  • "Rabia's is one of the good Italian restaurants in the North End. The menu offers both a choice of traditional Italian & creative dishes several of of which have a north African influence. The restuarant also offers a separate seafood menu which include a variety of fresh caught fish caught fish. In addition Rabia's has a raw bar with a good selection of fresh oysters, clams, shrimp, lobster and crab legs. There are two rooms, both with a quaint atmosphere one itlaian the other a sea theme. The service is efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. Your sure to find something to please your palate."

  • "Nice place, not spectacular. There are better choices in the North End. Quality of the food was ok. It would be nice to get an accompanying vegetable with a main course. It looks very bare when you just get served a meat dish with nothing else on the plate. The caprese salad appetizer was served with rock hard tomatoes. I know it's winter, but they could have used campari tomatoes which are readily available and have much better flavor."

  • "Love Rabia's! Been there 3 times so far and each time has been a unique experience. Every dish is authentic Italian. My son spent 3 months in Florence, Italy and claims this restaurant is the only one he has been to in the States that reminds him of true italian food, not American Italian. He especially loves their seafood dish which includes everything from fresh shrimp, mussels and baby octupus. Wine list is expansive also. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Oysters and appys were excellent! Linguini vongole, clams over cooked. Lobster Risotto was mushroom risotto with lobster and was under seasoned. Lazy Man's lobster was excellent as was the Squash Raviolli. Good wine list."

  • "Been at this establishment many times over the past years. Food is great, good selections and fresh. I have tried other places in the area but continue to return here. I like the fact that they have so many varieties to choose from. The menus are not limited to the food that many only stock for that week. LOTS of choices. You will not regret this place. I do suggest during weekends that have multiple local events - make reservations on open table. I have sent many friends here who were just as satisified. You won't regret it!"

  • "The seafood overall was really good. Mussels, clams, baby octopus, oysters all over linguine was quite good. The place is fairly small and nice for a romantic occasion. The service could have been better and for the price you pay you would expect some more interaction with your server besides one word responses. Overall it was an above average seafood restaurant."

  • "Tough to make a poor quality antipasto, but with 4 slices of cheap salami and 2 pieces of mozzarella and a couple of pieces of pickled peppers you've got it. Dinner was a total disappointment with a small piece of veal and nothing but some sauce and cheese over it. Couldn't really find the eggplant. Should have know when there was no one in the place on a busy night in the North End."

  • "Wet naps are important. Going from an appetizer to an entree after eating lobster is not the same when you have to get up to wash your hands. A wet nap would do the trick so the customer can hold off until after dinner to wash their hands. This is the first restaurant I have been to that sells seafood and has no wet naps for their customers. Truly a minor detail that goes a long way for the customer. The restaurant is really nice, customer service was great, truly enjoyed it! Thanks."

  • "Made a reservation for 8, and our table was ready right on time. The servers were extremely friendly and got all of our orders right (including some substitutions). The food arrived promptly and was delicious! Also the restaurant itself is very cute. Located in Boston's North End (Italian district), the restaurant's decorations and ambience felt very authentic. There were several wines on the drink menu. As with most restaurants in this neighborhood, it was a little cramped (although we were all comfortable), but I think it'd be great for smaller parties and/or very romantic for two."

  • "I've been to many of the North End restaurants, particularly on Hanover Street. Rabias was first time for me on Salem Street in years. The place is small, crowded and busy like most in the North End so you will be sitting close to others. Service was excellent, food was very good though a little bland for my taste. Wine list very good. All in all a very good choice for something off super crowded Hanover Street. I will definitely go again and recommended it to friends."

  • "Enjoyed a lovely Thursday night dinner with two others. Oysters and muzzles were outstanding for our appetizer, very fresh. The lamb and fish stew were out of this world for dinner. The lamb was a perfectly cooked medium rare, seasoned and sauced wonderfully. The soup was... Wow! So full of delicious clams, mussels, calamari, and on top a half lobster. Our waiter was very kind to accommodate a dairy allergy as well, not skipping a beat and helping select suitable items. A wonderful place for a few friends or a date to enjoy great good, great wine, and a lovely atmosphere."

  • "This place was recommended by a dear friend and colleague (who is an Italian Boston native) as a small but fabulous neighborhood place. I just ate here with three colleagues and had a very enjoyable meal. Seafood dishes were the stars. We tried lobster bisque, New England clam bake, lobster and seafood pasta and lobster risotto with truffle oil, which was exceptional. We also had the veal saltimbocca which had good flavor but fairly small portion of veal for the price. The servers were warm & friendly. They readily split dishes for 2 of us who we're sharing the veal and risotto and also pushed over next door table so we'd have more space. The overall experience was fantastic. I will not only go back but recommend highly to others."

  • "We went in with the intention of eating italian so we ordered from the italian menu and passed on the seafood. We had the chicken parm, marsala, saltambuca and salmai brocolli penne. We shared tastes of our plates with one another and everything was very good. Although we did not get any seafood, the people next to us did and it looked amazing! The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The only reason this did not get 5 stars was because the wine was horrible. We ordered a $60 bottle of wine to share and it tasted like something that came from the $5 bin at the package store. They need to improve the wine selection to match their great food and it would be awesome! Otherwise, I would defininately eat here again."

  • "Took 5 Omaha friends and a woman from Zambia for dinner following a tiring conference. No one was disappointed. We all loved it. The food and wine ccouldn't have been better. The caprese salad with warm lobster meat was to die for. The pastas and sauces were excellent and the calamari were cooked perfectly. They graciously took care of one of us with a food allergy. I was a hero. Found Rabia's by carefully reviewing Open Table site. I'll definitely return!"

  • "I have been to Rabia's previously for oysters and wine. Delightful. Delicious. Saturday evening, I had supper there with 3 others. As usual, the oysters were delicious, but 2 of the 6 Wellfleet's I had were tiny and rather mangled. For the price, I expect a meaty, intact oysters. I also had the steamed mussels. Very nice. Another in the party had the lamb and was disappointed. My husband had the pasta carbonara and has never had worse. The flavor was overwhelmed by much too much undercooked garlic. It dominated the flavor such that almost nothing else could be discerned in the sauce. A shame. I would suggest sauteeing the garlic on medium heat to golden, then removing it. So......for oysters.....a GREAT PLACE. For entrees, a little iffy."

  • "This place is very tight, but then again most places are in the North End. The sever was wonderful, we have an 8 year old and he can be a tough customer but she knew just how to handle him. We are a gang of four and we all ordered different plates, and raved how our choice was the best. I would have given this place 5 stars overall, but our table was in the middle of a walk way. No word of a lie, I was bumped nudged and shoved as servers past at least 10 times!!! Kind of unsetting as your trying to enjoy your meal, as your hip checked over and over, other than that it was great..."

  • "Very good food. Items on the "Rabia's specials" menu were very pricey but the à la carte menu was reasonable. Overwhelming number of choices as there is a full seafood menu and a full Italian menu. It was very busy so we had to wait outside a bit. The host doesn't stay up front so we weren't sure if we were forgotten or if he simply didn't care. In the end we realized he knew exactly how many people were waiting outside and for how long and he was doing his best to get us seated as quickly as possible. All the staff were very curteous and efficient. The tables are a little small and the place was a bit crowded but the food made up for it. We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a very pleasant dining experience. Limited parking in the area."

Food was good, with Oyster bar (I should have asked for a sampler, because the ones I got were small and quite salty). Service was great and attentive, would give it another shot.
