We had 3 orders of the fish and chips and the fish had definitely been sitting awhile under a warmer because they were not crunchy and hot. They were warm and the breading was soft. Somewhat disappointed because it was an Irish Pub and it said it was one of their "specialties" made with beer. Music was great with Irish Dancing during the band's break. Music outside on the patio too. I've passed by it so many times but never went in bc it was packed! We finally decided to give it a shot and immediately regretted never coming here before. The Shepard's pie was life changing. We usually come for lunch and share some of the amazing and unique appetizers like Smokey City and Scallop Forest. This was our first time at the Road for dinner and was digging the energy with the Irish dancers - a little load at times but that was amplified by the fact that there were 7 of us spread across the table. It was a great experience, food was great, our waiter was fantastic very attentive will definitely go back again, I made the reservation online for 5:30pm but we arrived an hour earlier and it was no problem we were seated within 5 minutes.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIrish Delight!Had lots of fun and thought it was really cool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One person in our group had an allergy and the staff were very aware of it when ordering. They brought out separate dishes and made sure none of the food touched so there was no cross contamination. The dancers were exciting, with high energy, too bad our camera died as we didn't get as many pictures as we wanted. My best girl friend and I were having an alcohol free night out, and Raglan can provide the perfect bar atmosphere without the bar itself. The dim atmosphere and Irish decor is inviting and really sets the mood for a true pub experience. The entertainment was awesome and I saw young kids enjoying themselves as well! Overall a great time!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place!!I know it's odd to say it's a good bar and a good place for kids- but they have an amazing bar that they brought over from Ireland that is gorgeous and it is Disney, so it's kid friendly. I think the food is really good. The goat cheese tart and the bread pudding are to die for. I also really enjoy the fish and chips. I try to eat there several times, when I am in town for business. I can't say enough good things - the servers are always very attentive, your glass won't sit empty. The atmosphere is exactly like being in a large Dublin Pub and the food was fantastic! The Chef is world renown. The live Irish entertainment was fabulous along with Irish dancers. Fun for the whole family, but it is a bit noisy inside due to the amount of people being served and the entertainment. I would highly recommend it for a couple or a group. For a family with small children it may be a bit much, but you might want to check it out beforehand and make that decision. It s a bit loud in the main dining area where the live entertainment includes river dancers . . . And excellent ones at that. They also have live Irish pub music in between the dance shows. All of the food is fantastic. You have to try the shepherds pie, and the fish and chips. Appetizers to die for are their "fried" scallops, wings, and onion rings ( if you order them gluten free, the batter is made with champaign and everything comes out delicately crisp). They also have an extensive and fantastic gluten free menu. As an adult group that was annoying and not remotely condusive to a real Irish pub experience but this is Disney so what do you expect. The food though was fabulous. We had three children (9, 6, and 20 mos) and two senior citizens in the party. We had a fabulous time! Our daughters loved the dancing and it entertained the toddler so that we could enjoy our food. I had the clam chowder, which was outstanding. Great, attentive service that really tried to meet the needs of a group with small children. One caveat: it is very loud, especially during the dancing, so those hard of hearing may struggle to catch conversation. Disney prices but the food and atmosphere were well worth it. We went for a late lunch and the service and atmosphere were excellent. Every thing was delicious.
