  • Great Food, but pricey

The food was tasty for the most part. Favorite dish was the Jelfrezzi, least favorite were the Samosa's. I have no idea how they can justify charging $13 for two Samosas. I found the other dishes to be more appropriately priced. Servers were young but polite and friendly, Food was tasty, and the decor superb. I would recommend it to a friend, but don't forget your pocket book ;) Please do try the Galob Jamon a la mode for dessert. Came with candied pecans and was excellent!

The decor is beautiful and the waiter very excited to present his menu. The concept is to order many plates to share. However,we felt it was a little expensive for the very small portions they were serving. Usually, we are always full when we eat at an Indian restaurant. For two person, we had one entree (tandori tikka panner, one vegetable dish (masala potato and eggplant), two main dishes (butter chicken and the shrimps and scallops cury), one naan and one rice. We were still hungry after all of this because the plates were very small. The shrimp and scallop "main dish" came with exactly two shrimps and two scallop. The plates were still delicious but very disappointed with the size and price

The food is tasty but the portions are small. I know Indian restaurants usually don't offer big portions but this resto needs to improve their portions. Second time at this place. The cocktails were good the first time not the second time. Weak drinks. I have to say the music and the decor are great.

I love Indian food and this little gem of a neighborhood restaurant was quite a discovery. The decor is chic and the tables are dressed simply but very efficiently. Staff was very friendly and recommended great items on the menu. The bbq chicken was simply amazing

The food is good and the service pretty good as well. The owner took a few minutes to chat with us, which I find a nice detail. Small terrace in the back is0 nice as well. Prices are cheap and wine list better than many other "high-end" restaurants. Something to try out if you are in the area and look for a high end Indian.

Although I had passed in front of this relatively new restaurant in the Sud-Ouest for quite some time, I had never been in. I finally went last week and I was pleasantly surprised by an Indian restaurant with a certain flair. You will find the staple Indian dishes at Rasoï but you will also discover innovating ways of cooking and presenting Indian cuisine. The only disappointment (there's gotta be one) is that I found the portions to be very minimalistic…

When we walked in to Rasoi we were first struck by the cool decor, and the friendliness of the service staff. Then we got to the food - wow! We had the Onion Bajhi which were delicious, crispy and not greasy. Then the mango salad with tuna tataki. Every mouthful was tender and fresh...full of flavour. For mains we had the eggplant and potato dish and the chicken and shrimp biryani. Again, tasty, not greasy, and nicely spiced...just on the right side of being overly hot. We also had the naan which was great. We would definitely go back and try the poutine next time. We had read in other reviews that the fries were from frozen. The server made a point to tell us the fries are fresh cut. Service was attentive, ambience was great!

Everything about Rasoi was fantastic. The service staff was over-the-top friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu, the kitchen staff was exceptionally accommodating with allergies and diet, and the wine list was fantastic. Some great bottles from the SAQ, and not the traditional French fare you get deluged with, either. But as great as the dining experience was, a restaurant is nothing without it's food. In this case, the food was so flavourful, so delicious, so innovative, such great blends of flavours, that it even surpassed the level of service. I think fusion cuisine is especially tricky to pull off convincingly - I was convinced. Favourites were the BBQ tandoori chicken, the venison samosas, and the palak paneer.
