  • "While this restaurant was written up as gluten free and vegetarian, they had no vegetarian dishes. I am also soy and dairy free, three different waiters were unable to help me with choices until we decided to leave. Then the main waiter came by to tell me they can prepare anything as gluten, dairy and soy free. Why did it take that to get the help I needed? The food was only okay, I wouldn't return. Portion size was small while prices are not inexpensive. Just not the experience I expected."

  • "The restaurant ambiance is great, I love the decorations. The food is pretty innovative and creative. Personally, the flavors feel too juxtaposed (vs blended) for me. For example, the octopus tasted like tiger prawn (Chinese) with salsa on the side (Latin). I like where the restaurant is headed and may consider checking back in a few months to see how the menu changes"

  • "Raymi is awesome.....their jalea starter dish is to die for which consist of fried calamari shrimps fish and yuca fries with a side of a garlic aioli.....words cant describe how great was the skirt steak, breading pudding dessert and the mojadita drinks with a splash of passion fruit juice."

  • "The tiradito was very good, as well as the dessert with Lucuma and chocolate, on the other hand the salmon was not of good quality."

  • "This restaurant serves great Peruvian Food and especially the fish dishes are very good. The portions are a little small but the price / value is ok. It can be noisy and the service is sometime a little slow. But the customer service and the follow up when you have a problem is great! The wine list could be bigger with the selection in white and red wine. Overall very good restaurant."

  • "Very nice evening in all respects. Restaurant manager made a point to greet us, provided an overview of Peruvian food and the menu offerings, and made great recommendations. He also checked back in with us during the meal. Delicious food. Service was also excellent- water glasses were frequently refilled, courses were brought out in a timely way and plates cleared efficiently. We were really too full to tackle desserts that were part of the "Restaurant Week" promotion; our waitress suggested substituting coffee or tea for both of us instead of one of the desserts (no extra charge) which ended the meal on a high note, as well. Special, unique food; great service; a pleasurable evening. Highly recommended in the Chelsea/Flatiron area of NYC."

  • "We dined here during Restaurant Week. Our group of 4 had a wonderful time and we loved all of the dishes we ordered. The appetizers, in particular, were amazing, as was the bread pudding dessert. Our waiter, Ronnie or Rodney, was excellent, recommending dishes, wine, etc. We will be back and I have already recommended Raymi to friends. One really nice touch...for Restaurant Week the entire regular menu is available to choose from. Very unusual and very much appreciated!"

  • "Fun, inventive and fresh interpretations of Peruvian classics. Best Pisco sours we've ever tried. Service was flawless."

  • "We went there for restaurant week but were utterly disappointed by how small the portions were. We ordered the mixtos cerviches and charred octopus for appetizers. there's hardly any seafood in the mixtos and 3 small tentacles in the octopus. Will not return to this place nor recommend to others. We presented Get Free Pisco Sour coupon to the bartender but still got charged after we mentioned it to various parties. Service was real slow. Not a great dining experience at all."

  • "A visit to Raymi is always a delight. Many new taste experiences, especially among the ceviches which expand the art of eating raw fish to levels way beyond sushi. As someone with allergies I find Raymi's menu especially welcoming. All the many choices, including vegetarian- friendly ones, are clearly described. Flavors pop in your mouth in unexpected combinations."

  • "I had dinner with two girlfriends at Raymi. One of them is allergic to glutton and ordered the "glutton free" entree. When the entree arrived the calamari was not glutton free and the batter was all over the entire dish. The staff was very reluctant to take it back and redo the dish. The manager came over and was very nice and offered to redo the dish, however, the waitress had the nerve to say "you need to let us know that you need glutton free." I did not like that attitude at all."

  • "I came here for Restaurant Week, and they offer their regular menu (one small plate/ceviche, one large plate, and dessert), which was the reason I made the reservation. The three courses that my girlfriend and I had were delicious, especially the bread pudding for dessert! We would come back to this restaurant for sure and recommend it! Our waiter was also very attentive and courteous, often stopping by to check if we were enjoying our meal."

  • "Came here for restaurant week and enjoyed it very much. Cocktail menu was amazing- highly suggest it. Group of 4 women and everyone was very happy with their menu selections. The desserts were delish- so make sure you make room for them. Waitress was Paola and she was very helpful in suggesting different dishes."

  • "Peruvian food with Chinese and Japanese influence - if you are searching for something different - this is worth trying. Space is terrific, hip and colorful. So many choice of seating - sidewalk tables, dining room, bar and high tops, plus private rooms and areas."

  • "We had a lovely dinner the other night at Reymi. All of us had spent time in Peru and were consistently impressed by the quality of the food, not to mention the excellent Pisco Sours. Service was fine, plating elegant and timing reasonable for a busy evening."

  • "Went there on a Wednesday night to take advantage of restaurant week. Got there around 6:45, and they seated us pretty quickly on the patio area. The waiter is very pleasant, but the service was slow, since he was the only server that was taking order for the patio area (which is not big, only 7 tables). For a Wednesday, it seems like a pretty hopping place. The server keeps on apologizing and letting us know food is coming out - which we didn't get serve our main meal until 8:45. Bar service was fast though... If that make up for anything..."

  • "Had dinner with a friend here for restaurant week and they did not cheapen the food experience. The whole menu is at your fingertips for restaurant week and it was amazing. The service was hospitable and charming. My friend is a vegetarian and they altered her dish for her (I have been to other restaurants that don't do that). Will def go back."

  • "We had excellent service, even a small Spanish lesson! Our server was exceptional. We very much enjoyed our dinner, delicious and a very good introduction to Peruvian cuisine. The music was almost too load, it may have been live music, I couldn't see. Thank you for a great dinner, I have already recommended to friends."

  • "This restaurant is a fabulous addition to the Latin American cooking in New York. The food is splendid, setting fabulous, wait staff and management are wonderful, and try to go on a night when they have live music. The Saxophone Criollo music when we were there on Sunday was a wonderful addition to our evening."

  • "We very much enjoyed our dinner at Raymi. We spent time in Peru last summer and the food at this restaurant was like being right back there. The pisco sours were so tasty. The ceviche was perfect! I had the salmon, which was delicious with a crunchy, crispy skin, and my boyfriend had the classic lomo saltado, which was awesome. The food and drinks were perfect. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and the service was fantastic. Go to Raymi!"

  • "Service was nice and gracious. Food was okay but overpriced for the quantity and quality. I don't think I am coming back but that's only because this restaurant is further away and I do have less expensive options in my area."

  • "I came here with a party of 8 for a nice birthday dinner. For appetizer I had the salmon ceviche and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Main course I had the arroz con pato (rice and duck leg) OMG it was soooo wonderful with a nice crispy skin! Dessert I had the bread pudding....omg my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I definitely recommend this place. The wait staff was very attentive the noise level wasn't too loud except when me and my party had a good laugh, we got a little loud. The bathrooms downstairs are so cute. Raymi I give you 4 stars and you will be seeing me again!! I have a lot of other dishes to try!"

  • "I am Peruvian, so I am generally pretty critical of Peruvian restaurants but this place was absolutely delicious. The food is authentic but with a refined touch. I strongly suggest the pisco sour if you have to wait at the bar for your group to arrive (as I did). The place is well-decorated, not too loud and not too crowded either. Delicious appetizers we tried - anticuchos (amazing), ceviche mixto, causa limeña (the potato puree was so soft and the salmon/octopus mix was delicious), jalea mixta. For entrees - the lomo salt ado was unreal! Chaufa and arroz con pollo also delicious. Dessert portions are small (suspiro limeño) but worth it. We came for restaurant week, so still found it affordable. I definitely want to come back!"

  • "We really enjoyed our dinner at Raymi! We started with drinks at the bar- Pisco Sour and Pisco Punch! both delicious! We had dinner in the main dining room- the decor is a bit odd. We both had ceviche, excellent! We had the Lomo Saltado and the Marisco Mixto. Also very good! The desert was bread pudding and a desert with dulce de leche- very good. The service was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Would go back."

  • "We went to Raymi for Restaurant Week, and I loved that we weren't treated like pariahs because of that. There was no special RW menu, but rather, you got to choose from the main menu. The food was good, but here's where they lost points: 1) With the live band, you could barely hear yourself think. 2) We were sat at a table near the hostess stand, so we constantly had people resting their elbows on our table while we were eating. 3) THE STAIRCASE TO THE BATHROOM! Beware. It is so slick. Completely sober, I tumbled down, scraping my knees to where they bled and stained my pants. Two seconds after I fell, another woman fell! The hostess came down to see if we were OK, but by her tone, it appeared that she was just trying to avoid a lawsuit."

  • "We tried Raymi for the first time last week. Everything was really tasty, but the mixto ceviche, the arroz con pato and the brioche bread pudding were all standouts. The only downside was that they were celebrating Peruvian Independence Day with live Afro-Caribbean music that was far too loud. We'll eat there again, but perhaps at a less festive time."
