  • "There is no need to go on and on about this resturant. It was excellent!"

  • "We had a Romantic Dinner celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and all I can say is that the food was great and the Service was Superior. They sat us in a small table away from the main dinning room and it was just what we needed since I wanted it to be special for my spouse. Overall I will rate the experience Outstanding for the food, service and especially the dessert. Will come back again"

  • "We celebrated our anniversary and found the food, service and ambience to be just what we wanted. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant evening in a romantic town."

  • "We passed the Raintree, it looked good AND they had parking. It was raining, so we sat inside which was charming. The young man who served us was perfect. He made excellent recomendations for each of the four of us. The food was awesome. The salads were delicious. I had the Swordfish, DELICIOUS. The Filet Mignion was prepared as requested and really enjoyed. We don't usually eat dessert, but our server recommended the Berry and Cappiccino Crepes with ice cream. A perfect ending to a perfect meal."

  • "Everything about this restaurant was just OK. Nothing was special about it. Service was impersonable- Maybe that was because a 15% tip is already included in your bill. We would not return because for the money, you can get a better meal and experience elsewhere."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "The food was very good. The server was excellent and very helpful. Very comfortable place to eat. On the down side you don't get many calamari for an $11 appetizer. We would also suggest checking your bill closely. We had a tip added in automatically and were never told."

  • "I go to St. Augustine on a regular basis, and have always tried to go to the Raintree. This time around, I was finally able to get a reservation, and I'm extremely glad I did. They had the most amazing food, especially the escargot. Our waitress was nothing but pleasant and fun to talk to. The patio to eat outside was absolutely beautiful. I don't have anything bad to say at all!"

  • "We had dinner here before walking across the street to the waterfront church property to watch the fireworks show from the Castillo on the 4th of July and that may become a tradition for us now. The restaurant is lovely, both the patio seating and inside, the food is delicious and the service is great!"

  • "This restaurant has nice ambiance and the food was okay, but not memorable. Waited almost an hour for entrees, ordered a cup of soup that was never delivered, salads and bread were low on the quantity/quality scale. The only redeeming quality for my experience was the $30 entree (lobster & shrimp pasta) was very good and it was the 4th of July."

  • "We came at 5pm with our family from Kentucky on the 4th July before they went back home, and just before we returned to England. When we come to St Augustine Raintree is always on our list to go and eat at. The food is great, prices reasonable, and service excellent."

  • "Hannah was our server and she was quite knowledgeable about the large wine list and items on food menu. Food was excellent and well displayed. Desserts looked great, but no room for them. Varied menu choices and price ranges. Quaint and pretty atmosphere."

  • "I am going to make this short and sweet..... Went to the restaurant, which I have been to many times and ordered a filet and chicken and the filet was raw, not rare, because we always order medium rare, but completely raw, so much so we couldn't even cut through it... Then the chicken, I was told had a light drizzle of balsamic glaze over top, the chicken was swimming in sauce that i had to lift it up a scoop all the sauce off the plate. Then our waiter was nowhere to be found. We didn't get any water refills and he didn't even wait to see if the steak was properly cooked once we received it back. let me just say, it wasn't cooked to mid rare it was still raw....... We couldn't even order dessert because our waiter took off for 20 min."

  • "This restaurant was great back in the 1980's and still great today. My husband had the prime rib and he was pleased and I had the Filet Caprese which I would do again. Different take on a filet. We both enjoyed our ceasar salads but too full for desert. Cocktails were good and service was excellent from the moment we walked through the door. No problems with reservation either. We sat inside because it was just too hot that evening to sit outside. Wish they would enforce a little more of a strict dress code for a nice dining establishment."

  • "Service was standard, well kept and nice building, live music on a Saturday night. The menu didn't seem dated, but the plating and sides and style of all of the food we ordered was somthing that would come out of my grandmothers country club. Also the fact that they upcharge on fri/sat nights is just plain tacky, along with the included gratuity for my 2 top. Bottom line is there is better places to eat in St. Augustine."

  • "Our favorite neighborhood restaurant in the Nation's Oldest City! The meal is always great, the servers are happy to see you, and the atmosphere, especially in the garden, is perfect for a nice dinner in town."

  • "visiting st. Augustine, saw reviews on line. Great restaurant, very good food & service. Only weak spot was the bread! Definitely recommend it for any meal."

  • "The service and food were wonderful. It had just finished raining when we got there or we would have eaten outside!"

  • "Everything we ate was so good. I tried the salmon special which had a coconut and almond sauce. I've never had such good tasting salmon before. It didn't taste fishy at all. Their dessert was also very pleasing. We had the apple crepe (I think that's the name) delicious. The waitress was friendly and the restaurant itself was very nice. The food and drinks are pricey but worth every penny."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "There were four of us at dinner last Friday evening. Each of us was very pleased with our meal. Salads were excellent. Three of us ate the prime rib and finished every bite. I chose Beef Wellington because it is always so good that I have not tried any other entree. And-----the crepes for desert were Heavenly. We will return soon."

  • "WE had received mixed reviews on Raintree. We were very pleasantly satisfied with our dining experience. The four of us all enjoyed our meals which were varied. Our server had a fun and charming personality which was fun -- he was not intrusive but available for our needs. The food portions were good, food was served hot and our wine very nice."

  • "I moved to St. Augustine about a month ago and all my co-workers were telling me this is the place to go eat. I finally made the reservation for dinner and my my my it was great. The waiter was excellent. The atmosphere was great and the food was great. If you come to St Augustine, you have to eat at the Raintree Resturant."

  • "Service was wonderful, appetizers and dessert was awesome. The entrée was really good - we both got the prime rib with grilled shrimp. The only 'ding' I suppose was that we wanted the prime rib medium rare but that wasn't an option. It was supposed to be cooked medium, but ours were well done. Other than that, it's still a great place for 'date night'."

  • "Food was good but too limited.....would have liked to be able to order off regular menu as well as desserts....Brunch dessert was very limited....would have liked salads available either in the brunch or off regular menu...."

  • "I made a reservation and was seated exactly where I requested. The weather was great, the live music was great and the service was excellent. Food okay. HOWEVER - BEWARE SATURDAY NIGHT NON-SPECIAL. My friend was having a glass of $5 house red when I arrived. The bartender was wiping a glass and asked if that was fine with me, I agreed. Then she sat us outside at the table we requested. Everything was okay until we got the bill and noticed that the $5 glass of wine turned into an $8.45 glass of wine. In talking to the manager he said that special was only if we sat at the bar or in the lounge. Of course we were NEVER informed of this. No one likes to be surprised with extra charges. Not a place for people on a budget."

  • "Dinner with my parents while they were passing through our area was great! Very good meeting spot to catch up as they travel from Florida to NY for a few hours. Quiet atmosphere with great food and wine! The service was fantastic and the restaurant made up for the fact that our order was not correct as it was coming our of the kitchen.....never made it to the table and the staff apologized quickly and kept us interested during the wait."

  • "We often go to Raintree prior to a play at the Limelight Theatre, and did so the other night. They allow patrons to park in their lot while attending the play which is very nice. The meal, service, etc., was all good. Not great, but good. The ambiance is amazing! Only real complaint is that they advertise Ahi Tuna for a spinach salad topping. It was good tuna, but sure didn't appear to be Ahi. However, a very nice evening."

  • "I was in St Augustine with my family entertaining an out of town guest. I decided to take them to the Raintree restaurant for supper. I made reservations which were ready when we arrived. But, I was totally unimpressed with the food. I ordered a chef's special Veal San Marco. It was bland and was definitely NOT what I would consider "special". Two others in my party ordered the Black Bean Burger which we were told was hand made. However, it appeared to be a frozen black bean patty and also kind of bland. My wife ordered the Cappellini Pomodoro with house-made meatballs - while the Cappellini was good, the meatball was very bland and tasted like it was cooked with very little spice. This meal was not worth the money."

  • "My wife and I shared our wedding anniversary dinner out on the terrace. She ordered the pasta pompodoro with srimp and I ordered one of the evening's specials -- provencial with scallops and shrimp. My dinner was excellent, the scallops in particular had an excellent texture, taste, and size. My wfe's shrimp were also very good but we thought the pompodoro (sp.) sauce had little flavor. Service was excellent, the weather cooperated, and the musician did a great job too. Overall we had a very fine experience but we'll try something diferent than the Pompodoro next time."

  • "We have dined at Raintree several times in the past 3 years. The dining experience has been better each time. The staff and food are terrific. We look forward to the next time we're in St. Augustine ( we're snowbirds ) so we can dine there again."

  • "My wife Jennifer & I dined for the first time at your lovely restaurant last night. It was truly an experience that will be forever remembered by both of us. Our server (Joe) helped to make it a memorable occasion. Not only is he intelligent & funny, he is also full of charisma. Your Beef Wellington far exceeded my expectations & Jennifer has only great things to say about your Fettuccine Alfredo with sauteed chicken breast. Even your bread & salad are worthy of bragging about. The creme brulee was (so far) the best way to end the already perfect meal. We are already looking forward to dining with you again! I may have to try your Mixed Berry Crepe."

  • "Great place for tourists and locals to enjoy delicious meal! Casual yet accommodating for a special event. Can wear shorts or tuxedo and still feel appropriate during evening dining. Live entertainment loud enough to hear but not blaring so loud that you can't have a conversation. Great restaurant with menu just large enough to have sufficient choices, but not a volume to read before choosing a meal. Look forward to returning soon!"

  • "From the outdoor table to the music to the delicious food, this was a wonderful and romantic find. Read the reviews when searching for close by restaurants and thought we would give it a try. Just steps away from our hotel but we chose to drive instead. Glad we did :) wine was great! Full, happy and feeling satisfied from a romantic evening out we left with smiles on our faces. Really loved the musician!"
