Our server, Robin, was excellent! The Bone-in Filet and Ribeye topped with fois gras was amazing. I especially enjoyed the wine Robin picked -Chateau La Hase. We only dine at the Ranch for special occasions and we are always treated very well. Never a complaint about food or service. We did request to be moved away from a large party with children-one squealing child in particular (why parents? why? and yes, I have children, too, never let them scream at a restaurant), but the was no further issue with the noise. I'm also happy to see the Ranch is now open on Sundays. I ordered my filet medium rare and had to send it back to be cooked more. Next time, I will order it medium. We were there for over 2 hours, which I feel is too long. For a Monday night it was very busy, and it was too noisy for me. Steaks were very good; sides were average. We had the garlic mashed potatoes and the green beans w/bacon. The potatoes were somewhat bland; the green beans were a bit rubbery. Very nice wine list, cool bar area, very solid service by the staff. We skipped dessert. Plan to spend upwards of $75/person depending on drinks. Prices are art gallery style; no dollar signs or decimals on the menu. If you have a fondness for Australian wagyu beef (fortunately we don't), be prepared to spend $10 to $15 per ounce with a 10-ounce minimum. We had an excellent off-menu appetizer of one half pound of battered fried rock shrimp on field greens topped with an Asian-inspired peach-coconut-peanut spicy sauce that was to die "of" rather than "for"— because you could eat way more than would be good for you! It was markedly overlooked, as well as unseasoned, and was like eating cardboard. The other steaks were cooked correctly, with the only other issue being a rather tough Aged ribeye.
