  • "This place is every bit as good as any place in Philadelphia. To find a gem like this in POTTSTOWN is unheard of. Everything was excellent. The service was great and the food was truly unique and delicious. After commenting on how wonderfully uniform my pork and my girlfriend's steak was cooked, the waitress told me that the chef cooks all the meat sous vide. The very fact that the chef cooks everything sous vide and then doesn't even bother to mention it makes me like this place even more. Which makes it incredibly hard to accept that after tonight, Racine is closing. Unfortunately, Pottstown just isn't ready for a place like this. We've got tonight... No need for tomorrow..."

  • "Everything that touched our table was delicious. The menu was unique, and focused on fresh, local ingredients. Overall we were very pleased. It would have been a nice touch to have the chef come out to talk to the tables, as that is usually my favorite part of the boutique restaurants. It helps to put a face and a story with the business. Also, having 2 servers was almost overkill, but there were certainly no details that went overlooked. The "onsen" egg was incredible... A must try!"

Some of the courses that I had ordered I could not pronounce, but "Oh my god!", it ended up being one of the best meals I had ever had!! Five stars... They are real, exotic and usually delicious. What more can you want? BYOB and about $50-70 per person depending on courses."

  • " i don't dine out much because i am tied to home due to my work (pet care). but my friends dine out at least a couple times a week and they said racine provided their most unique dining experience ever! one of my friends said chef greg vassos is a food genius. my comment is that he is a food artist and your plate is his canvas. but it goes beyond looking good--it tastes great! and that applies to every bite we put in our mouths. there are five of us and we try to order different entrees and then we taste everything. i am loving foods that i thought i would never eat--pork belly, goat, octopus?? my conclusion is that if chef vassos cooked it, i will eat it. can't wait to go again. "

This time we had a private room off the the side for 4 which is great because we could talk more loudly and not disturb others. The food was great as always and every one wants to come back soon.   • "sweet, small Farm to Table restaurant with creative menu. we did a yummy dance with each course. this in inexpensive, but we all believed the meal was worth the price. because it was a BYOB we could bring our own nice wine. Racine was not crowded on the Friday night that we dined, I think that once it is discovered, it will be hard to get a table. The service was perfect. "

Service is top-notch: our servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and couldn't do enough to make our experience a delight. And the food is beyond excellent. Presentation is beautiful and upscale, the food outstanding, and the chef is highly skilled. He created a 4-course vegan meal for my friend and me that was absolutely delicious! By the way, this was not on the menu--he just accommodated our needs and the result was beyond our expectations. Also, portions are more than adequate. In short, I would highly recommend Racine to anyone who is looking for a top-notch dining experience. We'll definitely be back--again and again!"
