We often go to Rang before attending shows at the Stoneham Theatre and I sometimes get take out! Love the food, the staff, location:) Wish they would expand into out her cities and towns so everyone could enjoy!

I've both dined at this restaurant & ordered takeout and have always been happy with the quality of their food. They have a large variety of entrees and appetizers to please everyone (meat eaters, vegetarians, even those who are gluten free). I really appreciate that they'll customize the spice-level of your dish as well, since I like things on the mild side. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. It's a small restaurant in the heart of Stoneham...not fancy but has charm.

We always go before performances at Stoneham but have picked up take out and gone many other times, we enjoy it that much! Have never had any negative experiences. Glad we made an open table reservation last Sat evening though as it became pretty crowded!

The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly, and was well seasoned and flavorful. The place is not fancy, but everyone at our table enjoyed the food, and the price was quite reasonable. I'll be back.

We have been to this neighborhood gem many times and the food is always very good. I think it is the best Indian food in our area by far. Got a reservation for Valentine's The food was good but the restaurant was overwhelmed. We waited 60 minutes for our main course. Obviously the take out orders impacted the orders for people eating in. Although there were 2 people who arrived after I did and received their main course before we did. The staff and owner are wonderful were very apologetic but it diminished this meal for us. The Chicken Naral, Lamb Shanks, Vegetable Masala are all wonderful dishes. I will not go there again during a special occasion anytime soon.

Noticed that the menu looked very familiar. Come to find out, it's the same owners as Jewel in the Crown up in Newburyport which we dined at very frequently. Food at Rang was good, though I think the Newburyport location is a bit better. Had the okra (binde masala) and it was a bit dry. The chick pea dish was excellent and the lamb tandoori was also a bit dry. The lamb also had some kind of medicinal taste to it, maybe from the stuff they put on the skillet to make it sizzle like fajitas? Anyway, going to try it again and try the creamier dishes such as cashew chicken and saag. The waitstaff was wonderful!

We enjoyed a fun dinner with friends at this local Indian restaurant. There were many great choices on the menu. We split an appetizer selection and each of us had a different dish. I tasted them all and they were great - tandoori grill, lamb shank in curry, lamb kebab and chicken in a coconut curry. Great value! The restaurant is conveniently located near the Stoneham theater. We got the impression that many diners went to see the show after dining.

Great place for lunch or dinner. No buffet here. Everything is hot and fresh. Bindhi masala is to die for. I love the dahl, saag paneer and veggie samosas. Lots of variety in the menu. Nice wines by the glass - Riesling goes great with the spicyness. Has a full bar too. And they are on open table too. One of the best Indian places in the Boston area.

The outside of the place looks small and unappealing and when I opened the door and saw a curtain to push through to enter the restaurant I thought to myself "maybe I should get out of here". I sat down and the server was very friendly though and I actually never had Indian food before so it was a great experience. My friend and I were the only ones in there at one point so the place is not busy at all if you wanted to grab something to eat without much noise. If you want a local place with good service and a menu with many options for a good price, then go here.

We had gotten take out before, but we decided to walk to Rang for dinner this past Saturday night. Of course the food was even better as it was even fresher. Very vibrant flavors and tastes like it was made with care, and not just like typical fast-food take out Indian. Very high quality, good Indian food. (I've had some home cooked Indian on several occasions, and this is pretty close!) The atmosphere is simple but more upscale. Very enjoyable experience and another great restaurant Stoneham has to offer.

We made reservation for the last sitting at 9:30 pm, and the staff stayed and waited just for us on a snowy cold night. We appreciated it! The food was freshly prepared and it was very flavorful and not overly spicy / Hot. Although my okra dish was a bit too salty it was very flavorful (but it could be served less dry / more juicy). The other dishes were very good. The service was friendly, efficient and the recommendations were on point. We paid around $120 for five adults We will return

Not the best indian food I've had in Boston. Went during lunch time with a few co-workers and the service was horrible!!! We were not asked for drink orders, server and manager/owner watched us eat from behind the bar/ register, kitchen staff was extremely loud in the back of the restaurant, server was unable to follow instructions when it came to closing out which then result to receiving a bad attitude when we tried to re-explain to her how we wanted to close out. Will never go back.

If you like spicy, you'll love Rang Indian Bistro! Even the mild dishes were well-spiced, so I'd start with those even if you like heat. If you like very mild, I would clarify that and not just stop at "mild." That said, the food was very good. The lamb shank was excellent, and everything else (a curry, malai kafta, a saag) were very good. They offer small and large bread plates (very generously sized) that included a variety of nans and poori. They have a wide array of appetizers and condiments, such as the cooling raita. They start you out with crackers with 2 sauces (sweet and savory). The wine we had, a Cabernet from Chile, was very good. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Rang for over a year now and we always have a great evening. The food is consistently good and the service is great. You can ask for mild, moderate or spicy. Moderate is pretty spicy for me. The staff are very accomodating and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. The place is small and lends itself to an intimate experience. This last visit we brought my husband's parents who also enjoyed the experience. We love having dinner at Rang and hope you will too.
