Great food. This restaurant gets 3 stars for overall experience due to the host. Rudest host I have ever encountered. We were a party of six and I had friends from out of town; I wanted to take them to a nice restaurant. Two of us arrived on time, the rest of us arrived five minutes after our reservation, so I understand we were partially to blame for his crankiness, but when I called to tell him, he hung up the phone on me. When we arrived and said we were ready, he said, "there are only four of you" and then pointed to us and counted out loud to four. I had to tell him the other two were at the bar waiting. He then said go to the bar and wait with them. While we were sitting there, I was actually looking up other places to go. He was so rude that we actually considered leaving before we were even seated. Great food, but terrible service. Typical North End, but if you always treat guests that way, you're going to loose them.. Last time I will go to Rabia's. It's a shame.

We decided to come here when the wait at Neptune was 2 hours for the two of us. It was a decent backup, but a step below Neptune. We got an assortment of oysters, crab claws and a lobster roll. The selection was decent, but the didn't seem to have a few of my favorites. I'd probably go back if the Neptune wait was excessive, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Haven't been in the Boston area in over 10 years, so I was excited that my old time favorite for Lobster Ravioli was still there. The place is the same, although they have expanded, but that is all that holds up to my fantastic memories. The wait staff was ok, but not very knowledgeable of the area or the menu. I had the same thing I used to love, clam chowder and lobster ravioli. My husband had the same as I always raved about the place, even though he has never been. Well I was very disappointed. The clam chowder was very thin, so much so it dripped from the spoon and the lobster ravioli used to have chunks of lobster in the ravioli, not a ravioli paste and chunks in the champagne sauce. This time it had neither. I won't be going back.

The food is fresh, the wine superb, the service was excellent. It is our favorite restaurant and we go back as often as we can. Just acknowledge the fact that you have to park in the garage near Faneuil Hall and walk 3 or 4 blocks to get there. There is no parking in the North End and that is a given. We try to go during the week to escape the crowds.

It's hard to get a table on a Saturday night at a reasonable time in Boston's North End. This restaurant wasn't my first choice, but I'm glad we went. We had the calamari for an appetizer which was fine, but nothing special. I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious and not too huge a portion that I didn't have room for a cannoli from one of the bakeries down the street. Their menu is seafood, mostly, done Italian style and everyone I dined with enjoyed what they ordered.

NEVER going back - one of the worst dining experiences ever. The surly guy working the front door completely blew us off. Finally got seated at the table and ordered garlic bread, only to be told that they were out. Really? In the North End, at an Italian restaurant, you're out of garlic bread? But they WERE able to bring us bread. Really? So you have bread, but no garlic bread? Does that mean you're out of garlic? The waitress was good, and the food was pretty good. We then ordered espressos post-meal, only to be told they wouldn't serve us coffee. Apparently it's restaurant policy that they won't serve coffee to anyone until after 8:30. But they WOULD serve us more drinks. REALLY? Talk about bad customer service - offensive, in fact.

Not much more to say than that. Ordered specials, and they were phenomenal. Stuffed Chicken (spinach, ricotta, sun dried tomato) and an amazing Seafood Pasta dish consisting of a bed of rigatoni loaded down with a whole lobster tail, two jumbo shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams. The food was phenomenal. Keep up the good work.

There are 2 menus - one seafood and the other italian. It took us 20 mins trying to figure out what we wanted because they have so many great options. Had the fettucini with lobster and it was wonderful. The lobster was more than expected as from my previous experience at other restaurants, you have to find the lobster. My husband had the baked scrod over horseradish mashed potatoes and cleaned his dish not because he was hungry but because he said he couldn't get enough of the flavor. Will return next time in the Boston area!

This is our third time at this restaurant. We were seated promptly. As usual, the menu offers plentiful choices both traditional Italian and seafood. We were all pleased with our meals; lobster ravioli, seafood fra diavolo, and a lobster ravioli with shrimp in lemon/wine sauce. The waiter was accurate when he stated the caprese salad had excellent tomatoes. The dish was good if a bit skimpy for the price. Overall pleased and will return.

I love Rabia's, the food and service have been excellent every time. There are a large amount of dinner options; one menu is dedicated to specials and that's what my boyfriend and I ordered from. Unfortunately the specials were much more expensive than I realized and we spent a ton of money! The food was worth it but I wish i had asked how expensive the specials were ahead of time ($66 each). If I wasn't shocked by the bill I would have given 5 stars. It's worth noting there are much more affordable options on the menu.

Rabias specializes in Italian seafood although they have a full menu of Italian fare for non-seafood lovers. The restaurant is small and the tables are close...just like inItaly. They offer a variety of oysters, seafood pasta, as well as grilled seafood. Prices range from $25-$35 for a seafood entree, less for standard Italian fare.

We arrived on time for our 7PM dinner reservation. While we were seated right away, the table we were given was a makeshift table that blocked part of a doorway, and backed up to the bar. Everything was fine except that when the bar got crowded, I kept getting hit in the head by the folks at the bar. The food was excellent as expected. One exception was the squid, which was a bit chewy. The waitstaff was attentive. The evening was enjoyable, but the restaurant should not seat people in doorways and so close to the bar.

My daughter and I wanted badly to have some Italian food that we have been craving since coming back from Italy a few months ago. We were particularly craving Linguine and clams. From the internet I found Rabia's to be highly recommended. We gave it a shot. After a stop at Mike's Pastries for later, we went to Rabia's. Rabia's did not dissapoint. The service was excellent and attentive and the food was amazing. The plates came with Quahogs piled high. The noodles were wonderful and every thing was amazingly fresh. My daughter and I LOVED the food and it certainly satisfied that "miss Italian food" spot. I'd recommend it.

Waitstaff was aggressively rude. Seafood was over cooked-- lobster was like shoe leather. One of the pasta dishes was doused in raw garlic and was inedible. We would have sent it back if the waitress had deigned to stop by our table. The oysters were actually quite good, the only redeeming part of our experience at this restaurant.

Went here for Father's day for the first time. The appetizer was excellent (baby octopus) as was the bread and wine. My wife ordered off the regular menu getting the seafood fra diavalo. Her entree was very good, flavorful with a generous portion. I ordered the power seafood and pasta off the specials menu. It was very under seasoned with barely any flavor although there was admittedly a very generous portion of seafood, including a split lobster. However, when I got the bill, it was $62 for my entree alone! There was no price on the specials menu so I felt a little deceived. I cannot say I would go back, not even for the octopus.

We were looking for an Italian Seafood restaurant and chose Rabia's. It was not a disappointment. We had been walking around all day and had an early dinner at 5:30. I'm sure it starts getting packed by 6:30, but we had quick service since we were one of the only tables. We started with six oysters. They have a nice selection from all over New England and a few P.I.s as well. My boyfriend got the veal saltamboca (sp?) and I got the fradiavalo (again, sp?). The veal was excellent. Perfectly cooked. Mine had plenty of seafood, but the calamari was on the rubbery side and I would have liked a little more kick and flavor to the sauce. I'd definitely go back and try something else though because the overall experience was lovely.

Disinterested service, couldn't be bothered to confirm us in LinkedIn so I got the dreaded "deadbeat email". Food was fine, oysters were fresh, Risottos and Gnocchi were delicious. The place was pretty empty, yet they seated us right next to an annoying couple who were complaining about her meal the entire time. I know it's a touristy area, but you don't have to treat everyone with disdain. I've eaten here before and it was great, maybe I should just chalk it up to an early meal and the Belmont Stakes....

You can actually have a conversation without shouting. I think all their food is good with some dishes being great, such as their risotto. The other big plus for them is that their food comes out hot. All in all, you know you'll have a good meal at Rabia's.

The raw bar items were very good. Service was good. Lazy man's lobster was too heavily sauced to taste the lobster! I did not appreciate that there was a big sign on every table that if you rated them highly on a # of websites, you would get a free dessert. We went there because of the high ratings by other diners, and now I feel deceived!
