The restaurant has a contemporary rustic charm and offers a great view of the vineyards. We had the burger and the eggs benedict and both were very good. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The wine flights are a great way to enjoy a variety of the wines with your meal. Highly recommended!

All four of us rated the food as outstanding. Two ordered the hamburger for lunch. One had a green salad and appetizer platter and I had the beet salad with salmon and steak frites. Our wine choice was the 3x2 oz flight of Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv. We were more than happy with the results and highly recommend the restaurant and the winery. Friendly front of house staff and service that was quick and efficient. We will return.

We went specifically with reservations for Thanksgiving Day lunch, after verifying with the restaurant directly that they would serve turkey dinner in addition to their regular lunch menu. We were told only when ready to order that turkey 'was never served at lunch' and only after considerable prodding did the server admit to their having run out of turkey the day before. Very poor planning indeed, to run out of turkey before even getting to Thanksgiving Day!! We ordered a lunch that turned out to be fair, even if not totally dismal....the chicken was overdone and the trout was somewhat dry. The wine list was good, but the restaurant was a disappointing experience.

We travel yearly to attend the Shaw Festival, and have happily enjoyed Ravine's restaurant several times since it's opening. It has become one of the culinary highlights of our trips to Niagara on the Lake . Always a creative and soulful menu, warm ambiance and service, and unerringly delicious fare. Love the unpretentiousness feel of the place, too.

Service is interested and professional; ambiance farmyard provincial . Menu is not extensive, if you have food allergies or sensitivities, there won't be a lot of wiggle room. 2 of our party had the blackened pickerel, (delicious); a third had the duck , which was called a confit but was actually a yummy and crispy thigh; two others had lamb. We started with a shared charcuterie plate which was memorable only for its into the netherworld, chicken liver mousse. We tried to order some of that to take home but they weren't allowing that. Dessert was a shared piece of cake that was individual layers of beet, carrot, sweet potato cake sandwiched with cream cheese, topped with pineapple ice cream. Wine was from their winery and was fine.

The dining room is a casual yet intimate glassed-in space, with a view of the vineyard (and playing area outside for the kids)--service was attentive but not intrusive. I had the Malpeque oysters, then trout and lobster salad and finished with a Cabernet franc ice wine. The oysters were lovely, served on the half shell with the usual accoutrements but the trout was dry and over seasoned (the lobster-bean salad was fine though there wasn't much). The $15 flight of wine (2 oz of 3 different kinds) is a nice way to taste Ravine wines. My husband's meal was similarly good though not exceptional, though I rather regret not trying the wood fired pizzas. Overall, pricy for what you get.

We arrived at the Winery a little early and were directed to check out the complimentary wine tasting. We eneded up speaking with one of the sales people in the winery who was very knowledgeable about ravine's product. We purchased some wine for home and proceeded to dinner. Dinner was very good since many of the products are locally sourced or raised right at Ravine

Went here for a leisurely birthday dinner. The autumn light in the vineyard was golden, and the food was golden too. We split the homemade charcuterie plate -- highly recommended. My husband had the duck confit and I had the Cornish hen with a peach relish which was fantastic. I felt like the desserts were less interesting, but overall it was a lovely meal. It's great to be able to try a little taste of the wines on the menu before choosing a bottle, but in fact the server's recommendation was spot on. A very nice experience.

Ravine Vineyard Restaurant is definitely our first choice for dining in the Niagara area. We enjoyed the rather rustic, quiet ambience of countryside dining overlooking the vineyard. Service was friendly and factual and the menu was very appealing. We settled on the foie gras pate to start and then went with the tempura style pickerel with risotto and the duck confit for entrees. Both were simply delicious. We particularly liked the addition of sponge toffee crumbs as a sweet accompaniment for both the pate and the dessert cheese plate. Ravine Vineyard Restaurant is a very pleasant place to dine when in Niagara.

We often take visiting friends to Ravine. Two other couples recently joined us for lunch there. The food was very good, although the tomato salad was pretty stingy, even for a small eater's starter. Service was casual and friendly. We love the local sourcing, the freshness of ingredients, and the on-site wood-fired oven which produces breads and pizzas.

Alovely evening at the Ravine Vineyard Restaurant, a comfortable restaurant with great service and amazing food. From a terrific appetizer to share to great entrees a lovely dessert and of course, great wine. Admittedly, I choose the blackened pickerel because I wanted the kale, sweet corn & chorizo fricassee with the goat cheese cream sauce. It was amazing. I love having my dinner not just cooked for me but "created" by an amazing Chef. It was heavenly. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We stopped at the tasting room on our way out to purchase a couple of bottles of wine to continue to enjoy at home. Definitely would go back.

Great place to go in Niagra on the Lake. Still a hidden gem, but you need to make reservations. Going for a late launch at the first seating at 5PM is a great choice, specially during the fall. If you want to try something good as for the Foie Gras pate for appetizer. It's unbelievable.

This is my third visit to your restaurant. I was diaappointed as our group booked a table and was planning on ordering from your pizza oven which was closed. I had called earlier on the day to confirm the pizza oven would be open and stated that is why we were booking as we specifically were coming for the pizza. I was told yes. We were rather surprised that was not the case when we arrived from the caledonia, ancaster and Burlington area. Meals served were good for some of the dishes and just okay for the others, nothing special. We were also less than impressed with the service. Only chance of returning would be for the pizza that is of course if we know for certain it would be open. That will have to wait until next year

My son is studying winemaking at Niagara College and was recommended this restaurant by a classmate. It ended up being better than we expected. The place was not breathtaking but"right" as we called it. Everyone was friendly and enthusiastic. The food was expertly prepared with interesting matching flavours, such as peaches with Cornish hen, and the wine of the winery went really well with what we had ordered. My son said that the scallops were probably the best that he ever had and my lamp was delicious and perfectly cooked. we also had a chance to taste the wines at the winery before the meal and, therefore, were able to sample the wines which helped us decide which to take for our meal. Overall a great experience.

All round a great experience for our anniversary dinner. A definite must if you're in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Spectacular food and wine. Great vibe with live music. Service was very good. My only complaint was that the waitress did not remove from our bill the glass of wine that she recommended but that I didn't like and didn't drink. And, they did not acknowledge our anniversary whatsoever even though we mentioned more than once that it was our anniversary (unlike Treadwell the night before where the staff went out of their way for us and offered us complimentary sparkling wine - a very nice touch). Regardless, I would highly recommend Ravine.

I would have preferred a table that wasn't at the entrance, but one can't have everything, can one? I think I made an excellent choice when I discovered you on the internet! The night we were there they had a singer covering a lot of old hits, from Kingston Trio and Dylan to Beatles and Stones. He and the outlook over the vineyard (until the sun set) created a perfect backdrop for terrific food, with both flavor and good presentation. They offer flights of their wine but we created our own "large flight" by sharing glasses of several types through the meal.
