."

They were both incredible. We also had the seafood rice which was so flavorful. The service was great. Everyone was very accommodating. The live music was a plus! The service was very attentive and helpful as we had many questions regarding the menu. Also, my husband is Gluten Free and there was a nice selection to choose from."

Rare in NYC! Our waiter was very patient with us and explained every dish in detail and with love and so we had a great experience there! The Pisco sous are delicous and the food was a wonderful surprise for our palates - fresh ingredients,interestings spices and flavours! We definitely will come back!"

Do not expect big portions, it is not like you are eating at your mother-in-law's (wife is Peruvian) The service was pretty decent and the personnel was friendly and accommodating! We will definitely come back. We did find out they have a life music show in a private room once a month, it is what Peruvians called "Peña" and if you have ever been in one you know what I'm talking about. It's fun!"

  • "I had been to this restaurant before and liked it, but on my latest visit, the waiter got our order wrong, even though we had specifically pointed to the item we wanted on the menu and indicated we were sharing 3 small plates. A much more expensive item than what we had ordered arrived. The restaurant did fix the mistake when the bill came, but the service was off all night and the food only so-so. Not sure I'd go back."

  • "Really enjoyed our dinner here this week. Tried the ceviche/tiradito sampler of four - all good. Shared the pollo a la brassa with my friend, and it was delicious. Complimented nicely by the pisco sours with passion fruit juice. No room for dessert, since everything was so tasty, but we'll definitely be back. The service couldn't have been more perfect. Very friendly helpful servers, and the maitre d' spent some time with us as well discussing Peruvian cuisine. All in all, a very positive dining experience."

  • "Have been to Raymi several times. Took some friends recently so we could try lots of dishes and we all raved about the flavorful dishes and the attentive service. The ceviche tasting was tasty with lots of fresh flavors and unexpected additions of crunch and spice. Arroz con Mariscos was delicious as was a quinoa dish with chicken. Empanadas are not usually my thing but these were light and cheesy. There is a spacious bar with Pisco drinks and some communal dining tables for groups as well as a quieter dining section with tables. We will be back."

  • "The food is excellent at this restaurant. This was my second time dining here, the service was way better the first time. We waited almost 20 minutes before I got a busboy to find our waiter. Once he started taking orders things improved. We were a very large group but this did not affect the timing of our meals at all. The kitchen did a great job. I highly recommend the pork belly sliders, they were incredible. Overall I would recommend this place, the servers just need to step it up a notch."

  • "Fourth time here and it was absolutely perfect! The service was outstanding, food absolutely delicious and the cocktails specifically pisco sours were strong and soooo good! We were four and each ordered different dishes all were very very good. I especially loved the Arroz con Pato (duck dish) the duck was cooked perfectly andso tasty, loved the rice and sauce it was perfection. I'm gluten free and I loved the fact that all gf dishes were marked on the menu and the servers were very knowledgable and helpful. For dessert the only gf option was the rice pudding with quinoa granola which I thought would be boring but their version was very yummy! I'm in love!"
