We decided last minute to go this restaurant so booked an early time to be sure to get a space. We were the only patrons at 6:00 p.m and no one else came while we were there. The single waiter was very attentive and anxious to serve us. We ordered a lamb curry (from Burma) and a seafood curry. Both dishes came with nicely cooked veggies and rice. The lamb was tasty but too salty while the seafood was pretty good.

Burmese or Vietnamese or try a little of both. Very pleasant and attentive service; I was the only one in the restaurant for the late lunch, they seem to focus more on the dinner crowd or perhaps with the November season they change their hour. Two menus were offered up, one for each country and I had an appy from one, spring rolls (can never go wrong here) and the Burmese Ling Cod Lemon Grass Curry - Excellent!

Despite the fact we were the only party in the restaurant ( it was Thanksgiving) - we were warmly welcomed and treated with great courtesy. The food was delicious - especially the pork belly with tamarind, the spicy beef curry, the lamb with yoghurt curry, the soup and the tomato salad. The Burmese dishes were authentic (we've been to Burma), but we did not sample the western dishes, which, I can only assume, are as good as all the rest. It is owned by a Vietnamese family, who were utterly charming and catered to our needs with great aplomb. It is a great little place and we should have no reservations in recommending it to our friends and acquaintances. We shall definitively return.

My parents are from Burma and they really liked it! They said most if the dishes we ordered were authentic. The salads were amazing. They had the right combination of flavours and textures. We ordered the coconut prawn curry, which was absolutely delicious! But my parents say that it tasted more like Thai style, than Burmese style. Nonetheless, it was still delicious. Overall, I would come here again and introduce this hidden gem to my foodie friends!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Rangoon. The service was excellent, and the food was extremely tasty. We had not had Burmese food before, and were interested in trying it. As presented, it was transition between Thai/Malay food and Indian food. We had the seafood salad and pork belly appetizers, and seafood curry and lamb curry as main courses. All were excellent with varying degrees of spiciness and full of flavour. We will definitely return.

I've never had Burmese food before. If you like the cuisines of the rest of the peninsula you'll feel right at home. The pork belly mango pickle and coconut curry prawns are both excellent. Kayan chinthi salad was less exciting but still very good. I plan to return to try the soups.

We were thoroughly pleased with our first experience here & look forward to returning! One of the best coconut prawn curries I've had, with a generous amount of prawns. My husband also enjoyed their very tasty ling cod lemongrass curry. The wines were very reasonably priced & good quality.
