Diner Reviews
  • "Great food, fun jazz band that plays as part of dinner. Very friendly and excellent service."

  • "Our friends like to eat here when visiting Disneyland, so we decided to check it out. Good place to eat New Orleans' food. Pretty good selection of food. The Bananas Fosters prepared tableside were delicious! They have seating inside and outside. The tables inside were a little too close together. Live music performed by a jazz pianist added to the atmosphere. Our server was pretty good, but we did have to wait for a while for her to bring back our to-go boxes. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I would go back again if I wanted New Orleans' style food or maybe check out their Express Cafe next door."

  • "Took a friend here for her birthday and everything was great! There was even a small Jazz group that played while we had brunch."

  • "The food was very very expensive but it was delicious!! I wish I could afford to eat there more than once!"

  • "The Jazz Kitchen is officially on my 'must-do' list when I visit the Disney Resort area. Food was incredible and everyone enjoyed it and ate their fill including my 10 year old boy and 14 year old girl and my picky husband! They really know how to properly season and flavor the food and not everyone who serves this food can do it! Amber, our waitress, was incredibly attentive in a packed-out restaurant (we were never forgotten) and someone I believe to be a manager even came out to ask how we were enjoying ourselves. Pianist was excellent and played some great music. We came back on our way out of town to get bignets from the Jazz Kitchen Express and those were great as well. 5 stars all the way!"

  • "Jazz Kitchen is a great place to eat if you like New Orleans inspired food. It's not authentic but it's still good and the service is always fantastic. They offer indoor and patio seating, and there's live music inside during dinner and brunch. Order the Bananas Foster for dessert. They make it right in front of you!"

  • "Fun atmosphere . Food was pretty good. Not amazing but happy with it considering we were in Disneyland."

  • "This is always a fun spot to go for something different....appetizers are great but entrees a bit salty. The ambiance is fun...on the patio watching people stroll by....Downtown Disney....and fireworks in perfect view or the bar with their nightly live jazz band....and always friendly staff."

  • "Came for my birthday dinner and the staff was wonderful! Very attentive and friendly! I got my birthday beignets with a candle! Food was amazing!"

  • "The food here is very good. It is somewhat a typical Downtown Disney type of place but food is definitely better quality. Prices are a little high but it is Disney. Shrimp and Grits were excellent. Service is a little rushed and they try to sell you pictures they take but overall a good choice for a nice meal without leaving the area."

  • "The Gnocchi was so salty, it couldn't be eaten. A medium steak came out well done & a blackened Halibut was overcooked so it was dry. Overall, not good especially for what I paid."

  • "This restaurant has really good food. The pineapple upside down cake and the bread pudding was awesome. We will definitely return."

  • "We have been to Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen before with friends and had a great time. This time was a date night with just the two of us and it was romantic and fun with amazing food and service. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants!!"

  • "Great food, Great service. The choice to dine in different areas with different themes makes this a true New Orleans experience. A Fun and relaxing establishment"

  • "We love this restaurant. The food is always good. This time the service was way below standard which was disappointing. Ambience is great and overall we had a good time."

  • "If you don't go to Jazz kitchen you're really missing out. Thursday night is usually blazing piano night go Have fun. The food good, staff is great, and they doing pianos is out of this world."

  • "This time I went here to celebrate my graduation. I generally come here to celebrate something because it's that type of place. It's very busy and the tables are close together and sometimes it's hard to hear but yet it's still one of my favorite restaurants"

  • "We got there waited a bit for service, but when we ordered it came out so fast it was like it was already made? Once our apps were delivered it was less than 10 min that our main course came, we could not put everything on our table so they took the apps away with food still left on. The main meal was average seemed overdone and very salty! Music was good and our kids liked it, but not very New Orleans. "

  • "Whenever I want to dine at Downtown Disney, this is the restaurant of choice. It is quite spending but the food is totally worth it. "

  • "A couple of friends and I met for brunch. Staff was very nice but not too attentive, we had to ask for refills on our ice teas, more than once. The food was good, but not great, and it took very long to get our dishes. We ordered the garlic bread, the bread tasted a bit stale, and the cheese was not melted, a little too greasy. We loved the outdoor patio."

  • "What a great night and dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen! The food was great - the service was great. We had a little snafu with our reservation and ended up waiting quite a while - but, once I mentioned this to our server, the management quickly took care of our issue and gave us an outstanding table. The service was very good. I give huge credit for recognizing and addressing their issue, so I have no complaints and will return. We took a guest that had not been there before and she had an outstanding experience."

  • "We made a reservation for what was supposed to be a romantic date night, but instead got seated inside what looked like a private party room in some back corner. The ambiance in the party room was a flop since I wanted to feel like I was in New Orleans, and the live Jazz that I thought we would hear is in a closed off room downstairs. It would be nice if the live music was in the open area for everyone to enjoy. It kind of defeats the purpose of it being a "jazz" restaurant. The food was O.K. and they didn't have a very wide variety of choices and you literally spend $30 on a slice of fish and less than a fist full or rice....or whatever that was. It was severely overpriced and next time I will just look for a local Jazz spot."

  • "My date and I had a reservation. When we arrived we were taken outside and seated on the patio. We told the hostess that we wanted to dine inside where the live jazz was playing but were told that the it would be a very very long wait, so we went ahead and settled for the patio. Not a good first visit and certainly not what we expected. "

  • "Food was perfectly cooked, tasted great, and came out very quickly to boot! The service was outstanding! Overall an exceptional dining experience! But beware, the prices are on the high side."

  • "We have always loved Jazz Kitchen. This time we met good friends, ate on the balcony as the sun was setting, with the great music from the street band providing ambience. As always, the food was tremendous ... flavorful, well-presented, and portions sized to perfection. Don't miss the double chocolate pudding! Oh my! Great evening, great friends ... a wonderful experience all around!"

  • "enjoyed dining here inside the upstairs room. The ambiance was great. I had the fried chicken, wow it was good. My wife had the catfish, it just melt in your mouth. My friend had the giant shrimp with mashed potatoes and grits it was amazing good."

  • "The food is good but Ralph Brennans Double Chocolate Brad Pudding is out of this world. If or when I get out to death that will definitely be part of my last meal."

  • "Downtown Disney was mobbed on a Saturday night on Memorial Day weekend. Parking was a hassle. We had made reservations for my son's birthday dinner. We had no problems and were directed to a nice table in an uncrowded room. The service was great and the food was quite good. We were all pleasantly impressed. We thought we would be in a mob scene due to the crowd. All in all it was a very pleasant experience."

  • "Get reservations! The Jazz Kitchen is very busy...for a reason. This was our second visit and everything we have tried was great. BBQ shrimp and grits, beef medallions with crawfish mashed potatoes, pesto gnocchi...one word for all of it - YUM!!"
    Dined on 5/24/2014
  • "We've been here several times and specifically went last week for our daughter's birthday. The reservation process here was very easy. Overall food was fine (not great), live music was good, and service was disorganized and slow. We expected much better for a $300 dinner. It seems the focus is on Disney tourists and not building repeat customers. "

  • "Had dinner here during the Rock Your Disney Side event. Being from New Orleans, I was skeptical. The food was great. I had jambalaya pasta. They brought the kids meals right away which was great. The beignets were pretty good but not quite airy enough inside to make them authentic. I would say avoid the bread pudding. It was cold and not that tasty. Overall, a great alternative to very lacking Disneyland food. "

  • "We went to the Jazz Kitchen with another couple. All of four of us commented on how fantastic the food was. We enjoyed the live jazz music and the atmosphere. I would definitely go back there for dinner."
