A word from Rawhide Steakhouse at Wild Horse Pass
Over the years, Rawhide has earned an award-winning reputation as Arizona's original family steakhouse. The menu celebrates the spirit and hospitality of its Western roots through traditional cooking and true hungry-cowboy portions.

Our Executive chef introduced a new menu bringing back some Rawhide favorites such as: The Lone Cowboy (1lb T-Bone Steak), BBQ Baby Back Ribs, The Gunslinger (Filet Mignon) and finger licking BBQ Combos. He is even serving Rattlesnake & Rocky Mountain Oysters as a starter.

Dinner is served to live music and the open invitation to tap your toes or get up and dance. Satisfy your taste for the west at Rawhide Steakhouse, where Yipee-Kiyay never tasted so gourmet.

Diner Reviews
  • "A Cowboy Band sang Happy Birthday to my son. What more could a 3 year old little boy want? There's room to dance and the food is very good."

  • "Terribly disappointed in the rattlesnake " mini nuggets." For $24 it was disappointing to receive miniscule pieces of rattlesnake highly covered with breading. The prime rib was very good, though."

  • "We went here because we were staying at the nearby Sheraton. The food was good, not great. My steak was a little overcooked, but the rest of our group was happy with theirs. The sides were unremarkable. The decor was somewhat western, but I was surprised to see that the interior was just one very large room with a LOT of tables. No interior walls, separation, etc. felt odd and not "western-feeling". By far the best part of our meal was the roving magician that came to our table. He was outstanding and the kids loved him! This would be a good restaurant for a large family/group, as the setup enabled them to accommodate many large parties at a time."

  • "$5.00 to park with the assurance of getting the money back if you eat in the restaurant. Not true if you eat any thing that is a special price. Prices in rawhide for food items at the outdoor restaurants are rediculously high."

  • "We brought our snowbird friends out for dinner. Everyone loved the steak and the music . Despite the bad weather we all strolled through the town and enjoyed ourselves. My friends from Minnesota can't wait to do it again next year!"

  • "Yall didmt turn in my reservation we had to wait for a table"

  • "The place is a little dark, especially at night, but it goes with the western theme. A magician approached our table and performed a few tricks while we waited for dinner, which was very entertaining."

  • "SO much fun. Took the family including kids and grandparents. All loved it.the food was great and music and dancing to the country band was awesome fun. Very relaxed atmosphere. ..not too loud either."

  • "We made a quick visit to Rawhide for visiting guests from Michigan. It had been years since we have been to the town or restaurant. The food was great - service was very attentive - the town was a bit disappointing. Many of the shops were closed and there was not many of the characters or gunfights in the street. Overall - food good - town needs some added items."

  • "Members of my party were very pleased with the steaks at your reasonable prices. However, your barbeque sauce for the ribs had Tabasco or something with a terrible bite. Fortunately, I ordered the sauce on the side. If, not, I could not have eaten the ribs he muffins were delicious.."

  • "Reminded me of my first visit to Phoenix in 1980 attending Rawhide steakhouse....that's now in the middle of the city and lost its charm. Really enjoyed the isolation of the site and the prime rib was excellent. Good place to bring out of town company."

  • "Both my husband and I had prime rib. My husband ordered medium well, I ordered medium. His entrée was undercooked and was more suited to medium, mine was overcooked. My husband returned his and when the plate came back out, the Texas toast was soggy from au jus. The corn was tough. There was no corn bread. Our waiter remarked how he wasn't ready for the dinner crowd. He had at least two tables and was getting a table of 30 as we were finishing up. That pretty much signaled that we were not getting any further service. All in all, I was not impressed."

  • "I haven't been to the new Rawhide since they had moved from Scottsdale to Chandler. My son was celebrating his 25th Birthday and we decided to go as a family to the town and for dinner. I really enjoy the town and the shops but it is definately a Tourist Attraction with the prices to match. The Food was Good, The Service was Decent and the Music was fun if you enjoy Old Country. My main problem was the dining room isn't very handicapped friendly as I use an electric chair and the tables are very close together so you are very close back to back to the table behind you and when you add the servers trying to walk inbetween there is absolutely no room. All in all a good night though. If you go plan on spending $$$$."

  • "We had our reservation since Nov 2013 for Feb 2014. I would not recommend this place. Please find somewhere else. The food was okay and overpriced. Service was terrible. I blame the management and especially Karen for not having enough servers for this place. Very sad."

  • "This was not first time here. I have been to Rawhide many times and it is always wonderful. The staff is great! My husband and I were married here 15 years ago this month and we thought it would be great to come back and bring our two young kids to enjoy an Arizona gem. To enjoy the attractions, you will need either tickets ($5 each) or a wristband ($15 per person and it is unlimited times). I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun afternoon or evening out with family and friends! The food is great and the fried Rattlesnake is a must try!"

  • "we were still hungry when we left the restaurant ,it was the most unsatisfying anniversary dinner ever(mrs, mcafee)!!! What is a cowboy meal without beans ? ever heard of a baked potato? the iceberg salad was weak thin steaks and I could have used a man sized piece of corn and some bread not one tiny piece of over garlic toast the tables and tableware were poor(black marks on our table) way over hyped and overpriced Russell and Connie good service and appetizers"

  • "We love this place. It is a little high priced for families but starting mid January they will have a chicken dinner for less that $5. The steaks and prime rib very yummy, good music to dine by. Reminds me of home in Montana"

  • "My friend and I recently went to Rawhide for dinner because they had heard good things and wanted to try it out. The cocktails were mixed properly and tasted great. My friend ordered a steak Rare(blue) as in cooked as little as the chef was willing to cook it. The steak was brought out too cooked to be called rare, let alone very rare. We politely asked the server for his opinion on weather or not it was considered rare. The waiter agreed that it was overcooked and took the steak back. They brought out another steak (which mysteriously looked like the exact same steak with the exact same shape and cut in the middle) slightly more cooked. We wouldn't touch the steak and it wasn't taken off of the bill. We won't be going back."

  • "We dined on Saturday night following Thanksgiving. There was a very talented musician playing guitar and singing which made it a little loud, but we enjoyed watching the younger children dance on the dance floor. The highlight, though, was the magician that stopped at our table for about 10 minutes of awesome tricks. I'd go back again when we have more time to spend at Rawhide itself."

  • "I was with my husband, 1 year old daughter and a friend. We came for a stress free Thanksgiving and spent a couple if hours touring the town. The town was ok but if you didn't want to shop there want much to do. We had reservations for 5:15 and when we got their we were told it would be at least 30 mins past that. They were seating walk ins before reservations and there was no one managing the front of house. We witnessed dozens of people give up and leave. I don't see why the out door area could not have been opened up. We finally went rouge and just grabbed a table in the bar area. We ordered the thanksgiving meal and it was barely warm and flavorless. The turkey tasted like that fake pressed stuff. All in all it was disappointing ."
    Dined on 11/28/2013
  • "Your food was way over priced for the quality and for families with children. The steak tasted good, but charred on the outside. Not enough rattle snake meat for the price and more breading than meat. Our server was unfriendly and slow."
    Dined on 11/29/2013
  • "I heard there would be around 1,200 guests on Thanksgiving, dining throughout the day. The setting (Western), the prices and the service were great. The live music was too loud--could barely carry on conversations from across the table. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, patient, etc.--everything a waiter should be, especially on a busy day with families and groups. We had to wait awhile though between receiving our checks and having them picked up and taken care of. But overall we had a great time."

  • "Love it, Love it! A great Thanksgiving event for my family of three. We will be back again next Thanksgiving. We had reservations, which is a must. The food was very food, but a little pricey. Our waitress was not the best, but understandable for a busy holiday. The band music was good for the atmosphere . It was awesome. I am so thankful that The Rawhide Steakhouse was there for us on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you again!"

  • "We went to the Rawhide for their Thanksgiving menu. The menu was great the food a "B-". Our reservations were for 5:45 and our waiter told us we were the last couple to get turkey. We arrived early and were made to stand in a huge line with people, who did not have reservations. When we got to the front, we were checked off the resevation list. (seated at 6:15, food served 7:10) People, told to stand in line ,were then told they were full when they got to the front. Apology none. The hostess staff was not at all consistent, I had to stand in line 50 minutes but other people walked behind the desk, gave their name, were checked off and seated ahead of me. The live entertainment was nice. Waiter was a nice guy but had no real skiills."

  • "Very casual atmosphere - pleasant - music with a country flair, danceable. Thanksgiving night... not such a good idea. We've done this several years. Unfortunately with lessening satisfaction. Front desk/reception - disorganized. Servers did their best (and nicely). The food ranged from ghastly to delicious in one meal. Truly, the bright spots were the pleasant entertainment and the hard-working service staff."

  • "Food was great as always but we had to flag down our waiter when we needed something. Too many tables to 1 waiter was the problem."
    Dined on 11/28/2013
  • "We have eaten here several times in the past; however this is the first experience with poor tasting food. Ribs were chewy and overcooked with bottled barbeque sauce. Chicken had no flavor. The kids steaks were great. French fries wilted. We caught them during bridge between lunch and dinner. I think they cater more to tourists now so food flavor isn't a priority? There are many steak houses within a five mile radius and they need to improve their quality of food."

  • "Food is over priced and of poor quality. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was only 20% full. Will never return. Rawhide is nice to visit but I recommend eating elsewhere."
