The newly reopened Raindancer is definitely a winner. Both meat and seafood dishes are carefully prepared, nicely presented and generously portioned. The salad bar is one of the best we've seen with fresh greens and great toppings, even anchovies! Rolls are crisp and freshly baked. The house-made desserts are top-notch.

Although the service was excellent, there was a few places that need attention. The dining area was VERY dark -more and brighter lighting needed. We had the special three course 4PM-6PM menu. My friends had salmon as their main course and said that it was very good. My friend and I had prime rib. Both of ours was very fatty. It is not a restaurant that I could recommend to other friends.

We live 2 minutes away and never knew Raindancer was here! We tried it with friends from New England, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The salad bar was terrific, and so was the main course. The $25 3-course meal before 6:00 is a wonderful bargain.Gordon

We went for my wife's birthday and things could not have been better. The food, the service, the quiet ambiance could not have been better. I noted on my reservation through Open Table about the birthday. Without further prompting on my part they brought a birthday "cake" to the table with a candle. Also, a couple in our party wanted to split an entree and that was easily done. The second plate had an extra potato on it so it looked as good as the primary plate.

Cancelled after looking up the menu and decided that their prices were a little to high for the same items offered at similar restaurants. I have dined there in the past and felt they were under different owners seeing some of the more affordable choices were no longer available.

Raindancer's has changed ownership on several occasions over the past few years and unfortunately both the service as well as the quality of the food has suffered. My girlfriend and I arrived on time for our reservation, but we were greatly rushed by the wait staff. The fresh crabmeat appetizer we ordered was later confirmed by our waitress as having come from a can, and tasted as though the can had been opened days earlier. The food was mediocre at best and very disappointing based on previous experiences. Finally, after we both ordered Cappuccinos at the end of our meal, our waitress came back and told us that the kitchen had already closed. Overall an unpleasant and disappointing experience.

After living out of the country for several years, we returned to find that Raindancer was under new ownership. With trepidation, we booked a 3-way birthday celebration. The food was excellent to good. The wine list is limp, with California dominating. We reserved online, successfully, but the note that accompanied our reservation was ignored. We had 3 birthdays at the table and would have appreciated acknowledgement of the fact that we chose Raindancer to celebrate. We didn't even receive a candle on a plate!

I remember when I first moved to Florida and would frequent Raindancer. It was THE place to go for a great steak. After it was sold the quality and service suffered and after going 2 times I vowed never to return. When I heard recently that it was under new management I decided to give it another chance. I made reservations for Valentine's night with another couple hoping for the best. Guess what? It was fantastic!! We all had a nice, enjoyable, relaxing dinner and will definately return.

    disappointed

We have dined at Raindancer many times. This time however we were very disappointed. The Delmonico's we ordered came and one was a New York Strip. Although the staff promptly corrected the mistake, the next one brought was raw and very fatty. We did comment to the staff, but by that time had shared the first one and were full. We brought the under cooked one home but to be honest I don't pay $40 for a steak to reheat and eat the next day. With all the top steakhouses close by, we will have to think twice before choosing Raindancer over the others 5* in the area

We were warmly welcomed by the manager and seated immediately. The service staff was very attentive throughout our dinner. The salad bar and our dinners (lobster tails and rack of lamb) were excellent. We enjoyed dessert and coffee after dinner. I would definitely return to The Raindancer in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant.

  • AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE

We knew our party of four was in trouble when it took 30 minutes for the cocktails to be served to the table. The very loud and racuous nearby 6 should have been asked by management to "tone it down". On a trip to the salad bar (which I understand used to be great) we did have to ask that table to lower their screaming. Two dinners were served 15-20 minutes before the other 2 dinners. We complained and finally had the attention of the manager. To their credit, they finally offered a bottle of wine or free desserts. We accepted the desserts. They were not sensational. The steaks were delicious. We did not know this is New Management. We were given $10 off coupons for a next visit. We will NOT be making one. Ruined my birthday.

    Disappointed
    Dined on 1/5/2014
For years, the Raindancer Steak House was our #1 choice for a great steak but that came to an abrupt end Sunday night. The steaks went from being absolutely delicious to awful. The quality and taste of the meat was substandard. The steaks were mushy, grisly and had the taste of fuel. We should have complained but chose not too. How could the quality have gone from 5 star to barely 1 star over the last couple of month?

I know better than to go out New Years Eve, But I had no choice this year. Got a 7:45 reservation at the Raindancer because Okeechobee Steakhouse was booked. After waiting an hour plus for a table it was apparent that they did not have enough staff working to handle the dinning load. The waiter was good despite the fact he was over loaded. The food was good also. Never again going out for amateur hour LOL

Rain dancer was very good and the salad bar was fresh. We had the rack of lamb and the veal chop both of which were delicious. The salad bar was fresh but limited. The service was good but the waiter was a bit difficult to understand due to his heavy accent. The sweet potato was delicious too. The restaurant is too dark and too cold. They need to update the interior and correct the lighting so it's not so dark. Other than that we had a good meal.
