Couldn't really finish mine, and I like salt. My husband and I have been dining here since the first year they opened and the food never disappoints. The food and cocktail menu changes, so the diner never gets bored with it.

Several at our table had the halibut, which was sublime. I had artichokes with ricotta dumplings. The dumplings were fine, but not notable - but the artichokes were perfect. Tender, not one bit of the tough leaf left on the portion - and the broth they were served in was flavorful. I sopped it up with the bread. The food is unusual, well prepared and absolutely delicious. I love their use of fresh seasonal ingredients. The bar makes a fantastic manhattan and you can get unusual bourbons that are great on the rocks.
The service is wonderfully attentive, without being snobby. The wait staff is very knowledgable about menu items. Range presents the kind of dishes that can't be sized up in one bite. You're less likely to find something that's going to wow you with fireworks, and more likely to find something that's savory and smooth that creeps up on you by the end of the dish. Then, you're left craving it for weeks. I'm still craving the clams with sausage and peppers that I ate a year ago.
