A word from Rao's - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
The home-cooked meals at Rao’s Las Vegas are magnificent culinary experiences worthy of the Review-Journal’s multiple “Best Las Vegas Italian Restaurant” awards. The time-honored dishes include perfectly cooked pastas, risottos and the mouthwatering steak bistecca; cooked perfectly and sliced tableside. Rao’s Las Vegas Italian restaurant also serves the incomparable Uncle Vincent’s Lemon Chicken, broiled to perfection and sauced with lemon juice, red wine vinegar, olive oil and spices. The classic veal chop is pan-seared and topped with a medley of hot and sweet cherry peppers. Last but not least, Rao’s legendary meatballs taste as if Aunt Anna were still rolling them each morning. Whichever you choose, you are sure to have a Las Vegas restaurant experience worthy of the fine dining legacy Rao’s Las Vegas has established over the last century.

In a city of hustle and bustle this is a quiet romantic place. The food is totally off the charts magnificent. Service is first class. My favorite part about the service was how sweet and personal they all were while at the same time very professional. Great dining experience. thank you

I was quite pleased with my meal. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and thought it was decent enough. The appetizer of seafood salad, was much better than that. {perhaps I ordered the incorrect main dish, but I found the food warm, but not hot. In addition I requested extra sauce with the meal and the presentation tasted a little dry to my subjective liking.

First time at Raos. Just perfect. The service and presentation was fun. The meatballs and the penne vodka were food ecstasy. The pounded veal parm was excellent too. It was my birthday and the free cheesecake was s nice touch. A true home run .

We had confirmed reservations for 7:45 and arrived five minutes early and were asked to wait for a few minutes. There were plenty of open tables. While we were sitting and waiting, two other couples wwalked in and were immediately seated. After 15 minutes of waiting, we inquired and were told that it would be shorly. We complained about others being seated first who arrived later and we walked out.

Took a client from New York since this is one restaurant he has been wanting to try and have a difficult time securing reservation in New York. Comparing this to other notable restaurants in Las Vegas, it did not meet expectations. The Mussells appetizer was dry and lacking of flavor. The broth was bland. One chicken entree was so not memorable, I can not even recall the name. It was overwhelmed with peppers and the chicken was chewy. The other entree was I believe, a Shrimp Scampi type preparation. It was better than the chicken dish but not to the level of expectation. Service was just ok. With so many choices in Las Vegas, it is not one I would return to anytime soon.

We always look for good Italian restaurants when we travel, so when we saw that the legendary Rao's had a Las Vegas outpost, we excitedly booked it. While our server Russ was the gracious host, much of the food left us disappointed. The salad may have been the best choice: a mix of different lettuces, crisp and fresh vegetables and a perfectly traditional Italian dressing made a good start. While the baked clams appetizer was presentable but not memorable, the mussels were small and lacked their usual succulence. Shrimp scampi was served over al dente pasta. The shrimp were quite large but the seasoning was flat and lacked garlic. A side of sauteed broccoli rabe was tough, undercooked and almost devoid of seasoning. Not legendary.

If your in Las Vegas you need to make Rao's one of your dining choices. Unless your a big eater splitting the entrees and sharing is highly recommended as the portions are large. We had the lasagna and a side order of meatballs. The meatballs are so large you could almost make it a meal. Our waiter was outstanding and guided us through the menu assuring we would not overwhelm ourselves with food. Don't forget to get a cannoli for desert.

Loved the food, incredible, but for the portion size it was very pricey. $50 for 3 very petite lamb chops is a bit much. On the web-site average entre price is $20-40, NOT TRUE.

Bruschetta app was good, as was the lasagne, although it was very rich and did not need to be so rich. The ravioli purses were bland and not appealing. The best dish was the lemon chicken, which was unexpected in an Italian restaurant. We had an excellent wine--Banfi Chianti Classico Reserva.

After living half of our live in and around New York City, we are spoiled when it comes to great Italian food. However, we haven't lived there for the last several years so were very excited to eat at Rao's. We were certainly not disappointed in the least. It was a fantastic meal. The service was very attentive, and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend the lasagna, and the meatballs. My wife inhaled her eggplant rollatini. It really satisfied our NYC style Italian cravings. My only hesitance is the prices. We were very surprised by how high the prices were given that we have eaten at classic NYC awesome Italian restaurants in NY for far less money. It was very good in every other way.

My friends and I had chosen this restaurant because the description made us laugh- joke was on us though. This was our last dinner in Vegas and the food was amazing! Our waiter recommended the vodka penne meal to me and it was SO good! The portion sizes were just right. After we had the opportunity to walk through Caesars Palace where the restaurant was located, and it was just overall a good experience. Can't say enough nice things about it.

I hadn't been to Raos in LV for quite a few years and had LOVED Raos in NYC the 2 or 3 times I had the opportunity to dine there . Sunday nite pre Rod Stewart dinner at Raos was a JOY !!! WE loved the room we were taken to (dining room #2 ???) . our waiter , Brian, was fabulous from the moment he approached the table ... My husband & I shared a caesar salad ...perfect ! then he had Veal Marsala with mashed potatoes ...amazingly tender, delicate veal ...and I had the Lemon chicken : sublime ! those entrees along with a side of spinach was just perfect (only sad we couldn't take a "doggie bag " :) as we were going to the concert. As part time LV residents we plan on dining at Raos often !

Order the meatballs--outstanding! An order is two, the size of baseballs. Two of us for dinner, went on recommendation of a friend. Serving sizes huge, enough to share, so order a starter, a side, and entrée, and share. Also had the veal parmesan, served bone in, size of a tennis racket. Very tasty, but it cools off too fast. Better to order for a larger party and share, so you can eat it before it gets cold. Also had a side of linguini (perfectly al dente) with marinara (perfectly seasoned, very fresh). Too full for dessert, will save room next time. Service was outstanding, nice wine list. Pricey restaurant, but in line with what you expect for a high end Vegas restaurant.

Have been going to Las Vegas for years and have stayed at Caesars many times and have always wanted to try Rao's. Awfully glad I finally did, went with the boys from work (something you never do - right) Well you should, we ate in the replica dining room and the service (Shaun) was excellent and the food was second to none. The whole experience was top notch, have already told several friends about it and several more will soon follow. Will definitely return next time I return to my second home-Las Vegas.

I would recommend Rao's with no doubt. We arrived early and had a glass of wine at the bar and was treated very well. Or meal and service was just right not an over burdened waiter always bugging us just there when required. A bit too much ice in my bourbon on the rocks but a minor detail. I even had dessert. That is rare for me. Lamb and Rosemary potatoes were delicious and a shrimp pasta was also very well done. Enjoyed the ambience. I have never been to new your but I can imagine that this is what it must be like in that neighborhood. Highly recommend this place. A bit difficult to find in Caesars maze of locations.

    Dined on 9/26/2014
My wife made a reservation here based on hearing about their legendary meatballs. I wish we had only ordered the meatballs as they were fantastic as advertised ! If we had ended the meal there, we would have had a perfect experience. Unfortunately, our mistake was ordering more food. We each had a pasta course and these were each fantastic, but they were simply too much food. We then compounded the error by ordering a single entree but by the time this came, we were so full we could't really enjoy. The sauce error came from a dropped bowl of marinara which ended up on my wife's blouse and pants. The mgr eventually made things right, but it took too long for them to do so. Our waiter (Jimmy) was great and very apologetic.

Staying on the strip, Rao's is a convenient restaurant stop. Although it can be a bit loud when all the tables are full, it was still a great atmosphere to dine. Our waiter was attentive and friendly along with additional wait staff to assist with wine and delivery/cleanup. The food was excellent, but some items can be large in portion size. Our waiter guided us as to amount of food verses our appetite. Plenty of wine choices, but some might find it a bit lacking. A shared dessert was a great finish.
