  • "As a Peruvian, I can say that Raymi is an authentic restaurant. The food was really good and the pisco sours were amazing. It's a great place for groups or for a romantic night. Foodies, try this place."

  • "I love this restaurant. This is a gem in the city. We come to eat either once or twice a week. Service is Excellent. Sometimes it gets really busy but their staff is always making sure we leave happy. We have been there multiple times."

  • "we had a great experience at Raymi, the server was very attentive and accommodating--when we saw that the one vegetarian plate we saw on the online menu wasn't available, he made sure the chef put together vegetarian dishes for us. We also had a lychee pisco that went perfectly with the dishes such as the corncake w mushrooms and tostones and quinoa salad."

  • "Service was amazing. Waiters and hostess made us feel at home with their jokes and friendliness. Food was good. All the reviews made a big deal about their ceviche and I thought it was just ok. Small portion and very limited fish on it. Taste was ok, nothing out of this world. The arroz con Pato was awesome. First time trying duck and I can't complaint it tastes like "chicken". Drinks were also on point."

  • "Raymi it's a great combination of outstanding food, great service and a perfect Manhattan location. It's menu has a great variety of foods with healthy choices like their amazing ceviche and traditional Peruvian dishes like lomo saltado. During my visit I started with their just perfect and yummy anticucho a mixed ceviches and we also had some if their cheese and corn empanadas. Follow with a family style fish that came with a side if rice. I don't usually eat rice this was just perfection. But to finish it all we had the bread pudding. I had never taste a better dessert the warm bread with the cold of the butter ice cream and the nuts and raisins so so good!!! One of my favorite places in New York"

  • "It was our first Peruvian dining experience and it was wonderful. The food, service and decor made it a great night out. Save room for the bread pudding with brown butter ice cream dessert."

  • "I cannot say enough about our waiter Barney who was attentive, friendly and informative. Four of us shared a number of small plates and table dishes family style. My only criticism is the size of some of the portions - the plates of ceviche were miniscule: the 4 plate sampler for $30 had about 1 oz of fish on each plate! The flavors were great, but they really need to revisit the serving size. Similarly the beet salad ($12) tasted wonderful, but had no more than 1 small beet on the plate. Our favorite dish was the chicharron sliders with pulpo and crispy duck close behind. For dessert bread pudding won out over doughnuts. Don't miss the pisco drinks: sour or punch (if you like pineapple)."

  • "This is the 3rd time we have been to Raymi and each time the food has been excellent. We have not had a dish that we didn't thoroughly enjoy. The menu changes and is most creative. We will keep coming back as often as we can."

  • "This was our first time at Raymi and it will certainly not be our last. We thorough enjoyed ourselves! The food was amazing and the wait staff was more than attentive. There were so many wonderful things listed in the menu that it was difficult to limit ourselves on what to order. We had the chef's special fish dish in an amazing butter sauce with jasmine rice. It was love at first bite! The skirt steak with chimmichurri sauce was cooked to perfection and the quinoa chaufa was delectable. We can't wait to go back with more of our friends so that we can try more things, including the ceviche bar items. Thank you, Raymi, for an amazing dining experience."

  • "The food is some of the best I have had in a long time. Each dish I had was a wonderful blend of taste and texture, creating a level of sensation that you always hope food can bring. In this case the team at Raymi is also a perfect complement to the food making Raymi a must return. Perfect evening."

  • "Love Peruvian cuisine and this restaurant's take on it is very good. Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. We had a very early dinner so cannot speak accurately to the noise level since it is always quiet at 6pm in any Manhattan restaurant. The bar was filled with after work patrons but still quiet enough that conversation was easily heard between us at our table. This was the perfect spot for an early birthday dinner celebration. Loved the restroom downstairs. Felt more like a spa!"

  • "It was my daughter's Birthday & they were GREAT! The food was very good as well as the service. They were extremely friendly."

  • "I've been to Raymi twice and both times I have enjoyed the food. Some portions are surprisingly small (the waiter even described the large plates as medium - not big). Don't go there expecting to take advantage of any specials - the yelp deal is for the bar/lounge area only, which is pretty much the next table over from the dining room. Same goes for the "ladies night". This was a bit of a bummer. It was also disappointing to hear that they were unable to make a drink that I had the last time I was there because they didn't have the "spicey ingredient" - it was just cayenne pepper! Overall - good food. Not the best I've had, but solid."

  • "Maître 'd very friendly. I was male solo diner. Maître 'd sat by me to explain menu items and returned several to ask if dinner was to my satisfaction. Food was delicious. I shall return soon."

  • "The food is not as good as it used to be, still ok but the level is definitely lower. Finally when we came a band was playing south American music very loud, it was impossible to speak without yelling. So all in all our last visit at Raymi was a big disappointment."
    Dined on 6/12/2014
  • "If they have the pisco punch available definitely go for it - perfect drink. Really good service and great food, my only complaint was we asked for steak medium and it was much closer to rare. Otherwise it was a great experience & I'll be returning!"

  • "This was my first time at Raymi. The waiter guided our threesome through cerviche with native cocktails laced with bitters. We then had the pig's ears, tails, ribs, and "sliders." All wonderful with interesting sauces. I asked for a native wine willing to sacrafice authenticity for a Chilean Cab. Instead, there was a Peruvian Syrah with just the right amount of acidity to battle the smokey, garlicly whole chicken and Peruvian Paella that came next. The service, food, and ambience is well worth the trek down to Madison Square."

  • "Food and service are all absolutely exquisite. Wait staff pleasant and courteous, explain menu selections well, are accommodating to special requests/needs. The entertainment the night we were there was top-notch. Santina, the manager, is a pro who knows what she's doing....and it shows."

  • "A good friend who is an amazing cook recommended Raymi to me. I went there on a date and had a great experience. The food was fantastic. We tried two different ceviche's. They were both incredible. We also had the seafood rice which was so flavorful. The service was great. Everyone was very accommodating. I have recommended it to many friends already and I will definitely be back."

  • "We were looking for a top notch Latin American restaurant and we certainly found one in Raymi. A delicious ceviche was followed by an excellent arroz con pato. The pisco sours were to die for and service that couldn't be faulted. All in all a most enjoyable Latin dining experience in New York. "

  • "This is an usual place for Manhattan, clean, friendly, cheap, high quality food, smiling staff and a host who remembers faces and is genuinely interested in his guests. We have been there twice in a month and we plan to return."

  • "If I have chance I will bring my friends go back to your restaurant again. All food was looking very good and teast good too. It is match the concept of Chinese traditional description for a good food, that is "色,香,味,美“, (dish) color good, smell good, teast good and delicious food. "

  • "We came to Raymi for a special dinner with the family. We sampled many of the menu items. I had the duck over cilantro rice. I found it to be a bit salty, but overall the food was very good. The live music was a plus! The service was very attentive and helpful as we had many questions regarding the menu. Also, my husband is Gluten Free and there was a nice selection to choose from."

  • "Absolutely love! Unique menu and drinks. This was my 2nd time dining there since first coming for restaurant week. I had the suckling pig which was accompanied with Tamale and it was delicious. The atmosphere here is great, it's lively but not too loud, very sexy. The service is outstanding, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. "

  • "The service was excellent and by far the best peruvian food I've had in NY. The manager Sigi Was very nice and gave us a tour of the restaruant. Had the Maracuya pisco sour which was really good. Will visit again soon. "

  • "I had been to this restaurant before and liked it, but on my latest visit, the waiter got our order wrong, even though we had specifically pointed to the item we wanted on the menu and indicated we were sharing 3 small plates. A much more expensive item than what we had ordered arrived. The restaurant did fix the mistake when the bill came, but the service was off all night and the food only so-so. Not sure I'd go back."

  • "Really enjoyed our dinner here this week. Tried the ceviche/tiradito sampler of four - all good. Shared the pollo a la brassa with my friend, and it was delicious. Complimented nicely by the pisco sours with passion fruit juice. No room for dessert, since everything was so tasty, but we'll definitely be back. The service couldn't have been more perfect. Very friendly helpful servers, and the maitre d' spent some time with us as well discussing Peruvian cuisine. All in all, a very positive dining experience."

  • "Food is really good! Do not expect big portions, it is not like you are eating at your mother-in-law's (wife is Peruvian) The service was pretty decent and the personnel was friendly and accommodating! We will definitely come back. We did find out they have a life music show in a private room once a month, it is what Peruvians called "Peña" and if you have ever been in one you know what I'm talking about. It's fun!"

  • "Great Peruvian food w a twist. I've dined at many Peruvian restaurants and this was a great mix of classic cuisine with a little extra thrown in. Portions were not huge, but instead fresh and full of great flavor. A really good meal. "
