  • "We ate at Ravine on a trip two years ago and remembered it so fondly we had to return. It did not disappoint. Great cooking in that kitchen and a nice scene inside, or on the patio, or at the bar, all overlooking the winery. Nice bottle of Reisling with our dinner of foie gras, hen and rib eye. All delish."

  • "Amazing experience as always! The restaurant keeps changing, ex padding and improving every time we are there, I highly recommend it! It is the crown jewel of Niagara wineries."

  • "My partner and I took a couple from Seattle, WA to Ravine to experience Niagara on the Lake vineyard dining at its best. They have been in the high end food business for a combined 60 plus years so it was important to us they have a good and memorable evening. Our table, overlooking the vineyard, was perfect. Overall we had a very good meal.We had loin of lamb which was excellent. The noise level is very high inside the dining room so bear that in mind perhaps if planning a romantic dinner"

  • "We've been to Ravine Vineyard restaurant multiple times. This time the service was horrible. Our waitress disappeared multiple times and never came by to ask how things were or even to collect our bill. Even though there was a wedding reception going on we would have thought that the service still should have been as previous visits. We will consider our next trip."

  • "I would return to your restaurant in the future but not take a group with me. The service was very slow. Food quality was great! There was even a wedding reception scheduled for that Friday we were there. I would consider the venue for any special ocassion."

  • "Eight of us enjoyed a delicious lunch at Ravine; we had everything from the charcuterie plate to wood-oven pizza to burgers to pasta. Everything was amazing and fresh. It is definitely expensive at Ravine, especially for lunch, but the quality is outstanding."

  • "We enjoyed the ambiance, wish we could have enjoyed the sound of the outdoor music inside. The cornish hen was awesome accompanied by the spaetzle, and the trout looked amazing, loved the chocolate dessert offerings great for sharing"

  • "My wife and I decided to go here for dinner based on a great experience we had having lunch here a few months ago (Icewine Festival). Unfortunately, our dinner did not meet our expectations. The asparagus soup was delicious, however, our appetizers were disappointing. I had the seared scallop with ravioli. It was good, yet the 1 scallop and 1 ravioli was much too small a serving, even for an appetizer. My wife had the asparagus salad which looked great, but tasted bland and lacked flavour. She typically loves anything topped with soft poached eggs, but the cold temperature of the duck egg in this salad was unappetizing. Sadly, our main course didn't fare any better. The sirloin and trout we had simply lacked proper seasoning."

  • "Just had an appetizer this time and I wasn't disappointed. It hit- the-spot and was delicious too. Capped it off with a nice glass of chilled white wine and I was ready to enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the heart of Niagara."

  • "we loved everything about our anniversary dinner. Live music, beautiful view. Friendly, knowledgeable waiter. And of course, the meal! We had a couple of draft beers, Charcuterie, oysters, lamb and trout, angel food cake and cheese plate, ice wine, a bottle of merlot reserve. Top notch!!"

  • "Very good use of locally grown ingredients. Asparagus pasta was excellent!"

  • "The view just amazing! For sure to ask to seat at the patio or even outside, right beside the vinyard. The foods was great & wine is good. Service is a little slow but maybe because they were busy when I dined."

  • "Excellent produce prepared in a delicate manner. Overlooking the winery vineyards. Recommend the charcuterie platter."

  • "I visited last week for a lunch out with a girlfriend. We were so impressed with the service, ambiance, and quality of food. We each tried three different wines and loved them all. The Charcuterie board is a must have! Barb was a server and she was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful. The views out to the vineyards along with the interior decor are perfect together. I will definitely be returning, and recommending this restaurant to friends and family. wether it's a special occasion, or a casual lunch out, I think Ravine nailed it."

  • "This is a charming vineyard restaurant with magnificent vistas and superb food. The pre-lunch wine tasting in the old estate home was festive, informative and a perfect start to a long leisurely exquisite meal. Wonderful fresh ingredients (never had such fresh salads) and the fish perfectly seared--and take home the lovely wood-fired sourdough bread along with an estate wine or two!"

  • "We had been to earlier versions of the Ravine Restaurant and found it OK. YOU REALLY NEED TO TRY IT AGAIN. The smallish building that housed the restaurant has been more than doubled. The food has definitely gone upscale and they have an outdoor pizza over. There is a special pizza and a Margarita Pizza is available all the time. We had the Margarita and loved it. Started with 6 beautiful oysters, then we shared the pizza and a charcuterie plate. They were all excellent. There were may other items on the menu to try. There were quite a few kids there and there were soccer balls on the back lawn for them to play with. Staff are friendly and service is prompt but not rushed. Get here before the winter so you can eat outside!"

  • "Our experience at Ravine was a nice evening out for a special occasion. While our overall experience was positive the evening wasn't without challenges. The A/C wasn't working optimally, and we were offered a table out of the sun, but without the view that drew us there initially. The divers were ok but nothing out of the ordinary. The portions were moderate but not overly filling. We did not have the opportunity to try the pizza, but the outdoor wood oven looked very impressive and the product that we saw looked very appealing. Since we are not wine drinkers we can't comment specifically, but the grounds and the Vinyard looked lovely and their wine list seemed extensive."

  • "Our experience was wonderful. I am 93, live in a residence, get frozen meals too often and don't like crowds or noise. We had a window seat and the view was gorgeous. Noise level was low and we were able to carry on a conversation without shouting. Tara, our little hostess, was beautiful. She explained everything extremely well, and the little special treatment she gave us was very special. This was the first time any of us had come here, and it was my daughter in laws birthday celebration, and we will tell everyone what a beautiful place Ravine is. We had food not had before and the treats were delicious. The chef or chefs were artists as well and it just added the crowning touches to our meal. Thank you"

  • "No one visiting Niagara-on-the-lake should miss the dining experience at The Ravine. The food, service, and ambience was outstanding. Small menu but excellent choices. Enjoyed the meal with a bottle of red wine "Sand and Gravel" I will be back again - love the area and dining experience at the Ravine. Many thanks."

  • "What a wonderful meal. And they were so attentive to my dietary needs. I am gluten intolerant. They were well versed in gluten free options on the menu and actually read my note when I booked through open table that I am gluten intolerant. We will return."

  • "Although we had a reservation, we were seated on the upper level under a leaking air conditioner unit. They didn't know this??? We had no water until half way thru our meal. The charcuterie tray was brought without bread. We had to ask for plates The marguerita pizza had maybe 5 small basil leaves. The restaurant was busy but not full. Very disappointed in the service. Food okay but nothing special. Very noisy. (And wet!). Should have sat outside."

  • "Had a great lunch here on our way out of town. The charcuterie plate and buttermilk chicken with white bean salad was amazing. The staff were great and the vineyard was beautiful. Definitely worth the stop!"

  • "Lovely setting. Was disappointed the little store and wine tasting wasn't open - must read the info more carefully. The asparagus soup was a bit bland but the smoked salmon more than made up for it. I was the designated driver so i really appreciated the server giving me just a drop of each wine ordered so that I could taste it.. Wonderful! No room for dessert unfortunately."

  • "Food was decent - definitely try the fish as opposed to the pastas. Since our table wasn't ready in time they gave us a complimentary wine tasting package, and we received another wine package with our dinner. Great scenery of the vineyards from our table."

  • "We were there for group dinner Sat. and ladies' lunch Tuesday and the food was consistently delicious both times. Nice patio overlooking NOTL and Lake Ontario."

  • "Malpeque oysters as a starter, garden salad with the freshest greens & delicious dressing for the appetizer, and steelhead trout for the main - all prepared expertly and served at the right temperature. The restaurant is quite small on the interior but has a large outdoor serving patio for good weather - all which look out on the vineyard. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Mid -range prices for that area. Great service. Range of menu selections to please everyone served in an informal atmosphere. It was busy on the Sunday we were there so we would recommend reservations."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • " the patio adjacent to reception would have been fine earlier, however by the time we arrived it was very cool outside, and because the surrounding walls are merely plastic that can be pulled up/around, it was quite cool inside to the point where diners had to wear blankets over their legs, even after our server kindly turned on one of the heaters when we requested, it was still cool inside and this definitely detracted from the experience and consequently a single star for ambience."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "The restaurant is located within a 15 minute drive of NOTL. The decor is has an upscale cottage vibe. Beautiful view of the vineyeards from inside, but even better if you're seated on the patio. Service is good. The wine selection is (of course) limited to the ones produced there, but luckily they're very good. Food itself was the biggest surprise. Very, very tasty. Generous portions (the mains), and not too expensive. Highly reccommend."

  • "Outstanding food, from ingredients used to preparation to presentation, all top notch. Hadn't been a big fan of Niagara wines before, but the Reserve and Estate wines we had at Ravine exceeded my expectations. Very happy with the restaurant, will be back."
