This place had good burgers and a tasty pork chop. The service was poor and 2/4 of us had stomach aches After we ate here. So....I'm not really sure about the experience.

Our OpenTable reservation wasn't in their computer system when we arrived but they we're able to seat our party right away, anyway. I had the Kobe beef burger which was very tasty. Wine list is good and service was also good. They also do live music and if country western is your cup of tea, you'll like it here. Dining area has tin ceiling with whole cowhides tacked to the ceiling. Tables are a little too close together but workable. All in all, I appreciated not being rushed and we had a great time.

They were not open on Thanksgiving, but they didn't update their schedule on Open Table. This little 4 block town didn't have any other restaurants open on Thanksgiving. NOTHING. Be very suspect about the booking you make with them on Open Table!

Been here many times & always love it. This last visit was the best ever. I feel hirrible that I forgot our waiter's name because he was awesome! I'll recognize him next time. He was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, & the food was fantastic as always. First time I ordered the rib eye here...was perfectly cooked & with the whiskey cream + mushrooms it was exceptional. We LOVE R & R :)

The wife and I love this place because of the food and ambience, but mostly the staff. From Yvette greeting us at the door, Jacob setting the table and keeping the water glasses full, to Yasmin and Yes the servers making the dinning experience one to remember. This local provides great food at not braking the bank prices, and decent FREE entertainment. We will continue to go to this gem and invite our friends too.

Dinner was delicious and service excellent! We enjoyed a Moscow Mule and a fabulous Honeysuckle whiskey cocktail. My salmon was perfectly cooked and the rice with chopped vegetables and light sauce was the perfect accompaniment. My friend's onion rings were crunchy and perfect. Our server recommended the fried cinnamon roll for dessert. It was deliciously decadent - warm, topped with the creamiest whipped cream and ice cream - what a finish!

We had a wonderful meal however the service was not very good. We had to keep tracking down our waitress to get drinks, ketchup, our bill, etc. then we had a $75 bottle of wine on our bill that we didn't order. I would go back again because it was very good food and great ambiance. Hopefully it was just an off night for the service.

We went to this new restaurant/music venue a few months back and enjoyed the experience, but felt it was a little unorganized. We went again last weekend and had the best time. It's casual, but warm, the food was excellent (in particular the salmon) and the service was friendly. Music came on around 8pm and just made the night. Haven't been to a place where music and dining create such a great package experience. We bought tickets for 'Asleep at the Wheel' in July. It was a little loud, but fun for a Sat night. We will be back!

The live music was phenomenal the atmosphere was welcoming and the Staff was as friendly as can be. We highly recommend this place! By far the best Steak on the central coast!

This is a western style bar/restaurant with a performance stage. There was a duo playing/singing the night that we were there and the music was a bit overpowering for the small venue. The meal that we ordered, slipper snapper, was not at all to our liking, and the manager was more than willing to give us another menu selection without charge. We ordered the battered fish and chips and it was quite good.

The ambiance was fine but everything else was fair to poor. When we got there the kitchen wasn't open so we decided to be seated anyway and have a cocktail. The bartender came over to take our drink order and then came back to tell us they were out of a beer my husband ordered. When my husband questioned him he got very surly and we never saw him again. The service was poor even though there were only 3 other tables and us. I ordered another drink from the waiter and never saw it. They had a very limited menu and had run out of several items so not alot to choose from. The food was greasy and bland. This was my Mother's Day dinner and I was sorely disappointed with the poor customer service and tasteless food. You didn't make my day special

When we dined there on Mother's Day, it was 98 outside and all the doors were wide open. It was very warm inside the restaurant and not at all comfortable. In addition, the restaurant was out of almost everything we tried to order. Not prepared well at all for such a big day.

In Santa Ynez it's not uncommon to see locals riding horses down the main drag (One of them might even be me!). Ranch and Reata is a great fit in this town. On a recent Saturday night, in the middle of Rancheros Visitadores Week, the place was a sea of cowboy hats. There was a great country band up on stage. There were whoops and hollers and a whole lot of drinking doing on. All this could have been a nightmare but the place is so well run that it was nothing but fun. Our sweet waitress found her way to us right away and took orders promptly. There was a special of Wild Boar Chops. They were tasty as heck. The live music and the packed bar don't prepare you for how good the food is. They even let me in with my spurs on. Whoooeee!!!

We had lunch here. Can't beat the fries and onion strings and mac and cheese. We'll be back to sample the other goodies on the menu. Fish and chips was pretty good, one piece was overcooked...pricey for lunch though. Would like to return when there is entertainment. Should be fun. Everyone should give it a try and decide for themselves. Little Santa Ynez township is sporting some great eateries. Thank goodness R&RR if offering a menu of comfort foods fit for the locals as well as visitors!

Went on a Sunday night with reservation. Tried to sit us at the bar as being "a reserved spot". We waited for a table instead. Once seated had to ask several times for a waitress to come to our table. From the time we were seated to the time we received our order took 50 minutes. It was a crowded night and simply not enough staff. Entertainment would have been good had the sound system worked.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the small town hospitality shown towards us by everyone from the hostess, waitress (Jennifer- who's fantastic), and manager Bruce. I liked the fresh veggies and garlic dip brought to all tables instead of bread. Nice alternative and served stylishly. The steaks were done to perfection and dessert was delicious. It was a comfortable atmosphere and wasn't an open seat left in the house.

We had a good meal. The "onion strings" were yummy and wonderful. My husband and I both had steaks and they were cook perfectly. It came with Caesar salad on the side and asperagus. My one complaint was that they served the salad on the same plate as the steak. This is a lively western restaurant and bar. A lot of local ranch owners frequent the place.

The service at Ranch and Reata Roadhouse is fantastic. I also enjoyed the cowboy decor and cowboy movies playing on the big screen. The food however, was just so-so. A little on the bland side and I didn't consider the pricing to be a value. However, I may go back for happy hour to enjoy the wine and appetizers. I will wait until they revamp the dinner menu before I eat dinner at Ranch and Reata Roadhouse again.

I ordered the Top Sirloin and it was cooked perfect. Other than that, the rest of the meal left something to be desired. The Stuffed Mushroom appetizer was undercooked (they should consider par-cooking mushrooms prior) . My wife had the Calamari and it was very bland, came only on a bed of rice with nothing else (No veg?) Service was top notch though, Drinks were inspired and their signature dessert was outstanding.
