  • "We always go before performances at Stoneham but have picked up take out and gone many other times, we enjoy it that much! Have never had any negative experiences. Glad we made an open table reservation last Sat evening though as it became pretty crowded!"

  • "The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly, and was well seasoned and flavorful. The place is not fancy, but everyone at our table enjoyed the food, and the price was quite reasonable. I'll be back."

  • "We have been to this neighborhood gem many times and the food is always very good. I think it is the best Indian food in our area by far. Got a reservation for Valentine's The food was good but the restaurant was overwhelmed. We waited 60 minutes for our main course. Obviously the take out orders impacted the orders for people eating in. Although there were 2 people who arrived after I did and received their main course before we did. The staff and owner are wonderful were very apologetic but it diminished this meal for us. The Chicken Naral, Lamb Shanks, Vegetable Masala are all wonderful dishes. I will not go there again during a special occasion anytime soon."

  • "Noticed that the menu looked very familiar. Come to find out, it's the same owners as Jewel in the Crown up in Newburyport which we dined at very frequently. Food at Rang was good, though I think the Newburyport location is a bit better. Had the okra (binde masala) and it was a bit dry. The chick pea dish was excellent and the lamb tandoori was also a bit dry. The lamb also had some kind of medicinal taste to it, maybe from the stuff they put on the skillet to make it sizzle like fajitas? Anyway, going to try it again and try the creamier dishes such as cashew chicken and saag. The waitstaff was wonderful!"

  • "We enjoyed a fun dinner with friends at this local Indian restaurant. There were many great choices on the menu. We split an appetizer selection and each of us had a different dish. I tasted them all and they were great - tandoori grill, lamb shank in curry, lamb kebab and chicken in a coconut curry. Great value! The restaurant is conveniently located near the Stoneham theater. We got the impression that many diners went to see the show after dining."

  • "Great place for lunch or dinner. No buffet here. Everything is hot and fresh. Bindhi masala is to die for. I love the dahl, saag paneer and veggie samosas. Lots of variety in the menu. Nice wines by the glass - Riesling goes great with the spicyness. Has a full bar too. And they are on open table too. One of the best Indian places in the Boston area."

  • "The outside of the place looks small and unappealing and when I opened the door and saw a curtain to push through to enter the restaurant I thought to myself "maybe I should get out of here". I sat down and the server was very friendly though and I actually never had Indian food before so it was a great experience. My friend and I were the only ones in there at one point so the place is not busy at all if you wanted to grab something to eat without much noise. If you want a local place with good service and a menu with many options for a good price, then go here."
