   Loved it! Our waitress was fantabulous and the chef greeted us and introduced us to the artist whose paintings hang on the walls. The black mushroom dish was outstanding. Also loved the fried fish. Excellent service!

   They lost their license and were not open despite having an active open table reservation system. They should not have kept it open. This disrupted business lunch meeting.

   Everything was delicious. My friend and I ordered so much food that they dragged the table next to us over, so that we had enough room. We ordered the pate kode with codfish- delicious. We also ordered the fritay with kabrite and banan - heavenly. Those were just our apps. Then we had the fried branzino with black rice and sweet plaintain and a side of legume. So, so, so good. Everything was the perfect temperature and seasoned to perfection. As for cocktails- everything is yummy. You can’t go wrong with any choice. So glad we chose this restaurant for dinner.

   We enjoyed our experience at Zanmi! We went there to celebrate my father’s 85th birthday. The food was delicious, it came quickly and the rice and Mac and cheese are served in traditional mini Haitian pots. I was so thankful for the all day Haitian Dinner menu. The only thing that was missing was some Haitian music. My husband asked for Kompas and they happily obliged. I will definitely be back and will also check out the Soho spot. Bon travaille!

   I really wanted to like Zanmi, but it felt short in terms of food, service, and credibility. Zanmi advertised itself as a Haitian restaurant, but the food is not authentic. Lambi wasn’t fresh. One can barely taste the mushrooms (if any) in the black rice, and the macaroni was made with cheddar cheese. In addition, the waiters don’t speak Haitian creole. We were there to celebrate a special night and asked the host for a more spacious table for our party of three. She said no because the requested tables were reserved for party of four. By the time we left, only parties of three sat on the tables that we requested. This obviously left me to believe that the host wasn’t honest. This lack of credibility also came through on the bill that i received. Make sure that you review your bill carefully as I was overcharged. Their system priced the appetizers •30% higher than the price listed on their menu. While they did try to address it, but the gratuity amount did not change. At that point, I was ready to leave because I couldn’t wait another 10-15 min longer for them to fix issues in their financial system. Some pros - I did like the fact that Haitian music was playing in the background and the food was well presented. Our waitress was also nice and patient. While I was eager to try Zanmi, I won’t be a repeat customer.

   Zanmi was AMAZING! We are Haitian and decided to drive an hour to Brooklyn to celebrate our Mom’s birthday at a family-friendly Haitian restaurant. Zanmi beyond exceeded our expectations! The food was incredible, drinks strong & flavorful, music on point, ambiance a vibe, and the service was SPECTACULAR! (Easily breaking the stereotype about Haitian customer service.) Mom says this was her best birthday dinner yet! Thanks to Jacques and the entire Zanmi Team for helping us make our Mom feel like the Queen she is! We will be back.

   It was outstanding, the staff was very friendly, and the host was very sweet and professional. The food was yummy. Overall, wonderful service.

    Overall, Zanmi was a positive dining experience. The Haitian menu was interesting and the food delicious. The first waiter who served us accommodated our special-needs child, and was attentive to our needs, which included turning down the music on the outdoor patio. But when his shift ended, the server who replaced him seemed to forget we were there. But we will definitely return for the amazing food and fresh cocktails.
