Raphael is a family-owned casual fine dining restaurant in the heart of Studio City. Raphael aims to provide Studio City with a dining experience unlike any other in the area, as can be seen from its casually luxurious and elegant décor and attention to detail.

The full small plates menu is also available in our lounge, where Mixologist Chris Parke creates one-of-a-kind cocktails highlighting fresh juices and herbs. In addition to full bar, we also have an extensive wine list with a diverse selection of wines by the glass.

  • "Really enjoyed the meal. Between 2 of us we had the brussel sprouts, cauliflower, tuna tartar, pork belly, and 48 hour steak. Everything was excellent. Nothing was overly filling, we didn't leave hungry, but don't expect to be stuffed."

Chef Evan continues to shine among his creative choices, excellent presentation, and interesting combinations of savory dishes. He has daily specials...so you should definitely try one, like his watermelon, goat cheese, with crispy pine nuts, with a beautiful balsamic drizzled on top. The Bar Tender, Chris is creative, artful, and friendly, introduces you to drinks that have unusual ingredients, that make his cocktails his signature! The service is friendly and accommodating. I love this restaurant, and highly recommend a visit. Come to Raphael...I 'm sure you will get hooked like me!"

  • "It's hard to review this dining experience. We went early on a Saturday. 6pm and there were only 2 others people dining. With their 2 year old. Who screamed on and off for the 45 minutes we were there. It was uncomfortable that no one else was there but I think it's just a late night spot. The food was good so try it."

  • "This was one of the noisiest restaurants we have been to in a long time. Sat near a table of 20 girls who yelled and screamed the entire time; maybe a bachelorette party . They should have been in a private room or way off by themselves . The manager gave us a free desserts, but there was no place else to sit. We asked to be seated elsewhere when we first sat down. The. waiter told us there was no place for us. Later some people sat near us, complained, and they were moved. Oh well."

  • "If you don't care to wait 2 hours to be served then this is your place, we complaint several times, our waiter was arrogant , he insisted we should order 2 dishes per person, we ordered 5 dishes among the 4 of us. about 1/2 HOUR AFTER WE ORDER THEY SENT AN APPETIZER, we asked once more about the rest of the food and our waiter had the nerve to say he warned us to order more than 1 dish p/p, he said the kitchen was busy, my husband asked to cancel his plate, he was so upset that he couldn't eat, the waiter with a long face and said it's almost here, it took another 7 min more to get the the rest. The only good thing was the manager he apologize very graciously insisting to give him another chance to return,what a way to spoil a night"

  • "I am I very picky eater and never let people order for me. But I have ordered the chef's tasting menu twice now at Raphael and am just amazed at how wonderful the food. The chef is amazing. He is so talented and makes unbelievably delicious food. The staff is also super friendly which also adds to the overall WONDERFUL experience. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and I would definitely recommend getting the chef's five course tasting menu!!!"

  • "Tried this place for Valentine's day weekend and went back a month later for my birthday. LOVED everything about it. All small plates so we were able to try a bunch. Loved them all! Beef Tartar was amazing! Banana bread pudding with PB ice cream was one of the best desserts I've ever had! Gnocchi, tempura chicken, sweet, sour, salty brussel sprouts, pork belly, ALL amazing!"

  • "Let's be quick about this chef who must own a salt mine because everything that was served to my wife on me on 3-13-14 was heavily over-salted.......from the albacore tuna tartare to the dressing on the wild mushroom salad to the rabbit ragu pasta.......the pasta being actually inedible due to so much salt which was worse than the overcooked mushy pasta noodles. The steak tartare was absolutely tasteless. Maybe we should have known something was wrong when we arrived at 730pm and there were only two tables with diners."

Many tables in nooks & crannies afford privacy worthy of celebrity status...felt like a celebrity myself with the attentive service and the special greeting by the Chef! "Small" plates actually big enough to be your entrée at the end of your tastings. 3-cheese was perfectly matched up, and a great way to start the dinning experience...next time I will go for the 5-cheese! Pork belly worthy of double order (it's that good); tuna tartar was heavenly; shrimp in bisque (not soup) was super flavorful and well-cooked; salmon was deliciously crispy; for the meat-lover in all of us, the 48hr steak was incredible."

  • "Had a great time at Raphael! food was outstanding, though I could have done without the flowers that garnished some of the dishes and very 1980's-haute-cuisine type plating; overall, it was a pleasant experience: waiter was friendly and attentive…bit of a hiccup when our grilled bread with marrow butter was lost or forgotten, but it was quickly remedied by the manager, who ended up taking it off of our bill, which was a nice gesture. additionally, The viognier was fantastic - which our waiter recommended non-judgementally when I admitted my ignorance of wines. My favorite dishes were the pork belly, American Wagyu and the banana bread pudding. I would definitely come back for another meal and absolutely recommend it to a friend"

  • "Excellent food. Found their implementation of the Dine LA specials a little strange. The policy (all diners needed to purchase the Dine LA fixed price menu) seemed to lose site of the focus of this weekly event: to expose people to new restaurants at a reasonable price. They seemed more concerned with the immediate revenue and less on winning over new long term customers. If one person wants to order a la carte, and another the special price fixed menu, so be it. To his credit, when we eschewed the special fixed price offering because we didn't want all the courses, the waiter was kind enough to point out the pricing of one of our items. He didn't do the math for us, but we soon realized we'd be spending more a la carte and went fixed."

There happened to be a birthday party in the bar area. So very, very loud. Hard to get bartenders attention, but may have been due to the large party. We left after the appetizers due to the noise. We will however, give it another try."

Great place to go with a group - most of the dishes are served family style so great for sharing. Food innovative and original and really, really good. Don't miss out on the 48 hour rib steak. The best piece of meat I've ever had."
