  • "Went to Racks at 7:30 on a Friday night when most other Mizner park restaurants were booked and should've taken this as my first warning. There were 4 of us. The good is we were seated promptly and the ambience has a cool feel (funky, huge lights hanging from the ceiling that are made of large tubes). Our server took our drink order and brought it quickly and was nice. The rest of the meal he brought 2 of our appetizers then we waited 4-5 minutes for the other 2, and same thing with our dinners. Three of us ordered red meat dishes and they were all bland and chewy meat. Nothing was hot. Very forgettable food and too many other good choices nearby to go back."

  • "I read all the reviews about this location. They were very mixed be we decided to give it a shot. Most of the issues were with service and yes, we had the same experience. Service was very slow. I think our server was new. She read us all the specials for the night and then realized she was reading off the wrong paper and had to go get the correct one. We both ordered salads but only 1 arrived. I had to remind her that I also ordered a salad. We ordered a kids pizza which arrived with basil or some sort of green leafy substance on it. I would assume that most kids would not like that. They were very quick to replace that meal with a pasta dish which was good. Peter, the manager on duty, did come by and check on us and was gracious about it."

  • "Requested a table outside with our reservation. Got there and was told a 15 minute wait. Half hour later we were told 15 more minutes but they could seat us inside. We walked around, found an empty table outside and they reluctantly gave us a table. Reservation was for 8:00 pm we sat down at 8:45. Not acceptable."

  • "We dine at Rack's fairly regularly, and the food is always very good,. This time was no exception. Even the items from the new sushi menu were great. But the service. Ugh. I asked for recommendations on three menu items and the waiter basically read the menu to me. No help at all. We had to go get our own soda and water refills from another waiter. Never asked if we wanted another cocktail. Our meals were almost finished before he asked how the food was. We had to chase down the manager to order dessert. It was a complete mess, and something not worthy of a restaurant with this caliber of food ... and these prices!"

  • "Went to Racks Sunday afternoon and had a great experience- joe was our server and food and service was great. So decided to go back on Friday night and had a completely different experience. Don't know the waiters name because he never told us but our receipt said his name was Bucci. This guy was not worried about us at all - too pre-occupied with the table across from us. We barely saw him -didn't make us feel like he gave a damn about us. Food was ok - overall we were thrown off from the start and contemplated leaving after poor service prior to getting drinks. Hindsight - we should of because didn't get any better. Overall, we will spend more money and go to trulucks or just spend the same money and go to j Alexander's -they want our biz"

  • "I had dinner there one week earlier and food and service were great. In fact I had the same dinner twice. I ordered Sesame crusted Tuna. My Tuna was great the first time and terrible the second. My server was anything but accommodating. I told him I did want a replacement or credit. However I told him to let the manager know. When paying check I asked what manager had to say. He said I should not tell you, but he said the tuna tasted good and I was wrong. We had three other dinners and two were not as good as always. However the calamari was great."

Pizza with wild mushrooms was very good but next time I would ask for it to be well done as that is how I like my pizza and this was very soft but flavor was excellent.   • "Our party of four had crab meat and shrimp cocktail to start. We should have eaten it at the bar or bar table for $9 during happy hour rather than at the table for $18, but the quality was good. For entrees we had the crab cakes- superb, the seabass with crab topping - overcooked but otherwise tasty, the salmon - not memorable, and the spicy tuna roll - where's the tuna? The pretzel sticks would have been a fun change, but only two were served for a party of four. How are you expected to share a pretzel stick? I'd go back for the happy hour but not for dinner."

We hadn't been to Racks in a while, but the food is good, the prices are within reason, and it does have a nice atmosphere for dining. The tables are a tad closer together than I would like, but overall it was a good experience. Our waiter was great and our company enjoyed their evening as well. Good place for people watching in Boca :)"

  • "We were really disappointed - when we got there the waiter was fabulous - after we ordered he was never to be found. No bread and when finally requested from another server it arrived a long time after and was burnt. The brussel sprouts were disappointing and neither tastey or well cooked. However, the appetizer of the rock shrimp and the salad were great....main courses, meatloaf and salmon were nothing special."

  • "We had a great experience at Racks. We were greeted at the hostess station when we arrived very graciously. Our table was available and we were seated immediately. Our waiter Peter greeted us and took exceptional care of us during our divining experience. We had a dozen blue point oysters which were delicious. We all ordered different entries and there were no left overs. Needless to say the food was great. This was our second time there this winter and we will definitely be there again."

  • "What a find. The short rib with risotto was so tender that you didn't even need a knife to cut it. The risotto was creamy but not over-powering. The sushi roll - had dragon in the name - was some of the best sushi I've ever had. The service was a bit slow, but our waiter did the best he could. Just disappointing that when he said the shortrib would take some time, he didn't mention it would take nearly an hour! My friend didn't like her dish, so he got her something else and seemed to push through that order, which we appreciated."

  • "Crowded , good looking place. We ordered a shrimp tempura roll to share. It came out very quickly. The shrimp was over battered and over cooked. It made me think it had been pre prepared. They served rolls that were a bit odd. On the hard side and dark. However the butter was a mustard sauce that was quite good. My wife's sea bass was overcooked, a no no for that fish. My salmon was done perfectly medium as the waiter said it would be. However, there was a mustard sauce around the plate that tasted exactly like the mustard sauce butter that came with the bread. One of the managers stopped by so I told him about the sauce. He said they were not the same....which didn't matter much to me. Food quality was good just poorly prepared."

Menu is a bit "off" as well in that it fails to have enough staples and has too many "creative" choices. Their seafood venue in Delray is the better choice by far."

  • "A friend recommended this restaurant to me for a work dinner and I was skeptical because of some of the reviews. I asked for a quiet table and we got the perfect table! Food was delicious and Monday nights is half off wine which was wonderful. Only real complaint was the waiter, he was very condescending and snobby. One of my colleagues asked about a specific wine because it was not on the wine list, but the waiter insisted that it was. The waiter took our wine list to check and never apologized for being rude. All in all a good meal and modern, fun atmosphere."
