Ravine Vineyard RestaurantPortions were generous althoughPortions were generous although I felt that the lunch menu could of had more selection for salads.
I enjoyed the smoked chicken pasta (but wished there was more chicken in it) and thought that the pasta noodle was a bit overcooked. It was a generous portion and I could not finish it.
Overall, great service, great view!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptionalRavine was a fabulous place to spend my Mother's Day. This was a memorable experience! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic - we will be back for Father's Day, if not before!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the second time weThis is the second time we have eaten at Ravine. The food is amazing. Everything we have tried has always left us wanting more. My only disappointment is the portion size for the dinners. Rather small and sadly we left still a bit hungry.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI love everything about thisI love everything about this wonderful spot particularly the bread and pizza from the wood-fired oven and the charming wait staff. Menu has a good variety and wine list is adequate. The location and views are spectacular. This is a special treasure tucked in the heart of St. David's.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingA true gem not to be missed if you are visiting Niagra On The Lake. Excellent presentation of unique dishes. The squash soup is fabulous and the white fish from Lake Huron is to die for! The local wines were an unexpected treat.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGourmet findWe were surprised by how sophisticated the meal was. We had expected something a bit less formal but the presentation and complexity of the dishes was first rate. The whitefish was perfect, and the sous vide rabbit delicious. The pickled fennel with shallot reduction was a marvelous accompaniment. The winery's varietals made for fun choices.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Restaurant Great AmbienceWe loved our visit to Ravine Vineyard. It is off the beaten path in Niagara-on-the-Lake and make for a lovely day trip from Toronto. The service was wonderful. We were greeted warmly and our reserved table was right by the window overlooking a lovely view of the vineyard. Very nice food and service with a very good wine list.
We loved the view, the natural setting and the convenient next door gift store and wine tasting. We love the Red Coat Wine and several bottles as gifts. Will definitely return.
The reception was very, very, friendly.
Thank you.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGorgeous Farm-SettingThe setting in a heritage farmhouse and the open view to the vineyard created a comfortable setting in a beautiful afternoon. The menu featuring local ingredients made everything attractive. We shared a Charcuterie which came with a very cute assortment of smoked meat and preserves. The way how the server patiently explained each type of meat was a very nice touch. The ravine burger was very juicy and tender. Each guest at the restaurants was presented with a complementary sampling of wines at the adjacent tasting room. The service was highly attentive. A very memorable dining experience!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLunch with a viewMy niece and I met for lunch here and had a fantastic experience. We requested a table closer to the windows and the staff worked quickly to make the change. Our server (Cheryl) was prompt, friendly and very knowledgable about the food menu and wine list. We both did the 2 Courses for $22 (great value btw) and the 3oz wine pairing. Both of us ordered the chicken liver parfait and the burger. The parfait was to die for. The serving size was quite generous and the Riesling that was paired with it was a perfect compliment. Our burgers (also massive) were hot, juicy and perfectly cooked through. The merlot selected for the burger was very satisfying. We had a lovely time and are going to make it an annual tradition!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't beat ambiance of this gem!The Ravine Winery restaurant is a gem among the winery restaurants in Niagara. Local-inspired menu, perfectly paired with their excellent wine list. Visit on a Thursday and enjoy free corkage of wines purchased in their retail store. Our only regret was we didn't know this until we'd already sat down and paid the menu price for our wine. Enjoyed a mushroom soup and mussels. Very generous portion and delicious mussels. Couldn't finish it all! Great spot to impress business colleagues who haven't experienced Niagara's charm or a special friend or date.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
