RadishRadishThis unassuming, understated, esthetical corner restaurant has none of the pretentiousness or preciousness of the Valencia corridor, yet consistently serves perfectly prepared po' boy sandwiched, gourmet burgers, lightly dressed salads with vibrantly fresh ingredients. The wait staff are women in my experience, and refreshingly down-to-earth. This is a true neighborhood gem.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMLively local establishmentWorth returning. Good combo of veggie and meat options. Notable wine list. Friendly service.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pre-bar hoppin' foodDined on Friday evening with a group of 8 ladies for a bachelorette party. Admittedly, bachelorette attendees can be a tough crowd to handle, but the server (Katie) was awesome. Really helpful and fun. The food was perfect as a starter for a night of bar-hopping, comfort food that didn't feel too greasy or heavy. The fried items were done with a cornmeal batter, I think, which gave it a great crunch. My favorite item of the night came out of left-field - I'm usually not a fan of restaurant mac n' cheese, but the side order at Radish was soooo good. Had to tack on those extra o's there to emphasize. They also have a great happy hour. I'm already dreaming of an after work glass of wine and some cheesy goodness on the side.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA Surprise in the MissionWe were in the mood for Cajun, and the Cats and Puppies dish caught my attention. The food was excellent. The best po' boy this side of the Big Easy. The wine was excellent, the service was great, the food was surprisingly amazing. We were expecting a casual so-so dining experience, so the quality of the offerings of both wine and food were a treat. Not to mention, the prices were more than fair.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat potential but two dishes overSalads were great, two of the four meals were delicious but the vegan pot pie was so salty it was almost inedible and the gumbo' s great taste was spoiled by taste of overly spiced (I have no problem with hot dishes in general).5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunch spotAvoids the bridge and tunnel crowd, takes reservation, fresh and delicious food, friendly staff. Loved it!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my favorite restaurantsOne of my favorite restaurants in SF! Awesome brunch, awesome servers. Love everything about it.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMRed pepper bisque = top drawer;Red pepper bisque = top drawer; service super attentive at first, then just so-so.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNot a bad place for a get together.A nice restaurant in the mission, good specials. Ambiance could be a little better, maybe service a tiny bit slow. Menu items like mac n cheese were small but good.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMTry one of their burgers! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We were there for brunch had bottomless mimosas (only $12 a person if you are getting food). There is a new burger on the list that is really good (homemade ranch, jalapenos, etc). It is difficult to get a reservations during prime brunch hours but if you are willing to get there early or after the main crowd it is really easy.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood great, service great,Food great, service great, they do that annoying super bright white open kitchen light thing screws the ambiance. Nobody wants to see your mop sink.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMNice little neighborhood spot.Nice little neighborhood spot. The service was very friendly and efficient. I had the oyster po boy, my daighter had the shrimp po boy and a friend had a specially made hamburger due to dietary restrictions. All were good, very tasty and a fair price. We went on a late Saturday afternoon and the brunch crowd was still there. There were a couple of very loud and annoying women (drinking too much???) so I might go a little later next time for the early dinner/very late lunch crowd. Overall good experience and the service was superb!2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood, server, and atmosphereFood, server, and atmosphere was great. Only thing I would say needs work is the speed of food getting to the table.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
