We asked for a quiet table along the windows and got exactly what we asked for! The wine menu is great, the food selection is always varied. It had just the right amount of "mood" to a very pleasant experience. I've been there a number of times and it is very consistent.

Julie really makes every meal at Ranazul special. She is SO knowledgeable and SO genuine and SO nice! She is a gem! The chef is similarly gifted, his soups are just phenomenal, and I've tried just about every tapa and they've all been delicious. This is a great go-to spot for weeknights as well as weekends.

Ranazul is a nice Tapas place. It's a mostly open environment with a decent bar, though they had nothing on tap. We enjoyed the food, but still left a little hungry. There's an OK selection for non-meat eaters. One important note: they offer 1/2 glasses of wine; we didn't know that and ordered, and were surprised when the bill was so large.

Ranazul has an extensive number of international tapas and also includes a variety of salads, a couple of soups as well as a few entrees. On prior trips, when it wasn't too crowded, we enjoyed selections made for us by the manager. There were many international wine selections. We love nice wines and were very pleased with a full bodied Camberly Cabernet from South Africa. I was surprised to see an alcohol content of 16% on the label! Not that that makes a wine any better, but it was a nice bottle.

Ranazul continues to be a top dining experience in the Baltimore/Washington metro area. We have dined there on many occasions and is a favorite to take out of town guests. Don't let the word "Tapas" lull you into thinking small portions or lesser quality. Two dishes per person are enough to satisfy most adults. The wine list is fairly large and 1/2 glasses are available though somewhat pricey. The allure of this establishment is the quality and imaginative presentation of their dishes added to the ambiance of the restaurant itself. Our waiter gave a complete explanation of the many special dishes not on the menu and was very attentive.

Decor was nice, food was very good quality, and seating was spacious. We highly recommend the calamari and cashew crusted salmon, and filet. They had live ambient music, and the sound system was very good quality. We some some area where it was somewhat private, and would be good for a group of about 10 (like a party)-- we were thinking that for next time. It is near the area of Maple Lawn which is nice if you want to get away from big city like DC or Bethesda.

We have dined here often and our prior experience has been very favorable. The tapas, particularly the arepas, is excellent. Nevertheless, our recent Sunday evening dinner suffered from either a slow server or slow kitchen and an unprofessional staff. The interval between the second and third plates was too long and insufficient attention was given by the staff to clearing the table after each plate and providing clean eating utensils. Despite the high quality of the food, the overall experience was less than acceptable. We complained to the manager who apologized but did not offer an adjustment to the bill.

This was our second time dining there and we will definitely return. Ranazul is quickly becoming one of our favorite restaurants. It is a local gem for the area and I encourage anyone to try it out. We had a wonderful meal at Ranuzul recently during restaurant week. Our server was attentive and the service in general was organized to ensure an enjoyable meal for patrons. The Maui Maui dish and Coconut Flan were particularly delicious. The portions were just right and we are looking forward to another meal at Ranazul soon. As a side note, the restaurant is very "gluten-free" friendly. The list of menu items that do not contain gluten is actually longer than the ones that do! Our waiter and the chef were very accommodating!

I live not far from Ranazul and it has become my favorite place to dine. Whether I'm bringing clients or just dropping by to grab a bite at the bar, it's ideal. Staff is welcoming and professional. I recently recommended to a client that she hold a 'getting to know you' meeting with a potential partner organization in The Galeria private room. Everyone was thrilled and she believes it advanced the relationship between the two companies. Hal does a fabulous job as GM.

Nice basic wine list - BUT, servers knew little about the wine. Was told "The wine girl" was off. Staff should be trained. My questions were not sophisticated, but required a basic knowledge of the list. It would be fine if the waiter/waitress did not directly know, but there was no one there that really knew much. The bar tender tried, but he clearly was using the categories as a general guide and he had not tasted the wines it appeared. Food was good, not wonderful, but very good. People were very pleasant and helpful within their level of training. My criticism is with their training, not their willingness and desire to make the evening pleasant.

We continue to enjoy every dish at Ranazul; this chef is amazing! To find such a gem in the suburbs is truly a gift, especially during the week when we're not up for fighting traffic and heading into DC or Baltimore. Ranazul would be a star in any city; service is great, the wine list is wonderful, there are a lot of selections by the glass, and the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. Hal is a great manager, we love Jeremy and Diane at the bar, and the servers are all enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

The food was decent here, I went for Howard County restaurant week. I had the ceviche, the scallops, the filet, and the chocolate molten cake. We were eating lunch at 1200 noon on this particular day in celebration of restaurant week in Howard county so we were a bit surprised when we asked the server about the 'fixed price' menu that we were informed that the chef would not be ready to service the 'special' menu until 1:30pm in the afternoon. The food was quite good and I was surprised to find a Tapas restaurant in Fulton. However, the restaurant doesn't truly grasp the concept of tapas, with prices so high for each item. I both baltimore and DC, the prices are lower and serving sizes larger for comparable fare. Still, for a place surrounded by farmland, it was a pleasant surprise.

excellent wine list, if a bit pricey for some of the more exotic wines. had the $40 malbec off the main wine list (also sold by the glass) and it was phenomenal... well worth it, as it seemed to complement all my dishes. excellent service - i never felt crowded, just well attended to. the food: i debated ordering a main course, but ended up going with several rounds of tapas, which turned out to be the right decision. my favorites: the adamame to start, the tuna tartar, the lamb, and the salmon. the lamb was $15 for 2... if you order the main course lamb, it's $30 for 6. when making the reservation, request a quiet table for a little more of an intimate setting.
