Service is normally very good, but on this visit we dined on the same day they instilled a new manager, and the staff was distracted. For me, Randolf's is an excellent choice for a nice business lunch or quiet dinner for two on a Friday night. The atmosphere and ombiance was very elegant, warm, and inviting. The service and servers was outstanding. The food was robust, full of flavor, and out right delicious. The wine selectios were vast and, the wine I chose was delicious; adding to and commpleting the meal.
I would absoluely suggest that if you are looking for a beautiful and grand restaurant, with a great menu and food... Food was very good, service was excellent. And we were allowed to linger to enjoy conversation between friends. Valet Parking was also great. I would recommend it as a great place to meet or take folks for Sunday Brunch. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The NY strip steak was delicious and I was impressed by their wine list. The strawberry shortcake is a must for dessert. We noticed immediately management had changed. The hostess was rude. We only recognized one employee. All of our favorite waiters were gone! We also noticed a big change in the menu. The wine prices were down considerably. We ordered a favorite and was please the price was $15 less than before. The Caeser salad was fine. One of our entrees was very good, the other--not so much. I sent it back. They've added small plates to their menu, so I ordered the duck enchiladas to replace my entree, which were superb. We shared a creme brulee, which was standard. Our waiter, Michael was fantastic.
