Diner Reviews
  • "The food is good and the service pretty good as well. The owner took a few minutes to chat with us, which I find a nice detail. Small terrace in the back is0 nice as well. Prices are cheap and wine list better than many other "high-end" restaurants. Something to try out if you are in the area and look for a high end Indian."

  • "Although I had passed in front of this relatively new restaurant in the Sud-Ouest for quite some time, I had never been in. I finally went last week and I was pleasantly surprised by an Indian restaurant with a certain flair. You will find the staple Indian dishes at Rasoï but you will also discover innovating ways of cooking and presenting Indian cuisine. The only disappointment (there's gotta be one) is that I found the portions to be very minimalistic…"

  • "Very small portion. Delicious butter chicken curry, but the cocktails were just acceptable. Nice decor and ambience. Overall good experience."

  • "When we walked in to Rasoi we were first struck by the cool decor, and the friendliness of the service staff. Then we got to the food - wow! We had the Onion Bajhi which were delicious, crispy and not greasy. Then the mango salad with tuna tataki. Every mouthful was tender and fresh...full of flavour. For mains we had the eggplant and potato dish and the chicken and shrimp biryani. Again, tasty, not greasy, and nicely spiced...just on the right side of being overly hot. We also had the naan which was great. We would definitely go back and try the poutine next time. We had read in other reviews that the fries were from frozen. The server made a point to tell us the fries are fresh cut. Service was attentive, ambience was great!"

  • "Everything about Rasoi was fantastic. The service staff was over-the-top friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu, the kitchen staff was exceptionally accommodating with allergies and diet, and the wine list was fantastic. Some great bottles from the SAQ, and not the traditional French fare you get deluged with, either. But as great as the dining experience was, a restaurant is nothing without it's food. In this case, the food was so flavourful, so delicious, so innovative, such great blends of flavours, that it even surpassed the level of service. I think fusion cuisine is especially tricky to pull off convincingly - I was convinced. Favourites were the BBQ tandoori chicken, the venison samosas, and the palak paneer."
